The Law of Attraction Is Always Working, You Can Never Escape It

I just heard those words uttered by Bob Proctor.

If you don't believe in the law of attraction realize that your thoughts and feelings are creating your reality in each moment. You choose thoughts and feelings, maintain a level of vibration and these feelings proceed to create your reality.

This happens continually.

Now if you're nodding in agreement, how are you feeling now? Good, bad? Have you complained today? Have you given praise, or thanks?

I am digging out of a blizzard here, 31 inches of snow out there. I feel it's beautiful, appreciating the snow. So I am generating thought waves that penetrate all time and space, and these thought waves are super high, positive energy. Aligning myself up for wonderful situations now and in the future, all with a choice.

Some of my NJ neighbors don't feel the same way. Complaining about the snow, the wind, the cold. Guess what they're setting themselves up for? More things to complain about. Attracting more negative situations.

We are both making conscious choices but I know that my thoughts and feelings are creating my reality *Continually.*

How are you feeling now? What can you do to change your vibe from lower to higher energy?

I don't know? I've been to Africa, trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Mind showing me some real studies on "Law of Attraction"? This is the biggest BS ever. You're also forgetting we only hear about the successful people, like Einstein (Everyone can be Einstein according to this LOA nonsense), what about all the people who failed? All this enlightenment garbage can be summarized in to two words, "Work hard". The bible is worthless garbage like all other religious texts. They're simply rehashing these old "enlightenment" tales, so they can make money. Yea I'm sure I could be a basketball player, if I only had the positive mind of Lebron James. Maybe you should read some books on Biology for that matter, to realize that not everyone can be "successful", if so, then everyone would be rich, no? Why should my Aunt waste thousands on chemotherapy, when she could, just think "positively".. What a pathetic joke...

Although the Secret is good, the book by Esther Hicks kind of give plenty of practical exercises, that you can do on a daily basis, for you to enjoy a brighter and happier life.

For anyone who is into the law of attraction, I would strongly suggest to read this book, it is a very interesting read but most of all, give you many keys to teach yourself how to elevate your vibrations.

Actually, knowing that the law of attraction is always working was a bit scary for me at the beginning (I was kind of overwhelmed by the power of my own thoughts!), then again it is also very empowering at the same time, knowing that you are the master of your life, and realizing that you kind of hold you fate in your mind.

I personally feel great at the moment, but one of the exercises that I tend to do when I'm feeling low or down - fortunately, it is pretty seldom - is to use the "wouldn't it be nice if.." sentence and then finish the sentence with whatever I want to happen: a positive event, a happy situation and such.
It does take your mind immediatly to the "happy" place that you need to get your actual vibration to a higher one. And since you can't stay low when you think of happy thoughts, it does the trick.

Another thing could be to use gratitude, and be grateful for all the good things that I have in my life. I always started with my health, because there are so many people who are not fortunate enough to have a good health that I don't take the fact that I can see, walk, and such for granted. By the time I said out loud the things I was grateful about, my mood was much better.

Or sometimes, you can just think about people that you love and dwell on it, or things that you particularly like and it works just as well!
Never heard of that book or the author, I'll have to check both out, thanks for the info and the exercise.

@LD You must remember one thing.

Anybody who *fights* against something senses the Truth in it. This is why they resist. The stronger the negative emotions, the stronger the Truth, the more resistance and need to defend their point of view.

If Kan didn't believe at all in the LOA or the idea that the collective consciousness of a group of people creates their reality than he would ignore this thread completely It would be dismissed, he would move on.

@Kan You've experienced a few things that have caused you to forfeit your divine (lowercase "d") powers up until now. I suggest that you take a deep breath, fight less, listen, and not react too quickly.

There are some powerful truths that wise people throughout time hold to, namely that thought causes all.

The collective consciousness of a group of people creates their realities. Our minds "hold it together", if you will.

God blessed us with Paradise. Anything to the contrary is a man-made illusion. All the things we perceive to be sickness, tragedy, etc are the product of a mass collective consciousness creating the even. We observe appearances - sickness, poverty, etc - and because most people are weak-minded, or would rather DIE than think, they judge according to these appearances, deeming them "Reality" (stress the capital "R"). Reality perceived, reality created.

If you can think Health in the midst of disease, or wealth amidst the appearances of poverty, you are on to something. It takes continual effort but I feel that unlimited awareness can handle it I suggest you give it a shot and see how your life will change.

I know, this stuff drove me mad before I accepted it. When it did my life improved dramatically. It all started when I became open-minded and trusted less in my ego-driven need to be right.

LD if he acknowledged the LOA then he would have to take responsibility for where he is now in his life. You are where you are now in life because of the choices you've made. But if you agreed with that then you are the one responsible.

So the only way out of that responsibility is the say it's not the truth and not so. I can tell you're a passionate person and there is nothing wrong with that, but you shouldn't let people like this get to you. YOU are the one that will succeed, they are the ones with all the excuses...

True, but I tend to do the same thing at times. Someone will say something and I'll get upset, then I realize that they are the ones with the problem and I'll say it's so sad for them and I hope God (or whatever you believe in) can help them...

          You want studies?

Just look at everything you or anyone else has ever done, then work back through the processes involved to acheive those things. You will find evidence of the LoA in each example.

Not all of my mentors are officially "into" the law of attraction. But from two of them I've learned the art of "backwards planning."

Basically, if my goal is to earn $300,000 in 2011, I act and think as if it has happened. For example, my mindset would be "I am so happy and so grateful that I've made $300,000."

The areas of my life to which I've applied this philosophy have radically transformed, and I hope the same for all of you in the upcoming year.

    Hey Ryan,

    Thanks for the awesome thread!

I believe if you think positive, positive things are bound to happen. If you think negative, then negative things are bound to happen. Now I'm not saying that is true everytime, but most of the time.

    Just my 2 cents.

One of the best books I've read on the Law of Attraction is the pamphlet titled "The Mental Equivalent" by Emmet Fox, one of the early New Thought Leaders. It's small, but powerful. I carry it in my purse and read sections of it everyday. Only 2 bucks on the Unity website.

Also, it's not only our individual thoughts that affect LOA, but also the collective consciousness of the human race as a whole plays a role.

Although I believe in what you attract what you want when maintaining a positive attitude in the process as well, I do strongly believe that the way this state of mind is strongly "americanized" (if that even is a word, LOL!) What I mean here is that the LOA presented in the book The Secret is just a carnaval version of how i really works.

You can not sit on your flat ass just thinking you will win that 100 million dollar jackpot in the lottery! In order to have success you have to make it yourself! When one has the intention of creating something, one should act on it and maintain positive that he will get it. I have had more success with 2nd part than the first part of this paragraph. YES I HAVE BEEN THAT GUY SITTING ON MY FLAT ASS FOR 6 MONTHS DOING NOTHING! And guess what? I am no multi millionaire! But if you can grab the very essence the law of attraction you are in alot of fun. I am still baffled day by day.

    My 2 cents.

The great feedback continues, thanks for sharing guys.

Acting is important but thinking is as important, for the actions you take are dependent on the thoughts that you choose. That's why "The Secret" drilled this point home, so much so that many skeptics completely the ignored the section on inspired action - double-check it, yes, they DO actually tell you that action may be required to manifest your dreams - and said that The Secret was all about sitting somewhere and thinking things into being, without acting.

Here is my experience and understanding. Good things and bad things happen to us everyday, it is our focus and how we Interprete the event create the feeling that we feel. If you have biase to think positive, it is your way of interpration that make you think more good things is around. And it is a habit of thinking.

When we develop the habit to think about the positive side we tend to move toward to that side and create new action towards our thinking.

If someone believe in something and take no action, that means they are not really believe in what they are saying. Real believe need action to support. That is how faith is define.

We all know there are many problem in this world, hungry child in Africa etc, with positive and creative thinking, we need solution and we need action taker to implement the solution. and positive thinking do help.

Work hard is the foundation of everything, but work hard is not equal to suffering, working hard could be very positive if you know what you want and see yourself is getting closer to your goal.

Sorry, not into this at all. It lacks scientific support, and worse yet, it implies that victims are to blame for their misfortunes (by saying "there are no victims" and so forth). I find this sort of thing to be a reflection of a really dangerous, damaging culture in the Western world these days.

    I'll pass on this, thanks.

A person choses in their own mind to consider themselves a victim or not.

Have you ever seen a person who has been badly injured (maybe by a drunk driver or as a result of a terrorist act) yet has a positive outlook on life? That person doesn't consider themself a victim, and hence they go on to enjoy their life.
Conversely, there are examples of people all around us who never move on in their lives because they don't take responsibility for their own success/happiness/wealth/whatever...those people think they are victims - victims of circumstance. Circumstances that they either created, or did nothing to change. This is the damaging culture in our society; people thinking they are victims and not taking responsibilty for their own set of circumstances.

The people who believe in the law of attraction feel that faith in the invisible is what causes things to become visible.

The people who don't believe in the law of attraction seem to be focused on needing some form of scientific proof to verify that the LOA exists and in that it does in fact influence our lives.

There is no right or wrong here. Ultimately, whatever serves you works for you.

The only thing that I would add is that living in the outside world - always searching for proof, always searching for hard "facts", always looking outside - creates a great deal of needless anxiety. Living from the outside-in does this.

If you're willing to live from the inside-out your life can become magical pretty darn quickly. When I began to trust in the invisible more good things became visible to me, with little effort. I've learned that life is not meant to be a constant struggle. If you can accept this idea and are willing to believe in the unseen much of your current tension will dissolve. You will be in the flow and good things will move into your life with little or no effort in many cases.

Thanks for sharing your insight guys

We all like diamonds in the rough and needs to be cleaned and refined before we can attract the beautiful things we desire and dream about.

The law of attraction will only give us what we match vibrationally.

The law of attraction was never meant to be the one and all that fixes all your problems. It is just one spiritual law amongst many universal spiritual laws which will attract whatever is likened unto itself.

In order to attract whatever you want, it is your responsibility to do whatever it takes to change your vibration so that you become a match for what you want.

The best way to do this is by totally transforming yourself.

I've got mixed feelings about this...

On one hand, some years ago I spent a lot of focus on attracting something and it was very successful. Unfortunately, it had side effects which I can not go into details about. Let's just say "be careful what you wish for".

On the other hand, I've had times in my life where I was positive and happy-happy and something crazy bad happens. Also had times when I was in bad mood doing bad stuff and out of the blue comes something that I needed or wanted just at that moment.

Perhaps people think "Law of Attraction" means "The Power over everything" but that is not the case. I don't believe you can attract $300 billion dollar into your bank account. But, you can be more or less happy to get a salary increase. The difference is that the person who can be happy and show appreciation for what is already given will also have a greater chance of receiving again.

But there is something that I still struggle with, and that is how the Law of Attraction is influencing others. Like the kids in Africa, or someone born with leukemia. Obviously, the Law of Attraction is not the only law affecting our physical lifes.

So, the big question mark to me is... how does the Law of Attraction behave in a network/ecosystem of humans...

Well, I'll keep attracting everything I want and just be happy about it now that I found a powerful method that works for me, over and over So what if it's just "placebo", who cares... lol (btw, please think and act in favor of the less privileged in our society)
