Give up on Your Dreams......

No matter where you go no matter what you do there always be somebody telling you to give up on your dreams.

Whether it's a close friend worried that you're going down the wrong path or someone completely jealous that you're going down the right one only you will truly know the real value in what you're pursuing.

Never let anybody tell you whether or not you should give up on your dreams.

    I agree with you 100%.

I don't know if you post from experience, but I find it very difficult working on-line as no-one close to me knows or understands what I am doing.

I have never had any support from family or friends in pursuing my career on-line. I am alone, apart from the friends that I have made on-line, most of whom I will never meet face to face (apart from using the vid cam).

That is not to say my family and friends are bad or uncaring, but they simply don't comprehend, or wish to understand. I am however, well used to this now.

    Just my thoughts,
    Jeff.

I never understood the trend of characterizing yourself for your business image.

      Jeff.
Same goes here, Jeff. Most of the people, be it family or friends, simply won't understand the head or tail of what we do online. More I try to explain, more confused them become, and harder my life. Most of the times, I just give some trivia about the online business to quench their curiosity, or tell them less and less, or nothing.

Thankfully, our immediate family shows their faith in our ability to succeed, even when they do not understand it at all. That way we should show our gratitude to them.

    Yeah, we've all been there.
I just wave as I fly the small plane I just rented above the factory that they work at.

"Regular Job" talk like that just makes me want it even more. So keep it coming!

I know exactly what you mean, I have so many friends who have that "job" mentality and this is all they can think about - drawing a measly salary every month and considering that job "safe" and "secure".

You might as well be talking to a wall when encountering people like that, as they'll never see things your way and will most likely discourage you from any kind of entrepreneurial activity, whether online or offline. I have learned that it is far better to keep my mouth shut and not talk about what I do with these people, as nothing good or constructive will ever come out of a conversation with them!

There is no right path in life. Why keep your mouth shut my mouth open and tell them you're happy for them hope they enjoy what they do. we still need the people to build their cars to take utter trash into cleaner our houses.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post. I said that I keep my mouth shut regarding my entrepreneurial passions, I'm more than happy to talk to them about anything and everything else! I wasn't implying that I was acting in an unfriendly manner towards them.

That's a good message! Some people say that I should give up my dreams but its like an adrenaline to me that I need to strive harder to reach my dreams.

I still remember when I had this dream to own a Bicycle when I was very young. My cousins told me you're too you to ride one. My friends laughed at me that I didn't have one. My parents told me you have to earn to own one. But still I always imagined myself riding one, every night I went to bed.

And when I had one, it boost my confidence, and then on, the graph of my confidence always inclined as and when I accomplished my dreams.

    Agreed - Never Give Up...

Dreams are another term for outcome goals. They are very personal to each and everyone of us. However, one of the strategies that I teach to my athletes and people in business is to share these goals with loved ones or significant others. The reason is simple....motivation, it motivates you to drive on towards success because that person is aware of everything that you are doing, but it also helps them to socially support you which generates even more motivation.

We all now that goals and motivation are very closely linked in a 360 degree way.

Go now and explain to them what you are doing and how it works and why you are doing it.

Dreams are often difficult to make real but ultimately it comes down to the work that you put into it.
Don't bother with what other people say, they don't know how you feel or what you are putting into your work or even what inspires you.
Achieving your dreams is about you, not the people around you!

It is funny how people look down on you, even express their disappointment, when they do not understand. And then, when they see money, they don't even care that they don't understand. It's no longer important. It's human nature.
