You don't need to be told...

that you have to get down to action and stop those never-ending analysis.

You don't need to be told that any niche that has to do with... what?
  • life, - does it improve my life? Does it make me feel good, better...
  • pain, - does the niche alleviate anyone's pain? Does it take away my problem, sorrow, sadness...
  • fear, - does it allay my fears? Does it make me feel secure, safe...
...is a hot niche.

You have analyzed the market so much; it's time to get down to business.

Let 2011 be your year of action not analysis!

You're right! Don't take too much reading and comprehending and analyzing different strategies in the market. What we really need is ACTION. And this would be one of my best considerations this next year. Let's always make a "move."

    A Prosperous New Year!

    This is all true.

The problem is that people get a fire roaring, but then it fizzles in a few short days as life gets in the way.

While you still have that motivation, try this:

    1. Set a goal.
    2. Make it reasonable but challenging.
    3. Write it down (yes, the old fashioned way on paper!)
    4. Make it measurable.
    For example:
By the time I stop working on December 31, 2010, I will have registered a domain name for a product I'm developing. I will have installed a WordPress blog on this domain name.

Now, that's really two goals, and there's a bunch of stuff behind selecting a domain name, choosing a WP theme, etc, but hopefully you get the point.

Make you goal(s) realistic - don't say you're going to build a new 145 page ebook in the next 3 minutes with no previous knowledge of the subject.

Include a commitment - that's the measurable part, an usually is a date.
It adds more motivation if you need it... if you realize on December 30th that you haven't made much progress, your commitment date will add fuel to the fire to motivate you to get moving!

Use the motivation you have right now and do something with it... push yourself to the next step.

Now, take that motivation and go turn it into money.

    All success,

    Gary

    2010 were great for me.

2011 will be the best for me.

However, I had information overload in 2010, but now I know how to deal with it effectivelly. To do that I had to set my goals properly. I Use S.M.A.R.T. model.

Here is what these 5 letters mean:

    S - Specific
    M - Measurable
    A - Attainable
    R - Relavant
    T - Timely

Also, it really help to me to achieve my goals much more faster when I write my main goals and then hang up that piece of paper on the wall. I make several copies of that paper and hang it up everywhere in my office, at home.

Every morning I wake up and imagine that I achieved them. It feels so great... Of course, I have a plan how to that. It is very simple.

Here are my goals and plan:

    Goals of 2011

    Make 15000 dollars every month
Build a list of 20000 subscribers

    Plan

Everyday contact at least 1 new JV partner
    Everyday do an email swap
Participate in some JV give away events
Make an interview product every 2 weeks and then contact JV partners to promote my products (usually I make a simple sales page where I sell that interview product for 10 dollars, but I let my JV partners to email their list and give it for free and that way I build my list really FAST)

As you can see it is a really simple plan and I don't do social bookmarking, article writing and so on from where I get minimum results.

Ah yes... this was a great reminder about the power of writing measurable goals. I used to do that and would get frustrated... but I believe I was writing unobtainable goals for the position I was in. I've found over time though, it's REALLY easy to get off track when you're just "doing your own thing" instead of following through with goals.

But now that things have really been kicking alive for me this year... it's time to break out the measurable goals again and get down to business.

You don't need to be told... that reading this post was a waste of time.

ohz noz... it's another take action thread.

Can the warrior forum make it a day without one of these?

Maybe it was for you. But that's not to say it was a waste of time for everyone. Some folks need to see posts like this on a regular basis to remind them that surfing the WF doesn't constitute 'taking action'. (note to self, ' this reply does not constitute 'taking action' :p)

Here is the deal, these silly posts are made everyday.

If somebody needs to be told that they need to Take Action, I suspect that are already destined for failure.

Successful and motivated people don't need to be told to Take Action. They are already In Action, that is why they are a success, they are self-motivated.

I seriously doubt a Take Action post is going to have much of a lasting effect on those who need them to get through the day. It gives them a warm n' fuzzy feeling in their belly for a couple of minutes before it fades away. Clearly, being a leader is not in their DNA. These are also the same people who spend hundreds of dollars on Make Money Online products and still aren't making any money. Not everybody is cut-out for this stuff, don't quit the day job.

Yes, that does sound mean but it's the truth.

As Yoda said, either do or do not, there is no try.

No one is denying that action is crucial to success, but without proper planning, you'll be running around like a chicken with its head cut off, not really going anywhere or accomplishing anything.

As Gary has mentioned above, it's important that you set discrete and measurable goals for each day (or at the very least, each week) that you can use as a yardstick to measure your progress. In addition to that, you need to put some thought and planning into your goals and action steps to ensure that they actually fall in line with your overall objectives. In other words, don't mistake action for progress - make sure that everything you're doing is moving you closer to your main objectives, otherwise you'll just be running around in circles, or even backwards.

Exactly why I said that you don't need to be told.

BTW, I believe that no human is destined for failure. Only our actions or inactions could be destined for failure.

      You're totally right.

No body also denies that proper planning is very important to success because a house without proper foundation is destined to crumble.

I'm sure you would agree with me that many people talk about this their great, amazing, awesome goals and how they have planned everything well but when you start looking for the physical manifestation of those goals and plans, you get disappointed in them.

Again, you would agree with me that some folks are very good at talking about and painting pictures of their future but are simply not there when it comes to bringing those pictures to life.

I have been at this crazy, all-absorbing game for 6 years. The first five were wasted trying to sell something people need Now my team and I are launching a product people want!

When I first came online I just about went broke buying every new thing in sight, even if I didn't need it until later in the cycle. I was confused and, like a rabbit in headlights, did nothing but feel frustrated. I think this is a common trait.

Then, I discovered I had ADD and was incapable of focusing one more than one task at a time, That was a breakthrough! I am now super-focused on one thing at a time. I have an overall plan; I know what comes first and what must follow that. My entire concentration is on the current step. I now know I can do this and be very successful.

I tossed out the product I had spent five year on and began to get experts around me rather than trying to learn everything half-assed for myself. I got advice from WF without which I would never has been able to do what I now do. In three weeks, we launch a massive project and will be able to dominate a very competitive field.

This is not cheap. I spend full time at it and have four other people and an excellent company doing the site and most of the marketing. But in case that puts you off, I started with no savings and a pension of $2,000 a month. If I can do this, anyone can.

This time I don't just think we will be successful, I know, The secret is focus, learning, having a genuine product that helps others, and being totally honest.

If you believe in your product, get it out there. Don't be so analytical. That just brings paralysis after too much of it. Make adjustments if they are needed after the launch.
