Do You Celebrate Disasters?

I just uploaded a youtube video encouraging you to celebrate disasters.

Why?

When it looks like nothing is working, Everything is working. Appearances might suggest everything is falling apart but the universe is bringing together your vision in a spectacular background.

Your feelings will lie to you (i.e. appearances of things falling apart, causing you to be defeated and devastated) but you must get through these feelings if you are to reach the goal.

Break Down / Build Up is how the universe works and we are not immune from these universal laws.

So whatcha think?

Definitely agree, Ryan. This is something I learned from retrospect: Every time you crumble, you lay a stronger and stronger foundation. Thanks for the reminder.

    Thanks for your insight Jonathan.

We fear advancing because on a subconscious level I feel we know the Break Down is coming. By embracing the change it's easier to roll with it. Know what's on the way but more importantly focusing on the Build Up.

I read a book recently on finding your way to light through depression. The idea is even you feel awful and face trouble by trouble that's also the way out so that you can be kinda reborn. So there's no need to be afraid of all the bad that happens to you.

I believe depression and all those mishaps help grow. And new life can bring anything.

      Hi Andy,

I suffered through prolonged periods of depression when younger. Now I've penned over 1000 inspirational quotes, have uploaded 560 video to youtube (and counting) and run a rocking self-help/network marketing blog.

Those who travel through the darkest nights are meant to shine brightest for others.

Thanks for sharing and have a powerful day!

Just felt I'd toss a little comment out there for the worry.

I'm not going to be very long as I could write a book on this.

But I can say sadly, disasters are going to happen, however there is nothing we can do about it afterwards.

4 years ago, I wouldn't have seen that in the same light. I was a very misunderstood child with an extremely low self-esteem and no confidence in who I was as a person whatsoever.

And to cut a long story short, only because I don't want to go to deep into my life story, sadly I have lost 3 people in the last 3 years.

I have lost my brother Lee (3 years ago to cancer), my brother Jonathan (only 2 days after my graduation in 2008), and my aunt Theresa (only 1 month ago to natural causes).

And from this... I can say that I have grown.

I won't say that I have celebrated these events, but I have grown into the man that I am now, at only 21 years old I have already dealt with more than many adults much older than myself have dealt with in their entire life... Of course there is much much more to my story and I keep going on and on.. but in conclusion:

Disaster can bring growth... however horrible the disaster, you should never give up. Allow the change to make you a better person and grow from it.

Sorry to be so personal on this. Thank you for posting this thread... a lot.

    Sincerely,
    Justin Lewis

I really needed to hear this going through that moment now, just in my mind. I feel a lot better

I wouldn't call them disasters... but I've enjoyed all my failures (on the hindsight, that is).

Every time I "failed", I didn't actually fail... I just found something that won't work. As I see it, that brings me one step closer to the thing that works.
