How to Stick to Goal Achieving Activities

For me, I

1 - Hold my vision throughout the day. I wallpaper it and keep tabs open with images of some of my goals. This attracts goal oriented tasks.

2 - Take frequent breaks. Keeps the mind fresh, calm and focused.

3 - Listen to music. Music can put you in a high vibe or a peaceful vibe, both of which foster creativity which can lead to goal achieving activities.

4 - Exercise. By running and lifting weights I feel better. The better I feel, the more I engage in goal achieving activities.

5 - Make "Busy Work" a dirty word. Nothing dishonors God more than the phrase "Busy Work" or "Keeping Busy." You are wasting your body when your goal is to keep busy, and dying more each day instead of living more each day.

How do you stick to goal achieving tasks?

    Hey There Ryan!

    Jersey Pride!

One thing that works amazing for me is to get out a whiteboard every morning and right down an action plan. I try and break everything up into very small actionable steps, which helps me actually get things done. When you have very broad actions, its easier to lose focus and get nothing done, but when you break steps down into very small actionable steps, its easy to stay on track and pound through your work.

I will also add that I have a set list of things I do every single day so my first order of business is to pound out those things, then onto the actions on my whiteboard.

I can honestly say that since taking up this practice, my productivity has skyrocketed and my business has thus soared. Its amazing how little tiny habits like this can make huge differences on your bottom line.

If every action you take, takes you one step closer to your goal, you will inevitably reach your goal!

    Best, Ken

Hey Ken! Soggy one out there today.

Great actionable tip. By breaking every task down into manageable steps you create order, and an orderly mind is an effective mind.

    Thanks for sharing buddy.

    Hi Guys,

The best thing ever for me was a notepad which is a special "To Do" pad that has a tick box on the left - the idea is you list everything and feel good about yourself as you tick things off one by one!

    Try it works!

The key is not the to do list it is the feedback. I tied many methods and ultimately developed my own and trust me the key is a feedback loop to make sure you are taking action that is impactful on your goals.

Taking down list of the possible task to work for today and making sure that I am on the right track and seeing accomplishments at the end of the day.

I recently read the book "Happier," by Tal Ben-Shahar. He points out the importance and effectiveness of "rituals" which become a part of our lives: coffee at the same restaurant every morning, a walk before work or during the lunch hour (something I always do), or Kenster's whiteboard. These rituals give unconscious routine to keep us in a "frame" of happiness and effectiveness throughout the day. When 60% of your day is "right on track," the 40% that life unexpectedly throws at you is less likely to rob you of motivation.

Music is the chewing gum for the brain, listen to instructional videos and motivating material. I suggest Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar to name a few.

I also make a list but your idea is nice about scoring yourself. With the help of scoring we can check our progress.

All excellent tips. I think exercise is underrated and a lot of people just refuse to accept how much of a difference it can really make. Same for music.
