How many of you are coaching or teaching others?

This sub forum attracks a lot of thoughtful, intelligent people. I know there are a few "life coaches" here, along with myself.

I'm just curious, how many of you share your knowledge of "mind power" with others outside of this forum?

How many have a difficult time with sharing because you get a bunch of cold water negativity or worse yet, holier than thou lectures on the evils of "mind" power?

It is sometimes difficult to find a new thought, read a new book and get excited and enthused about your new knowledge and you want to share it, BUT, those around you are totally UNreceptive to your enthusiasm.

Part of growth is the examining of your relationships and some of the hardest growing you'll ever do is when you cut free from some friends, family and loved ones who just can't ever see you as anything other than the person they knew back when...

THEY can't accept your growth and sometimes, become a toxic force in your life.

You are not alone. It happens to most of us who are serious students of knowledge and understanding.

So, if you are teaching, coaching or simply sharing your knowledge, old or new, I encourage you to be the young pine tree which bends with the harsh winds or criticism and not the OLD big oak tree which may succumb to the winds.

Thanks for the share, Gordon. More than the physical aspect we IM people usually walk through using the mind. It's our capital. Nurture it and use it.

Say, I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

Are you saying that IM people (not sure who those are) THINK as opposed to teach?

Anyhow, one of the biggest problems you'll find here at the WF and out there in life in general is:

People don't know how to get organized. AND, they don't know how to set achievable goals.

In this sub forum, there is a lot of regurgitated "positive sayings" and much copy and paste with not so much real THINKING going on (of course, there are a few who present their ideas from a place of KNOWLEDGE gained by doing as opposed to the ones who just read a book and are excited with their new found information).

So, my question was about how many of you are actually applying and teaching or sharing your strategies with other people?

I can name two people here (mind warriors) who could be making a great income by coaching other people, because they have used their own "tools" to have improved their minds and achieved their success in the DOING of it.

Although, coaching and/or teaching requires a separate skill set.

The one thing that I've found so many Warriors need, is someone to hold them accountable for their moves...and to "slap them to sleep, then slap them for sleeping" when they get off of their path.

All frustrations and lack of movement toward a clearly defined goal comes from the lack of ability to control thinking and corresponding actions.

Teach people HOW to take control of their thinking (as opposed to telling them to 1) control your thinking 2) control your actions)...

It is the HOW which is important.

        Funny you should mention this...

Recently, I was talking to one of my own coaches/mentors and I jokingly said "I should be coaching people..."

He said "You SHOULD be...you'd be awesome at it."

The point was driven home very clearly over the next couple of days, twice actually...

        1) Called a financial planner for a little advice and direction and the call quickly turned into my internet marketing knowledge being drawn out of me to help his business.

        2) Met with two real estate investors regarding properties I was interested in and the meeting turned into how I could teach them to develop a high end training and coaching program. We start on it next Tuesday.

Sometimes we are called to coach or teach and we don't even realize it until it's staring us right in the face.

I'm SUPER passionate about helping people get unstuck and improving their lives. I've got the skills, knowledge and gifts to do it and I'm going to do it!

        Very exciting times.

for what you think it might be worth.

(But I'd give it to you just the same as if were one of the people who PAY me to advise them )

Be sure to DOCUMENT your process with your first few clients, take copious notes and get all of THEIR questions down on paper.

The reason is, you'll develop a template, find that many of the same questions keep popping up over and over and you have ready answers. AND, as you expand your coaching, you'll have a ton of FAQ's at the ready as you expand.

INDEED, it is an exciting time. Go and TEACH. You'll learn a LOT as you do more and more. And you'll find it very rewarding, personally as well as financially. YOUR help will be greatly appreciated.

If only we could convince more people to SHARE what they know (by teaching others) we'd have a lot more happy campers here at the WF as opposed to the "desperate" kind.

I've been coaching people for years (sometimes paid, and sometimes not). I've taken the last couple years off to work on other projects, but I'm working my way back into it.

One thing I learned while coaching others is that some people are very resistant to any change, even if they have requested help. It takes some consistent work before they are ready to make changes. Then you have those people who jump on any suggestion you make and work the plan until they achieve exactly what they want. It's a matter of mindset and how ready for change a person actually is.

    Good points!

Wow, that was incredible. Thank you for sharing that, that's great reinforcement. You're right, the truth is, that if the people around us were to start really engaging their minds, and massively creating in their lives, it would DEMAND MORE OF THEM. So it's easy to criticize people who are growing, and say things like "success isn't everything," or "can't you just be happy where you are!"

But, you're right on point, and even I need to hear this. We're all together in this, either way. If we're growing, we attract each other. That's why we're all here, right now, reading this.

I contribute to as many people as I can. I work with people from different countries to help them to change things! I have sessions with people 1on1 in Pa and NJ and I do free live coaching calls as well! Contributing to others, I've found, is the real juice of life. The other stuff, is a great bonus. Thanks again for posting this!! Awesome stuff.

I'm a Social Worker by day helping kids with behavioral problems and a webmaster of my new site to help everyone else out by night. It is very fulfilling and I learn just as much from the kids I help as they do from me. My biggest challenge now is to market my site effectively to get traffic flowing.
