What have you learn in 2010 and what are your achievements? (and How can you have a great year!)

What have you learn in 2010?

2010 is coming to an end soon and how are you faring for your New Year resolution. This is the time to be honest to yourself and check out are you nearer to your goals.

Biggest Mistake You Can Make

If you never review how you are faring regularly, how are you going to know how near or far are you to your goals?

Most of us know how to set goals but not a lot of people do their review.

In fact, I don't do my review once a year because the period is too long and I may forget all about my goals.

I do regular weekly reviews to see how I am doing and make the necessary changes to my strategies if I am not moving nearer to my goals.

I set a total of 3 goals this year and I achieved 2 of it. I completed my first marathon and 2 half marathon for the year and I got my blog up from 700 to 2000 subscribers.

All of these will not happen if I did not do my regular weekly reviews because I will have lost track of my goals.

It Is Time For You To Review Your Goals

If you had set your goals at the start of the year, have a look at them again. Check whether are you at where you want to be. If yes, congrats! If no, think about a new set of strategies and start implementing them again.

But this time round, remember to do your weekly review of your goals. I want to stress on this point because it really can help you to make significant progress whether you want to earn money online or lose weight.

That will be all and I look forward to listen to how you fare and what you think about reviewing your goals regularly.

Note: Christmas is around the corner, I am giving away Christmas gifts (free books) such as The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. If you would like to get these books, you can check out more information by clicking here and read this article.

Cheers,
Vincent

Yes, I guess I need to review what I am doing more consistently!

I have achieved some good things this year, but 2011 will be even better!

That’s what’s great about keeping a journal. You can go back over your entries for the year and see what you succeeded at doing and what you let slip by. Plus it’s a great way to see what your moods are and what you were thinking that may have influenced you.

If you’re not keeping one now I strongly suggest you start one in 2011.

I've learned that my biggest asset is my time.

You can't get it back once it's gone and if you
don't manage your time you'll lose money hand
      over fist.

After studying and applying the Pomodoro
Technique, I do everything in my life differently.

It's crazy how much more I get done over the
course of a day. And I feel better.

At the end of every day I look at what goals
I've met and see if I over or underestimated
the amount of time it took to complete a task.

This keeps me on track in all areas of my life.

2010 has been a great year for me. Great as it is, I've also learned a lot this year. One important lesson that i learned this year is to be not too trusting. Betrayal is man's nature. No matter how people seem to be sincere and innocent, it is not a hundred percent guarantee that they won't betray you or anyone else.
I believe 2011 will be as great as 2010, if not greater. I will continue to think positive and face each challenge with confidence. But this time, I'll be careful and I'll be more in control.

Thank you for sharing that reviewing your goals could be the answer to long term goals. Haven't realized it until you said so.

        Hi Dominique,

I had picked up about the Pomodoro Technique recently too and it help solves my execution problem. Sometimes I tend to procrastinate and the pomodoro technique helps greatly.

Good job, Vincent! I just started exploring your blog...

I had several goals for this year. I wanted to travel around Europe (done). I wanted to learn how to speak basic conversational Spanish (done). And I wanted to graduate (done!)

One of the things I couldn't accomplish was gain the amount of blog readers and subscribers I wanted, but that's because I didn't connect with people. Doesn't matter though, because I enjoy writing. So connecting with others is what I'm going to focus on.

I also wanted to magically jack up my affiliate sales on my first (and now dead) blog. And that actually happened so I'm really happy (and surprised) about it.

In 2011, I want to continue learning Spanish, learn conversational Mandarin Chinese, learn to swim indefinitely, connect with other like-minded bloggers and increase readership, and travel to Taiwan.

For my 2010 goals, I have exceeded almost all. I am happy with the results. All the hardwork were paid off. For 2011, I have like 50 things that I want to achieve. That's too many so I have to narrow it down first. I might be overwhlmed with the things I want to achieve I might end up with nothing. But one thing's for sure, I plan to double my income and my savings in 2010. How do I do that? I need to plan year 2011 thoroughly and I'm not done with the planning yet. I still have changes hee, changes there and hopefully before the year ends, I am done with the planning already so all i have to d is implement it by 2011.

My biggest mistake in 2010 - I was trying too many things. Guess I was trying to make instant success. Thanks to Rich Schefren, I stop doing that and am now focused on what is important to make my business work. Thank god I have a good enough business that make me enough money despite me being a fool. In 2011, it will all be about focusing my efforts on what is important.

I have learned that people fall out of love, it's no brainer. It's not a question of what you've done, it's understanding the logic why you failed and stopped trying.

I've learned a great deal from my 31 day challenge and will be using it to create a series of blogs and posting to them every day. By using the method I developed this month I should be able to provide 5 blogs with about 5 posts per day with a full article written for one of them.

I've learned to think less and take action more.

2010 was a HUGE learning experience for me on pulling the trigger and really making my goals a reality.

Thanks for the post! It re-emphasized a lot of what I needed to go back and look at regarding my goals!
