Success - Knowing what to give your mind

I used to be a "mental mess." I had no idea what was going on in my mind and I would often refer to this thing we call BRAIN as some crazy uncontrollable mad man in my head running the show.

Then I started getting in there, learning how to alter the processes and became what I call "internally adept." If you can direct the show, the outcome is great. If not, get ready for a huge mess!

Paying attention to your mind, listening to the messages and then giving it what it needs is a critical part in my strategies for achievement.

For example: Self esteem plays a bigger role than we think in our action. We act only in accordance with the level of esteem we have for ourselves at any given moment.

If someone said something to you that made you feel incompetent, that can have a radically negative effect on your work, what you'll produce and definitely how you feel. Even though people can't control how we feel, we're social beings.. it's easy to get down when someone says you're inept.

So, having mental programs firing off that give you the feeling of incompetency is detrimental to your growth and productivity so being aware of that, identifying the problem and then IMMEDIATELY tending to it, is a great strategy for what I call "reintegration."

Say a couple well languaged, well structured phrases to retrain your mind to feel good and to up your level of esteem you have for yourself. Think about all of your accomplishments, create pictures of them in your mind and repeat phrases telling yourself how awesome you are. Say them out loud, with intensity and with enough repetition that they stick in your brain.

This literally retrains your brain (kind of like affirmations, but with more intensity and emphasis on well languaged sentences or phrases).

One of the quickest ways to retrain yourself is to give unquestioned commands to your nervous system. Thanks for reading!

Great question! Yes. An unquestioned command is a command (kind of like an affirmation, but more structured and better languaged) that you're so certain about that you reinforce massively until your brain gets the message that there is no question, this is how you'll be.

For 10 days, for 20 minutes each time, I gave my mind the command "Everyday, massive and consistent growth circulates through my mind and circulates through my body, and I manifest it daily."

TALK ABOUT RESULTS! For the next 10 days (and beyond) I created a new meaning for rapid achievement!

Your brain is getting commands all of the time, based on what you think. If you can intentionally give it commands that make you a superstar, great results will inevitably follow.

An unquestioned command can also be the act of what I call "building new references." Your mind has thousand of references. If you go "I want to take X ACTION," and your mind goes "Yea but, guy (some person you know) did it and got lousy results," that may stop you from taking action. It's a bad mental reference.

Since your brain references these "reference points" to determine how to engage the world, putting in references that move you to action is installing an unquestioned command. I have a strategy for that in a guide I'm writing AS WE SPEAK called "How to kick ass and achieve massively in 2011." It's a free guide and I'll post in in here as soon as I'm done with it!!

This is similar to what Anthony Robbins calls "Incantations" if I understand you correctly.
