What Keeps You Going?

When things appear to be falling apart, what keeps you going?

My vision drives me. I know that my vision is coming true to matter what appearances indicate. Also, when I am feeling a little better I realize when things appear to be falling apart I am closer to my goal.

The Break Down precedes the Build Up.

Having a clear goal, then taking the necessary steps to reach it. I know that I'll have to deal with setbacks along the way, but I try to anticipate and deal with them.

I've experienced a setback very recently, but assured myself that I will make it if I just keep going.

Six kids who need soccer cleats and school clothes is a pretty good motivator for me. Do I really need any other?

I've found more success than I ever thought I would in 10 years of online marketing but one of my main drivers is fear of losing it all. The chances of that happening are close to 0 at this point for me but it's still an irrational fear that always has me grinding.

Yes... I agree... Having a goal set and broken down into smaller more realistic steps make it easier to keep going and eventually reach the goal you had set for yourself. It is then such a great accomplishment and gives you strength to set a new goal!!

    Thanks for the feedback all.

Matt, I don't have that as a driver - at this time - but can respect it. Maybe in the future

Bgray, I still hold that irrational fear. It's tough to lose old habits. It's great to have faith as a driver but fear pokes you with a prod like nothing else.

Webwriter, me too. Actually a series of tough setbacks. They are pushes forward, that's all. I've left each with a stronger resolve.

What keeps me going is the fact that there is no other route. Succeed or die. I don't accept failure. It might deter my plans for the time being due to my insecurities or lack of strength. But courage is what keeps me going...

“Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.”

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”

I WILL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW. AND WILL KEEP TRYING EVEN IF IT SEEMS SO FAR...

When things appear to be crumbling all around me, it is through self confidence and faith that I can look around and say:

This is only a mirage! I will succeed, be happy, and have fun doing it!

      Works every time for me!

I like the mirage analogy MissTerraK, works well for me too

Everything is a fleeting appearance, that's it. The Reality is the idea held in mind.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right. - Henry Ford

This quote really inspires me, I know that if I believe in myself and believe I can accomplish my goals then I can.

If I don't believe, then I won't succeed. It's as simple as that.
