About to join the boat with you, THis month I made my first clickbank check which took me over 8 months to reach threshold. Getting trickles of traffic But i believe that persistent work can increase that traffic and ultimately make more sales

Good luck, Drudge! Taking action is the most important step of all, and unfortunately it is something that over 90% of IMers fail to do. I wish you all the best in taking MASSIVE action, i.e. 80% of your time is spent on action, and only 20% on learning and/or fooling around in the Warrior Forum!

Learn to treat the internet marketing business the way you would treat ANY business and you'll be good.

Many people get this wrong in my opinion, if you sell shoes you wouldn't look for a magic bullet, but in internet marketing everybody needs gurus and magic bullets, that's why the most fail.

Be aware that the right mindset is what defines 99% of your future in any business, a lot of people focus on making money and following their optimism, but forget the mental side of entrepreneurship.

Just ask people that trade stocks for a living. 99% of all people fail because they lack the mindset, the psychogolocial side to the business.

Be aware that you'll have hard times when results don't happen or where you'll think about your skills, or where you'll even loose money or get your ass bombarded with complaints etc.

In those moments your greatness will be defined ;-)

I've been reading about IM for a year or so, been present on several forums (more like stalking really..). I've bought ebooks, downloaded them, read books in the library, watched videos listened to audios and have know enough "secrets" to put the illuminatti to shame. But they are not really secrets. There is no magical formula (that a guru is willing to share) that will bring you a huge fortune in a day - unless you are gifted in something and spend months preparing for your launch day in which you make 20 million in 24 hrs (frank kern). But for the majority of us, its basic hard work - and maybe who knows you'll one day find that eureka moment and hit a gold mine.

So if you are one of those forum stalkers that have never taken action, or are just starting out, i've recently launched my blog (www herofromzero net) and will be updating it with my current project, ebooks, and random tricks i've learned over the years. My current experiment is with YouTube and it's traffic jam.

it's true, a lot of people think the internet is the easy answer to the daily work in the office dilemma. It isn't.
My intent is to treat this just as a part time job, with set daily goals and agenda (juggling school aswell), and paulie888, you're right, most of the time should be spent working, but only visiting forums as your "coffee break"
Dviau17 - i made my first cheque a while back, but it was such a fluke, and the method doesn't work as well anymore. I like your sig btw

There are Secrets to IM success but really only one

You have a choice

1) Create a product, Hype the hell out of it, You HAVE to JV with some gurus that want more money, Sell it and getthe new guys to buy it :-) make loads of money

or

2) read every piece of FREE information you can, warrior forum, blogs, training course that are free, Every thing that google gives you for fee such as webmaster guides, digest, read more, digest, build a site test it grow it slowly, nuture it. Build more. keep going. 1/2 per day minumim.

Oh and dont give up the day job until your income exceeds your salary or better still start to outsource the standard parts once youve reached this level. keep working on both until the day job income is no longer needed.

Congratulations dude but the truth is that every real guru has got a secret formula that they may never share with you unless you are totally under his or her tutelage. The gurus call the secret or magical formula, as you said, TRADE SECRET.

Every business or trade under the sun has a trade secret. And until you discover the trade secret, you may never know success.

For my own sanity I've redefined success as: Picking yourself up and starting over again if necessary. Failure: you stop trying.

Completely agree! I've heard a wealthy businessman say that he really got rich when he stopped paying attention to how much he was making. The point being if you have a mindset that you will succeed then you will get there.
