Why People Skills Can Make You A Fortune

Notice how most folks go out of their way to help nice people?

We want to surround ourselves with pleasant individuals. As a new IM'er there's no better skill you can possess than adopting a pleasing personality.

You generally won't have the practical skills to succeed right off of the bat but if you're polite and willing to learn I guarantee you will be matched up with the right sponsor.

When you attract like-minded, high energy people your career will take off. Business is relationships; learn how to make connections and you can make an absolute fortune with any venture.

I had zero knowledge of IM but sponsored people in my first month. What did it? My contagious positive energy and the fact that I had solid people skills and a pleasing personality. I did hone my skills from working with a variety of people in different jobs yet most of my personality comes from being raised a certain way.

My parents drilled it into me to always say please, thank you and be nice to others. Who would have thought these basic skills are some of the most important you can learn? Amazing and powerful stuff.

You open so many more doors for yourself - even with limited knowledge of your industry - when you have a pleasing personality and know how to treat others. You can't put a dollar sign on that skill set because it opens doors that rude people keep closed.

Good post. If you come off as rude or "salesy" in your interactions with people, you're doomed to not succeed and have a "sleazy" reputation to boot.

    True Stephanie.

Everybody seeks "how to make money" but few seek how to improve their connecting skills. Since we do business with people it seems that connecting would be of the utmost importance. We need to learn different strategies but if the person behind the strategies is a jerk or a shyster watch how karma quickly weeds 'em out. We see this again and again.

A person who can make a person feel like a person will never lack.

Great post RB. There is a pretty good book called the “Power of 2” that covers what you are talking about. I know for a fact that I find pleasant people more appealing to be around and connect with. You can actually feel it radiate from them.

When you are genuinely caring and kind people can sense it. It is seen in your body language, in your face and eyes, and in the tone of your voice. People can truly sense it and feel it.

    Yeah...I agree

We have to make ourselves a pleasing personality...It will be automatically built if we learn to love everyone without jealousy or hatred.Pretence will always make destruction.

People will respect you if they feel that you are sincere. That is my secret.

I have to disagree with you there. I've been pleasant to people only to receive rudeness in return. There are many different people out there in this world and some are just plain nasty.

MOST return kindness for kindness, but there are some where this just does not work.
