How to go from the DREAM to the Dream Come TRUE in 5 steps.

Dream.
Desire.
Decide.
Design.
DO.

Or, put it this way:

I wish.
I want.
I will.
I PLAN.
I DO.

OK. Let me pass along some practical and workable advice and tools which have been battled tested in the trenches of life and Internet Marketing.

The DREAM. Your dream comes from the MAP OF POSSIBILITES. Think of a globe. Can you put a big red X on places you don't want to visit, like, for me, the Antarctica. BRRRRRRR.

Put a big green O on places you'd like to see, like Hawaii, Scotland, Japan or Egypt.

MOST of us wish about going/doing/having/being something, someone or some place.

From the Map of Possibility (in IM, it might look like this; CPA, PLR, AutoBlogging, Product Development, Creative Services, etc. etc....just as many IM possibilities as places on a map to visit)...after wishing.

Comes the adding of DESIRE. You turn the wish into a WANT. You can use a tool I developed called the Binary Matrix, where you compare TWO things against each other within several options, to get a clearer view of PRIORITIES. In the above example,

Hawaii vs Scotland.
Scotland vs Japan
Hawaii vs Japan

The Binary Matrix spits out the most "thought" about preference, and you can assign a numerical value to it, so Hawaii might come out on top. Then you

DECIDE to turn your want into reality.

So from the Map of Possibility you've put wishes (possibilities) into a Binary Matrix and came out with a preference, a high ranking DESIRE and then you decide to get what you want.

The wish has become desire.

NOW, you DESIGN. My students use a tool called the Pyramid of Accomplishment, which shows a visual image of a triangle (pyramid) which represents both TIME and the steps it takes to reach the top. This is a PLAN.

I've found over the years that most FAILURE comes from a lack of an executable plan. You see it every day here at the WF, frustration and despair from people who jumped into IM and are now lost, poor or have spent a large amout of time...

trying to

FOLLOW SOMEONE ELSE'S PLAN.

And the thing I've learned is, a person will stick to a PERSONAL PLAN, one which he makes up and takes into consideration his "real" amount of time and any other hurdles he must jump to make it happen.

When a person uses the Pyramid Of Action (Accomplishment) they can clearly see the steps, know what obstacles may be coming and work through any unforeseen problems.

Once they have the PLAN. Then they pull the trigger and DO.

BUT, here is a catch.

IF they are NOT held accountable by someone else, they will have a tendency to slack off and cheat and chase after other "sparkly, shiny" projects which appear to have a better answer for them (seldom if never does, just wastes more time).

This is the basis of my coaching program, and you can profit from using these 5 steps, however you want to call or name them and then finding someone, maybe in a Master Mind group here at WF or a friend, or someone...who is rooting for you to succeed...

to hold you accountable. I think it is the missing ingredient in so many frustrated Warrior's life.

Every day I see a LACK of PLANNING.
A lack of accountability.
A lackluster execution.
Frustration and despair.

Start with a good DREAM. The get to the DO and cross off the time on the steps to the top and before you know it (because TIME and the Internet wait for NO man or woman)...you'll be at the top of the Pyramid and those on the ground will wonder what your secret is.

The secret? You just walked up the steps one by one, not a piece of cake, but DOABLE.

The 5 D's. USE them. See the benefits.

I like the step by step process. It creates order in the mind, and since order is heaven's first law you know how things will turn out using the method

      and ADJUSTMENT.

The most pefected of plans will have obstacles. There are 7 EXITS along the path, these are QUITTING points.

First is the person who says "I want to ________". Takes another look, sees too much work, and quits. Never really starts.

Second is the "just do it" type, jump in, for example, join Amway or MLM or Network type marketing then comes home tells his wife, she is furious, he quits. #2 gets off to an IMPULSIVE start. Like many IMers we see here at WF.

Third exit, the guy gets started, flounders, sees something "shiny, sparkly" over there, jumps the fence and squishes more cow pies between his toes.

Fourth exit, this person wants to quit, but doesn't want to be embarassed about it, so he just slowly fades away from the scene hoping no one notices he has quit, (again, again and again).

Fifth exit, the HALFWAY mark. A person is halfway to his goal (time wise) but he looks back and sees how much work he had to do to get to this point, wrongly thinks there is that much more to go, just doesn't have the energy for it...Quits.

Sixth exit. This person has determination, just plain old grinding power. He gets up high, can see the roof top, but forgets WHY he is making the effort, he can see the GOAL isn't what he thought it was, he feels he wasted his time chasing a "pipe dream".

Exit 7th. We know this guy. He stops a few feet from the goal. Perhaps he is afraid of success, just can't put the ball over the line. He's close, maybe closer than he realizes but he has just run out of juice, doesn't have what it takes to finish the deal.

OF course, the Winner is the one who reaches his goal on time, on schedule, he completed each step...

MADE ADJUSTMENTS as things came up (and something ALWAYS comes up)

And continued on his journey knowing the goal is only a brief rest stop along the path to his final destination. He celebrates the victory, but sees another goal down the road and he happily and merrily pursues it while being IN THE MOMENT and enjoying and appreciating what he has already achieved, even if, it has only been his survival to this point.
