We've all been there... and some of us are still there. We don't know the breakthrough is coming, but we are in the midst of our lowest moments, unbeknownst to us that the best is still yet to come.

It's hard to imagine happiness, to envision it, to feel it, while we are still in the middle of our affliction.

Though, our breakthrough moment looms, sure enough like the sun will rise the next morning, sure enough like our lungs will remember to breathe, we can't predict it.

My breakthrough moment was when I was 18. I had no friends, just barely finished high school, and the girl of my dreams broke my heart into a million pieces. For 6 months I didn't know what to do, and even contemplated taking my own life. That time period defined me and made me who I am today, but it wasn't until I let some words sink into me. "You're in control"
One day, I just let them sink in to the core of my being, and I have never looked back.

I guess my question is, what was your breakthrough moment? What turned on the light bulb in your head....

I guess there have been several breakthrough moments. As I get older, I am always learning and improving and getting to like myself even more! It took me a while to accept myself, but now, 5 decades later, I am very confident!

Mine has to be meeting my wife. I’ve been married before and in different relationships, but it wasn’t until I met her that I realized what it was to be truly loved and to really love someone completely. It makes everything else so much easier and nicer to have someone special to share it with.

dark times are warrior makers.... I'm glad I was worse than broke starting 4 years ago, I too was afraid, but something inside and my belief in God kept me pressing on....

going through all the hardships are essential in character building and I guess this way you know you will never again take things for granted....

Mine was after attending Anthony Robbin's UPW in my country, Malaysia, in the year of 2003.

It was a huge breakthrough! I adopted what he mentioned, what he taught, what he preached, to this day.

Never wanna go back to "those days" and only keep doing better and better.

Help others as much as I can, that's my motto now.

Well, it's good when the time is there, for a breakthrough moment, no matter how long it takes, it sure does worth it.

I was a 51 years old female in a south american country, totally poor after raising five kids...and I had a dream. It was clear as day: me, sitting at a table covered by books...in an American University! Waking up I realized that was only a dream, but the feeling of complete happiness had in that dream didn't left me for a week. So, slowly I began asking questions, landed in the US consulate's information office; discovered a career that I loved, and began applying to get a PhD. Did the GRE, did the TOEFL, and received approval letters from 3 universities. Finally, someone at Syracuse U. offered me a complete scholarship. I landed in upstate NY in the middle of a snow storm, feeling free as a bird and with a future! never looked back, graduate in three years and now I keep working here. My dream provided me with the mental map to follow, my heart with the courage to step up and follow.

    When I realized...
"Hey, this car just talked to me."

I realized anything is possible. Anything you dream up and make real. Even talking cars.

After reading THE GAME OF LIFE AND HOW TO PLAY IT, by Florence Scovel Shinn. I was written about 75 years ago, and is as relevant now as it was then.

We are our own puppet masters, pulling our own strings. Out of our own imaginings come the conditions of our lives.

Wow, I can totally relate to your high school story - with your girlfriend breaking your heart... You're not alone buddy.

I believe that EVERYONE has a "Breakthrough Moment" AT LEAST once a YEAR - for the rest of their LIVES!!

BILLIONS of people, including myself, & have breakthrough moments EVERY SINGLE DAY!

It's just an idea, a thought... that changes the way you see life.

You get one EVERY TIME you read a new paragraph in a "self help" book (whatever that is anyway lol)...

EVERY TIME you read a new thread post! Even if you've already heard it before - reminding yourself of the fact will still cause a breakthrough moment (in my opinion)...

Workshops, Facebook, Tweets, Quotes, Random Events that happen to you when you're out & about (synchronism/signs)...

They all cause a change in your perception... Which is yet ANOTHER "Breakthrough Moment" in your journey of growth in this Universe.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Hope someone reading it got something good out of it, & I helped you Breakthrough something!

    ~Omar

I haven't been to see Anthony Robbins live, but I guess he's very at empowering individuals. He was a mentor of Joseph McClendon III, who later wrote a book about Unlimited Power, and Anthony Robbins made great contributions in writing the book.
