I have been doing internet marketing for a little over 2 years. I am still not making a consitent income. I think part of this is that I am not organized. I work on to many projects at one time. Here are my goals for 2011.
1. My short term and most immediate gaol is to make $1000.00 a month. This would be where I would give up my full time job. My wife works and can sustain us until the income would be increased.

If you were just starting out and needed to make $1000.00 a month and where this could grow, where would you start?
1. Cpa
2. Clickbank
3. Other affiliate programs

Thanks for the help

When we want to succeed we half to want it as much as we need to breathe.

CPA is the best to earn big bucks but not for a long term, so if you have your target for only $1000 you should go for CPA network.

That is what I was thinking. $1000.00 a month again is my initial short term goal. I would like to do Cpa. I dont know if cpc is the best way to go?

It is great to have that kind of goal. It can help a lot to be more passionate of what you are doing.

I would go with a service. You could easily make $1,000 per month doing something you are good at and you will be on your way to starting a BUSINESS which hopefully is the ultimate goal.

Creating a product (there's more than just "info products") would work too but you'd need an idea, sourcing, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

You could also "broker" deals between two people (or businesses). There's BIG BUCKS in that.

Edit - When you are thinking about a service, just remember that you are good at something...everyone is. You just have to be honest with yourself and find out what it is if you don't already know.

I agree with this since you can have more income from service. If you're hardworking man, you can get more than 1000 per month. It is not impossible

Plus one more tip to have more client when you start up some kind of service, give a good and cheap price plus give the best for your clients!

This will be helpful when you have some competitors in your business.

      Hope this will be helpful.

      Regards,

I did the same thing myself when I got started. Jumped from one project to another every time something "new and better" came along. There is a great WSO on just this topic:

I would find an affiliate program that really appealed to me and was effective and focus on that. There are some very high paying affiliate programs that solve "pain" problems that people have. If you find one that you really believe and, promoting it will be easy and the income will follow.

As for clickbank vs CPA, vs traditional affiliate networks, it really doesnt matter that much. The important thing in IM is beign able to drive traffic, so that should be your focus. If you learn how to drive traffic, then you will make good money from any of the above monetization strategies.

I know this doesnt really answer your question but I thought its important to mention because a lot of people focus too much on the monetization of traffic and not on actually generating the traffic.

With that said, I do CPA full time so I might be naturally biased towards that as the best monetization strategy but the others have their place as well. CPA is lucrative but is a bit different ball game than a clickbank or affiliate program, at least on the monetization end. But again let me stress that the initial focus should be on the traffic, not the monetization.

CPA is very lucrative but it takes time to learn, as does driving traffic. If immediate income is needed then I agree with the above that you should provide some service. Thats a good way to earn money and get paid fast (payouts aren't fast in the commissions based world normally). Then spend the other half of your time on the IM side.

    My two cents

I would rather go for FREELANCE SERVICE first. You need to master the ins and outs of internet business before you venture to a much higher business model.

I truly appreciate all the comments and feedback. One thing I want and plan to do in 2011 is the following.
    1. Write down my goals and dreams.
    2. What am i going to do the reach these dreams.
    3. Stay around positive people. It is not healthy to be around negative people. We feed on that type of stuff.
    4. I am going to focus on one thing at a time and i am going to get organized.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and i pray that 2011 is the best year of your life. I think we all need to work together. We need to invest our time in other people if we truly want success.

    Thanks

I would suggest to start building your IM Assets, which may include:

    1) Your own killer products.
    2) A responsive list.
    3) Relationships (JV partners, affiliates, etc.)
    4) Your websites and content.
    5) Backlinks.
