Sleeping's Sciences - Save Time While Not Sleeping

Hello Warriors,

It's now 2:23AM and I can't sleep because I found a lots of interesting articles online about how to sleep better, how to sleep less, etc...

Why am I interested to this subject? Mainly because, since I'm very young, I always thought that sleeping was a loss of time (I sleep 8 to 10 hours per day) even if I really enjoy sleeping. But, my main problem is definitely that I have so much difficulty to get asleep : It takes me 30 to 5 hours to sleep even if I'm tired : I think and I'm thinking too much

The main subject that grabbed my attention was polyphasic sleeping : You sleep approx 2 hours a day by taking multiples naps of 20 minutes every 4 hours. Can you imagin being able to work 18 hours a day without being tire? Do you imagin having the time to do whatever you like? Of course, there is a few bad points of this technique like you feel alone by not sleeping like everyone else a the right time. But, as far as now, I never seen people having health issues while they where using this technique.

What do you think about this? Do you know similar techniques? Do you know ways I could sleep less, sleep easily or get asleep faster?

If it takes you 5 hours to fall asleep, you need to learn to quiet the mind.

Look into different types of meditation. Flame meditations are easy to start with and typically don't involve any religious shenanigans. Of course diet and exercise affect everything.

Sleeping for a minimum of 5-6 hours a day (at a stretch) is always a healthy habit. Your suggestion to take nap of 20 minutes every four hours will not give you any relaxation. Your body and mind need rest for the minimum hours specified and if you deny that, you will land up in problems. Why don't you try yoga or meditation to get good sleep quickly? Your post shows that you are restless and thinking too much, and don't forget, you will get tired soon and go cranky. Try and develop some good sleeping pattern.
