One of the things that life is well known for is its ups and downs. It can tend to be full of mysteries. It can tend to keep you in darkness. If care is not taken, if you don't take the necessary precautions the darkness could last for a lifetime.

Some things happen in a flash. Bad and good things happen in the blink of the eyes. Even before you could realize it, the deed would have been done. Bad and good things make impacts. Obviously they make different impacts. Bad things make the worst out of you. They come and go in the speed of the light but they cause the heart a great damage. They leave it wounded.

It's not all the time that you get to choose what you get. It's not all the time that you get to make choices. Sometimes choices make you. Sometimes life chooses and you pay. You could be lucky enough to get something marvelous. But sometimes it's just a different story because it could be a bad choice. You really don't have any option in this game - you still pay

"I don't want it, I don't buy it". But when it comes to life, you buy. That rule just doesn't work. It's not a matter of what you want; it's a matter of what you get. It's not a matter of what you desire; it's a matter of what comes your way. It's not a matter of this is how you want it; it's a matter what life dishes out to you. It's a matter of you don't like what you get; it's a matter of how you make the best out of what you get. And it's definitely not about whether you like it or not because you just have to pay.

The whole thing is like some kind of game. But life seems to know the game better than most people. It knows the rule and it owns the cards. It decides which card goes to whom. Nobody orders anybody on which card to serve. So when you get served the bad cards, what happens next?

Well life is all about making choices, you are end sum of the result of the choices you make in your life.

I never liked the game of Life. I didn't like Monopoly much, either. My preference was always Trivial Pursuit.

As I write this, I am struck by just how ironic that metaphor really is! Anyone else ever feel that way?

I thought at first y'all were going to reference "The Game of Life and How to Play it" by Frances Scovil Shinn. Worst Game Ever was "Mystery Date" in the 60's. Monopoly was OK ... but like you, I loved Trivial Pursuit. There was a bookshelf game called "Break Out" that was awesome ... another good metaphor, methinks.

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes its hard to think that its really a game of life, there are ups and downs, all we need is ACCEPTANCE.

I would say you ask for the cards you want congruently. Align your attitudes and actions with a specific request for the cards you do want. That really is all that can happen next in the game right?

Life really is a game, and it either plays you, are you figure out the way that you want to play it. Each and every moment is a game that you have to make a decision and live with, no matter what cards you are dealt. If you don't try to acquire new ones, or find a different way of asking, I don't see how you will get them however.

I love the quote "This, too, shall pass." - It serves as a reminder to me that no matter how good or bad the cards are, they can pass by doing what's most important to get what you do want.

It starts with vision. That ensures Integrity, which is key.
All the "make a million dollars this year" wishes are just that: wishes.
The goals that spring, spontaneously and inevitably from your true Vision, are the ones that will change your life.
