Good post. I like Wayne Dyer a lot and I have seen him speak live in Toronto. Marketers can learn a lot from him as he just CRANKS out content. Check out all the books he has written and they ALL sell well.

There is a DVD by Louise Hay called You Can Heal Your Life which is also very interesting and includes these speakers.

If the mind could heal any disease then why have most Dalai Lamas died from them?

Why has prayer proven, in a number of studies, to have absolutely no affect on patient recovery?

Do you know what the prayers of the Dalai Lamas were at that time? Were they praying for healing of their body or for an adventure into another realm?

This comes back to the same question. The person who is afflicted with the illness must be the one with the desire, faith, and be choosing healing. Do you believe when God looks at us God sees our physical body as the important component, or the being who is using the body?

Are prayers sure to heal anyone? I have no idea, but I do know this. I would rather pray for a healed spirit and live a life filled with hope, belief, faith, and happiness, than believe there is no power at work in eternity than randomness itself.

Really,that was a nice interview! A mind in itself can make a heaven out of hell & vice-versa. Ive always belived that,changes begins with changing our thoughts...
Positive thinking combined with feelings of gratefulness can definitely help us "heal" & get out depression.

Excellent point pethanks, and one not to be forgotten or dismissed.

Of course, God has surely given us many tools to keep ourselves healthy, just as he gave us the brains to invent soap to keep ourselves clean. He has a habit of demonstrating that He loves when we take part in His will. That's one of the main reasons He wants us to pray: to be involved in what He's going to bring about anyhow.

You might also want to try reading the books of Dr. John Sarno:

The Mind Body Connection
Healing Back Pain

He goes one step beyond simply healing yourself and suggests that most physical ailments come from not dealing with mental ones (traumatic experience, stressful situation, etc).
