Just wondering what Personal development or self improvement forums some of you warriors may frequent?

I've got my own list of populars but really wanted names of about two more that i could read and also make my own contributions.

Thanks.

    Hi danthony,

Steve Pavlina runs a rockin' PD forum: Personal Development for Smart People Forums It's the only one I frequent. Other than that I like to get my PD fix through youtube videos and blogs.

    All the best!

    Thanks for the links guys.

Tynan seems like an interesting dude. Not big on minimalism here but whatever works for you, I say.

      He is.

You should rather rethink your stance minimalism, because it's primar quality is concentration, reducto ab essentia. It is only by concentration that the next step is achieved.

i am far less of a fan of minimalism..for it's sake.

it is like going vegan because it was the only way to cut down meat consumsion and then going paleo ..

but that being said at this point in my life i have cut down what i own to what i can fit in a suitcase and a carry on.. and not have either packed that tight .

the thing we own should improve the experience of our lives now ..when they no longer do that it is time to pass them on ..

and it is a sign of mental illness to let things we do not own bring us misery and it is generally those people who benifit the most from minimalism .

I found this thread searching for PD forums myself. I haven't been to Steve Pavlina's, but I've read many articles on his site and he's the real deal. Well thought-out content minus the fluff. Truly for smart people living on planet Earth, not the starry-eyed.

Just a thought for you - I think if you are connected to the personal development theme, then you will find many of these by simply seeking out the key words and phrases that mean something to you by searching for on the search engines.

I am developing one now but it's more focused on the business side of personal development...they are separate but also one in the same in many respects.

Such an important topic for business folks

I find the problem with personal development..is to much of it revolves around making more money..or you get into spitual stuff witch puts a negative tint on making money ..

you will only ever make the money to live the life you think you are worthy of living

figure out what life you want to live and what aspects of it ..say you want to travel.. there are forums for nearly everywhere you may want to travel to.. get better at cooking.. raise goats or chickes to have much healthier sources of protien.. live a vegan life style.. a paleo life style .. hell just be fat and talk about eating good tasting fattening food ..

the idea of personal development is it is personal

and you are more likly to develop going to forums and getting tips on getting better on where you want to develope..than getting links to sight of people motivating you to make the changes ..

it is much more motivatig to get advice from people doing that which you want to do

At the moment, this is the one I'm hanging around the most: www.personal-development.com/community/
I used to be quite active at Steve's forum until he closed it down.

Guys. I will also launch personal development website with forum soon. I think this will be a good thing for those of you who is looking those forums. forums helps real people to help each other. Steve made a mistake by shutting it down. I hope the new personal development website with forum will help to unite people and solve their problems they are facing.

My life was changed when I've started to read some of the best personal development books. But the one that I love the most is The Science of Getting Rich written by Wallace D. Wattles. I personally recommend this book to everyone who want to change his way of thinking into Positive Thinking. You can listen full audiobook here:

i loved the science of getting rich. I must have read that book like 3 times. It takes a few readings that stuff is kinda out there and even though the book isn't big the concepts take some thinking about to grasp.

Personally I love this blog https://gettingclose.net/ with self-development section. Everything is in a step-by-step manner and there's nothing vague or incomprehensible.

I like the "Strategies & Tactics for Getting Efficient" section of the startupnation.com community. For personal development in the finance area you can try the bogleheads. org forum.

I do not participate any self development forum. But I read blog regular on self development. I think in forums you will find spammers those try to provide fake information. That's why I think it is better to read blog rather than participating on forums. There are few blogs providing high quality content on Self-development.
