Learning Something From Everything

How often do you take lessons from the moment?

With a quieter mind I have been able to do so more consistently, although it's a continual challenge. It can be difficult to extract a lesson from a traumatic experience, or one which you perceive to be negative. With time and mental discipline it becomes easier to extract the seed of benefit from each moment.

How about you?

I tend to overreact first, then calm down and think things through more carefully. A surge of panic nearly always happens first. Once that panic subsides, I can think more rationally. I also remind myself by knowing that the situation is temporary and that there is a lesson inherent in it. Most of all, I simply remember that in the greater scheme of things, everything that happens does so for a reason.

I like the idea of being able to think more clearly when your mind is quiet. I am currently trying to live more in the moment

I force myself to calm down. Nothing will be achieved through acting on your impulses except creating bad memories.

I try to be 100% aware in every moment. If I did't learned a lesson in this moment, no regrets. There will be millions of moments to come.
