Understanding adversity

Happy hump day Warriors... I'm at my JOB and I'm sitting here thinking about my future goals and how I plan to achieve them. I was looking through some of the posts earlier and one thing that comes to mind is why do we encounter adversity and how to deal with it.

Adversity is something that cannot be avoided. There will be moments in your life that will leave you feeling as if you want to give up. There will be moments that you will question why are you going through these horrific times. You will doubt yourself and feel that you aren't good enough.

Adversity although considered bad is really something that you should praise. Adversity is a spark that can lead to your enlightenment. It can cause you to dig a little deeper, try a little harder, and focus a little closer. It is that inner voice that is trying to push you over the edge and force you to stretch beyond your comfort zone.

Adversity happens for no apparent reason. As long as your are breathing, YOU WILL always have troubles to deal with, loved ones that pass, and dreams that seem unreachable. How you deal with it is what determines if you are going to be a part of the few elite. Are you going to pack your bags and walk away after every set back? Are you going to give in to the negative comments that surround you on a daily basis? Will you begin to feel as if you aren't cut out to achieve anything in life?

The only person that can hold you back is you. You are the captain of your own ship. It is you that controls how much success you achieve in life. If you want more in life, give more. You reap what you sow. As far as dwelling on why we go through adversity always remember this.

In order to get to IT, you have to go through IT. There is a door in front of you. Everything you want in life is on the other side of that door. Will you take action by opening the door and walking through? The next time adversity comes knocking on your door, open up and walk on in. Your success may be closer than you think. See you at the top!

I agree sometimes in order to achieve something your back has to be up against a wall and the only way out is through it. It’s a bad place to be at the time but afterwards you feel great that you had the courage and determination to succeed.
