Does the law of attraction really works?

I read about the law of attraction "the secret", and eventually also watch the movie.

Before I used to think negatively and brings also negative results. But since I learn about the law of attraction I tried to follow what iv'e read and saw and have always come up even if it's not much of a satisfactory result but more better than the previous experiences that I had. Do you think Law of attraction is starting to work on me?

Nobody can tell you for sure. You'll find people who say it's just coincidence, those who think it definitely works, and those still on the fence.

What really matters is if YOU feel it's working. If changing you thinking is bringing positive results into your life, then carry on what you're doing and don't worry what other people think about it.

Yes it really does but one should know exactly what they wish to attract. The universe is mighty big especially when we compare it to our Mother Earth

      Know your frequency......

Jason, The Secret only focuses on one part of the law of attraction - the 'thinking' part. There are many parts that make up the LoA.

For you to be able to use it at will, you need to use all the parts. Try reading 'Working With The Law' by Raymond Holliwell - it lays out all the 'laws within the law'.

How do you make a "Linkback"? I know most of you will think I should know that already but I really don't. I don't always know how but I very rarely don't know WHY because, except in this case, I don't much care how!!

Please tell me how to Linkback to a recent thread that asks the same question only the Title is: Does Think And Grow Rich Work?

YES, the law of attraction works but that's not what it's called. Those are fancy marketing words proven to sell books, seminars and make boatloads of money on people who don't read the Bible or the Book of Mormon or any such Bible-based books.

First and foremost you have to know how to THINK first, not listen. THINK

Everything starts with the truth or some form of the truth. Even if you don't believe in the Bible or think it's really the Truth, "the law of attraction" is based on the principals and laws in the Bible so of course they work.

The difference is people relate to what they understand and how many people can sit down and read the Bible and understand what they just read? Read the versus over and over again and still, most people don't understand it.

The Bible is translated into versions for different groups. The Law of Attraction cannot claim to be a Bible translation without opening a can of worms. That won't result in the sales volume they want, so they simply emulate the Truth using words that sell.

The FREE to download "Make your words sell" is the most successful, most downloaded IM book of all time. Gee, I wonder why? Ken Evoy has a spotless reputation and has been the #1 Top Marketing Guru leaps and bounds ahead of the not-so-good "Gurus" that make up the rest of the list which should be called "Wanna-be top marketers listed after #1" because there is only ONE on that list.

The Truth is always FREE because you can't buy it. You have to find it through the use of your own mind and what you believe. The Truth is what you believe. Make sure you believe the Truth by thinking about why you believe what you think.

What you THINK is what you BELIEVE and what you believe is the TRUTH. Listening to people is dangerous because nobody except professional criminals lie. Everyone else is telling the truth and that's why everyone can be so sincere, and why so many people believe what they're told.

You tell yourself nobody can lie that well and doubt makes you think about whether you're wrong. You start to think about what you heard and that's how your mind gets changed into believing something else is the Truth.

Changing your mind changes your life and that can be very dangerous and costly. When you tell someone to tell you "the Truth" and look them straight in eye and say don't lie to me, they look straight back at you and tell you what they believe. That is the truth only if you believe what they believe.

This is Critical: Listen to your sixth sense. It's always right. If you don't believe what someone says, that doesn't mean you're calling them a liar. It doesn't mean anyone is wrong. It simply means you don't have much in common with that person. You can help them by explaining why you don't believe what they just said...you can let it go and ignore what they tell you or just move on. Whatever you do, don't go against your sixth sense or your gut feeling. It's always right.

Want proof? Ask anyone over 75, the older the better and LISTEN to the voice of experience, then make up your own mind. That is your god-given right. Exercise your right to think and believe whatever you want. The trick is finding a group of people who believe the same as you. Why waste time trying to change other people's minds? Why change your own mind if you don't want to? Go with the flow and have fun with yourself too!!

Why do some people have a problem with those who have made a living from teaching the LoA?

When I was in my teens, I wanted to learn Italian - I paid a tutor to teach me the language. When I wanted to learn to drive, I bought driving lessons. The Italian teacher didn't invent the language; my driving instructor didn't invent driving. No-one ever talks them down for what they do. Why should it be so for LoA 'gurus'? What's the difference?

Yes, there are free ways to learn about it (Italian/driving/LoA), but why waste valuable time trying to piece it all together yourself when for a few dollars you can be taught by someone else.

That's not the problem. If they would just straight up teach it the first time. The gangster who said "Don't let words be the reason we miss our understanding." was clear the first time because he made sure you understood everything.

These gurus are out to milk the public way more than they allow in the hood! Gurus use words to make sure there is a reason to release yet another version of the same thing.

The "attraction" means we congregate among those who believe the same things we do - or fights break out. Be careful what you do because whatever you do proves what you believe no matter what your tears say. What you believe is what you "live and learn"...and that comes from either listening or thinking.

It boils down to something so simple that most people forget it: If it feels good, do it. If it doesn't feel good, don't do it.

In other words, if thinking positive/visualizing, etc makes you feel good and brings about better results than NOT doing it, then keep doing it.

If you really want to know whether the LOA works, start reading some books on quantum physics. Quantum science has now proven that every thought you think has a direct impact not only on your life but on the rest of the world. These are not theories, it's proven in laboratories, using subatomic particles.

The best, simplest and most awe-inspiring read I've found on the subject is in a book called "The spirituality of success". Amazing book whether you're a LOA novice or expert.

Since you've read these books, on quantum physics, please cite the footnotes pointing to papers in peer reviewed scientific journals backing up your claims that your that thoughts have "a direct impact not only on your life but on the rest of the world" when science says your thoughts barely have enough energy to leave your skull:

"The brain does produce electrical activity from the ion currents flowing among neurons during synaptic transmission, and in accordance with Maxwell's equations any electric current produces a magnetic field. But as neuroscientist Russell A. Poldrack of the University of California, Los Angeles, explained to me, these fields are minuscule and can be measured only by using an extremely sensitive superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) in a room heavily shielded against outside magnetic sources. Plus, remember the inverse square law: the intensity of an energy wave radiating from a source is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from that source. An object twice as far away from the source of energy as another object of the same size receives only one-fourth the energy that the closer object receives. The brain's magnetic field of 10-15 tesla quickly dissipates from the skull and is promptly swamped by other magnetic sources, not to mention the earth's magnetic field of 10-5 tesla, which overpowers it by 10 orders of magnitude!" ~ Scientific American; Jun2007, Vol. 296 Issue 6, p39-39:

I don't have the footnotes for you, and I don't have hours to spare to go chase it down. However, the short of it is that these new discoveries show that there is more energy in one cubic inch of EMPTY SPACE than in the whole physical universe.

As you know, most "proven" scientific theories have consistently been proven wrong by progress in science, and it is no different with what we're talking about here. If it really matters a lot to you, go to this page, and read what David Bohm has to say about it, and from there you can chase down experient footnotes/titles in google: Every cubic centimeter of empty space

Oh, and let's not forget what this thread is really about - the law of attraction. In other words, I don't want you and I to crash this thread any further with this discussion. You are free to PM me if you'd like to discuss this further.

Your statement has nothing to do with quantum physics showing how your thoughts can influence anything at a subatomic level.

My statement (above) shows our thought waves are so weak they barely escape our skulls. Yet you're PIKING our thoughts have the energy to influence anything we want (at a subatomic level) anywhere in the world.

If you read about the experiments (not just one) you would see that it is directly connected to it - that your thought's energy far outweighs the energy of matter itself (not electricity - energy), and from there it goes into how this relates to your thoughts influence.

But here's the bottom line: If you don't do anything in life (like thinking consistently positive, visualization, etc) unless you have scientific proof that it works first, you're missing the point. I read about these experiments years after I discovered for myself how much of an impact my thought have on mine - and other people's reality. Call it the law of attraction, or call it the subconscious - it doesn't matter, because if your dominating thoughs (conscious and subconscious) are positive, your dominating life experience will be positive - and vice versa.

The best science lab here is yourself - not some scientist.

[LAUGHING HESTERICALLY!!] What we live and learn is where our thoughts come from and how we process those thoughts determine what we THINK and BELIEVE and we DO what we believe.

Change your mind, change your life begins with what you think and believe. You want to see some quantum power at a sub-zero atomic level just hang around people with the same beliefs.

You had better not even THINK about any attempt to sabotage one of their own. Now, in that case, your thoughts will barely have enough energy to float past the skull...your thoughts won't influence anything.

People who live and die for what they believe do not listen to what someone else tries to tell them. The know better because their belief comes from their own thoughts not the ice cream man or their doctor or even their lawyer. You have to change what that person thinks over time and work it real slow if you want to change their minds.

This is where they trip people up and tell them if only they would believe it they could achieve it. That is true but they take it out of context so it means something else. What you believe empowers you, nothing else, just you. Your belief in yourself gets you up in the morning and keeps you going month and month.

It doesn't matter what product you buy - you want to believe it works and you hope it does so you can tell others about it. Whether you believe that product, any product works or not doesn't change a thing. That's just stupid to think you can "will" a product to work - how dumb is that?

Your thoughts and what you think and believe changes your life in other ways like whether you'll end up in jail or prison. What kind of job you get. You might end up a thief if you're not careful. It happens one way or the other depending who your friends are and who you listen to.

You surely must do, so I'll carry on.

As your thoughts impact your life, you in turn impact on your environment to some degree.

If you are working in 'super natural' ways any way then I believe that the Law of attraction is a 'sub department' of the Law of Karma. Now I dont think Karma is something religios or spooky. In a book Im writing about psychology I make it very clear that Karma is something that goes on INSIDE ourselves, between the conscious and the unconscious part of the mind and thus is common psychology. (long story)

You can sit down in a chair visualizing money and success rolling in all your life - nothing will happen if you dont ACT!

The closest I have seen to something that really looks like attraction is when monks have been meditation in a monestry for 10 to 15 years and they go back to live a normal life. Then it is not uncommon to see that they actually get success!

So practice the Law of Attraction 12 hours daily 10 years from now and then act!

But remember - The law of Karma is the greater. What you do to others your subconscious mind will make sure happens to you - and you cant control it unless you parctice for 10-15 years! The unconscious levels of attraction works first! Make them conscious to control them.

And ome more thing... Creativity starts BEYOND thought. Thought is a direct result of THE core creative proscess that is inside all of us and is the basics of everything going on in our lives - including ACTION!

Just my view and I could be wrong...

You get what you ask for in life. The Universe is a big friggin restaurant and you have unlimited money in your pocket.

You can sit there with a coffee.
      You can buy a hamburger.
      You can buy two hamburgers.
You can buy one hamburger for you, one for your friend, then eat your friend's hamburger.
You can buy a steak and expensive wine.
You can buy everyone steak and expensive wine.
You can leave the restaurant because you don't like your waiter (your BOSS!)
You can stay at the bar for 10 hours.

Yeah, the law of attraction works. Just ask what you want and don't be afraid or shy. The universe will give it to you, but you will have to work EXTRA hard if it is a big goal.

I use the Law of Attraction everyday. Does it mean that everything goes my way, not always, but it does help to stay focused and stay on track. It also gives you energy to be positive. Most people love being around positive upbeat people.

      Good point.
LOA is great, expecially at the subatomic level. But Heisenberg's whole ideology regarding his principle was clear: While we affect the outcome by our mere observance of it, in the same way we can't possible know what that effect will be.
Stick with Integrity: Be Who You Are. From there, let your Vision flow. And from there, let your goals and purposes (naturally out-) flow.

There are a TON of opinions on this forum about this...

The questions is...how many of the people giving these opinions are REALLY rich?

I have a mentor who grew up dirt poor. He's over 60 now and worth more than $100 million. I interviewed him a while back. The transcript is on my blog...

Law of Attraction Success Story – How a Poor Man Built a $100 Million Net Worth | VQ Success

I think the problem is that most people teaching it have either become successful BY teaching it, or are trying to become successful by teaching it. They leave out half the stuff Larry and I talked about....I think you'll see why when you read this interview.
