In a summary, you may miss a life-time opportunity if you don't act on it NOW because the future starts NOW!

well its not as adrenal rushing like acting now or doing some thing now. but its more about being aware of the present moment and accept it as it is and do not fight with it, which is cause of all miseries.

        Yes!

If you're constantly unhappy with your current situation, you'll never get the abundance mindset that will allow you to see everything and everyone as an opportunity.

I know by experience that a limiting mindset will always result in failure in the long run... Once you figure out that the world is full of opportunities, you'll really start to attract and accept winning conditions into your life.

One day, I asked a guy that was picking cans out of recycling bins how much he did per day. He told me that he was making 50 bucks a day, tax free, everyday and that he worked only 3 hours a day! If you do the math, that's about 20 bucks per hour!

This world is full of amazing opportunities, if you constantly live in the future and you're constantly worrying and complaining about your current situation, you'll fail to notice the opportunities that get presented to you every minute...

Living in the present moment is an important and valuable principle, and it's sad that this book is such a boring treatment of this principle.
In Richard Carlson's Don't Sweat the Small Stuff (and it's all small stuff), he addresses "living in the now" several times; all good treatments, and only two pages long.
The basis of effective meditation technique (like simple breathing, counting breaths to stay focused only on that one activity) is also its "now-ness." And it can be done anywhere, in almost any activity, as long as distractions are avoided. Example: I was mowing the lawn last week, real drudgery after the first half-hour. So instead of thinking about the drudgery, I started counting my steps. That act of counting, meaninglessly, put me into the "now," and before I knew it, the lawn was done, and my mind was relaxed and at peace. Try it.

Really this could bring out such a transformation in our lives, living in the present moment. I wonder if our holy books say some thing on it. lets say what bible says about present moment living?

Living in the present moment is very important, it helps to stay peaceful and not get worried too much in thinking about the future.

This book is awesome. It's basically an expansion of mind clearing exercises and why clearing your mind of all thought (as often as possible) will lead to greater happiness.

All of our worries and fears stem from either thinking about the future or fretting about the past. If you strip the future and past from your mind then, right now, there is no worry.

There you are. I've summed the entire book up in two very short paragraphs!

The only time you have power over is the now. That's why it is so important to be present in the now ( not being/thinking about the past or future)
If you are in the moment now you can create in your life

I took this from it. If you act in the present moment, the "Now", you will always be on task, focused on your goal and increase your momentum towards it which will yield too many benefits to mention here... Bottom line is, if you do not act Now you'll Not progress to anything and even go backwards. There is no neutral, only forward and backwards.

Why we wait for tomorrow if we can do it now. We can't tell what will happen tomorrow.
