How personal development can be used for success on the internet

On this subforum we discuss about the tools that we need to have more success in internet marketing.

With that in mind, in this post I would like to share with you 6 tools that have helped me in my internet projects, and that can help you with your web projects.

---------------------------

Let's start:

1. Speed reading. For success on the internet you'll need to read a lot of content. Does not matter whether you learn new things or review the content for your new website, you do not have to waste too much time on reading. Learn speed reading, and you will have time for important things.

2. Mind maps. This will help you organize your thoughts and goals. If you make a mind map of your new site, marketing plan or a web project, you will have much greater flexibility and visibility, than if you have only written text.

3. Goals and Objectives. Honestly, you must have clear written goals of what you want. Otherwise, you will waste time and energy on things that are not important to you. Find what you want from this project (the outcome of the project) and write clearly what it is and when you want that. You can use the SMART method.

4. Goal Board. Once you create objectives, make a "Goal Board." In this way you will have a constant focus and motivation.

5. Time management. The more you apply the techniques of time management, you will be more productive. Soon you will be able to do 10 times more efficient and faster than today. Link

6. Visualization. Take just 20 minutes before you work to visualize what you get when you reach the desired outcome. Concentrate your mind on good things and benefits, such as money, pride, knowledge, strength... This will give you so much enthusiasm and energy, you will work as a machine.

Good luck my friends!

A goal board is very helpful I agree. It not only lets you map out where you want to go, I find it motivating as well.

I would add the practice of kaizen. It is the breaking down of activities into small achievable results that, over time, add up to big successes.

Oh, I guess speed reading is natural to any internet marketer, albeit college students might have an advantage... Having 3 days to learn 150 A4 really helps.

I agree with everything you said, but what exactly is a "mind map?" I've heard this term before but have no idea what it means!

    Hi Chris

Here's a good overview from wiki what a mind map is: Mind map - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mind maps can be highly effective if you know how to use them the right way.

all my stuff are in mindmaps.

I write it down in a big notebook. the size of a bond paper or even bigger!

      It's all scribbles.

dirty and everything. then i still 'rewrite' aah, i mean retype! them in mindjet to print them out.

reason i do this is to allow me to continually brainstorm and improve.

      very very powerful.

Personal development is only great to bring out what is already inside of you. It does nothing but make you a better you. And the way you get better is by taking action in the right direction and never being afraid to fall and take a step in the wrong direction with the courage to walk back.

These are all really great strategies and techniques.

I use most of them on a daily/weekly basis.

    Thanks for posting this.
