There Is NO Secret to Success, Just Do It.

The reason that I believe people are not truly successful is because they dream too much.

Some people dream their life away, while others wake up from the dream & project a real goal.

I've been guilty of dreaming, but I've waken up. I'm actually now excited to get work done, because that means I'm one more step away from reaching my goals. I have a clear path to my goals, and I'm always excited with how big or little my success is.

I'm only working for motivated buyer traffic, and I only want the best kind of offers to present to my visitors. If they don't buy, then I'm glad if they opt-in to my list. Actually, that's what I mainly want, motivated opt-ins.

With a motivated opt-in, I see them as a customer for life. Who needs sales now? A sale today may not be a sale tomorrow, but an opt-in can be a sale for life.

I once read a quote from a book that has motivated me to do things. In that book it said, "Inch by inch, it's a cinch. Yard by yard, it's hard".

I hope that you have a prosperous day.

    I had a secret-

    When I did things that worked, I did more of it.

    When I did things that did not work, I did less of it.

      This is a simple yet profound statement that can work wonders for your business if you apply it.

      Many of us do what we do daily on auto pilot, i.e. we don't really think about its consequences or whether it's actually advancing us towards our goals. By taking the time to step back and reflect a little on what we're actually doing, this can really make a big difference in our journey towards success.

    These are actually secrets to success. The more you operate, the better off things will be.

    1. Honesty
    2. Integrity
    3. Hard Work and Smart Work
    4. Customer Service
    5. Attention to Detail
    6. A Good Deal is ONLY Good if both Parties Benefit.
    7. Giving
    8. Offer Great Value
    9. Take Action
    10. Goals

    I may add to this as I think about it, but these are extemely important for success. Although many internet marketers and business people succeed without operating all of these. One of the biggest that is not operated is Honesty in my opinion. And of course Action.

      Yes it requires work but you have to have a sense of when you just beating your head against the wall for nothing.

      I never made real money from working are but by doing the right things. It takes either hard work, or a good instinct to know when you are doing the right things!

      Here is what Napoleon hill said about how you attain success:

      #1 Fix in your mind the exact goal that you desire. Be definite.
      #2 Decide exactly what you intend to give for achieving that goal.
      #3 Establish a clear date when you intend to achieve the goal.
      #4 Create a definite plan for achieving your goal and begin at once to execute the plan, whether you are "ready" or not.
      #5 Write down your goal, what you intend to give for it, your time frame, and your action plan.
      #6 Read your written statement aloud twice a day - once before retiring and once immediately after rising.

      Please note step #4 is: TAKE ACTION.

        Doing "it" works, as long as you know what "it" is.

        In a nutshell:

        * Know what you want (down to the dollar if it's a monetary amount);

        * Research ways to get it;

        * Test to see what works;

        * When you're heading in the right direction, do more of what's working;

        * NEVER talk about it, just do it (if you must talk, talk to someone who's achieving the results you want -- it's a waste of time talking to people who have no clue. And it can be dangerous... they can throw you off track);

        * Keep your mind and emotions on WHAT YOU WANT, not on what you don't.

        From what I've seen most people just don't know how to set goals.

        They set goals like "lose weight in 2011"... that's not a goal, it's an idea.

        A goal is written down.

        Example: "I lose X pounds by _____ (one month from now), and X pounds by ______ (six months from now). I do this by: following my diet plan exactly. I shop for food which is on my diet. I've thrown out all foods which tempt me to overindulge. I avoid ________, and _______ (people who encourage me to eat the wrong foods, or drink too much."

        If I were setting the above goal, I'd also write a diet plan, so I'd know exactly what I'd eat at each meal, as well as a shopping list.

        Then I'd keep a diet diary, so I'd know exactly what I weigh on each day, the foods and water I'd consumed, and the amount of exercise I'd done.

        Once you create a program like this, "doing it" is the only secret to success, as you've pointed out.

        Sadly, most people spend more time researching the car they're thinking of buying, than their goals and plans for their one and only life. :-)

        Happy 2011. :-)

          I'll tell you one thing - online marketing works.

          I think Gary Halbert said it best: "you can mail everyone in the world free."

          Anyways, for those looking for a gem to help make online marketing work for them I'll tell you this - what works is getting in a starving crowd situation - again from Halbert.

          Another way of putting it is to drop everything else and focus in on getting into a buying context.

          Think of the mall at Christmas - it just works. It's irresistible.

          The traffic just comes.

          Don't do it the other way around.

    It is okay to dream big as long as you make the effort to make those dreams a reality.The real trick to success is to take action. It does not matter how good your ideas are, if you do not take action,you will be a failure.If you are one of those people who has a lot of good information but you do not know how to take action, consider selling the information for a living. Information is power and it can take you places.

      I have tried twice to be successful, if making money is what depicts success. The first time was in network marketing. I got to the top of the tree. Accolades galore... I won holidays, I Pod, money, etc. but... I could never find anyone like me to duplicate my apparent success, therefore I did not succeed. BUT I learned A LOT.

      The second time it was internet marketing, but this time I also relied on someone else to manage the technical side, as I excel most at the creative part. This person became an 'ex' and had the rights to my URL; I did not realize how 'out of control' that made me, so again I did not succeed... BUT I learned A LOT.

      I now know that it is important to only rely on YOU until you know enough to out-source... otherwise ultimately you remain out of control. The moment you give that control away, your success is in the hands of another and you are at risk of either manipulation or lack of the right skills or experience.

      I had a pizza shop once... one day my apprentices downed tools and walked out (very long story). Most thought I would shut shop... but I knew how to make dough and pizzas, so I did the job of the apprentices for the evening... we opened, we sold, we made money. Many of my employees looked at me like I was this crazy woman, covered in flour, hot and tired...but I remained in control... I knew every aspect of that business and could cover for all the staff. Therefore I was never vulnerable.

      That is the metaphor I will now use for my new internet marketing venture. I don't care if it takes me 6 months to get a website up... I will do it. I have been scared for too long by the technical side and it has inadvertently become my Achilles Heel. 2011 is about being successful for me... I have found just about every way of not achieving success... but... like Edison... I failed forwards each time, got up again...and now I am back for my hat trick!

      So yes, just do it... tenacity... and the ability to learn from all of your mistakes, is surely the way to succeed

    Hey,

    Thanks for the inspirational thread!

    I completely agree with you, many people do not succeed because all they ever do is dream and talk about who or what their going to do. You have to actually get out there and make things happen because no ones going to do anything for you trust when I say that.

    You really only have one way to go like, you said other people don't dream they work their asses off. Wait let me take that back, they might dream but that doesn't stop their work ethics. See, it's okay to dream as long as your still being productive and just sitting around talking.

    I know many people who dream day & night. I had to let them go to surround myself with people who simple make things happen. The go getters & not the people who sit back and wait for something to happen.

    Continue to work on building your list dude, because that will play a major role in how much money and true fan base you have. Your motivated opt in traffic is your most supportive traffic the kind you want. It just takes patience, hard work, creativity, & consistency & you can have a nice mailing list in no time!

    I love the quote dude! Very inspirational because I truly believe incdoing things one day at a time. You shouldn't get to far ahead of yourself.

    Thanks again!

    God bless,
    William Veasley

    This is so true, while it's good to dream and get inspired, without actually taking action based on that inspiration you'll get nowhere.

    It's just like the people who constantly wish and dream they'll hit it big with their lottery/lotto tickets. While it is possible, the chances of that happening are so infinitesimally small that they might as well be zero.

    Passively dreaming about things will not get you anything. It has to be translated into action before you can see results, and intuitively I think everyone knows it, but they're just too lazy to get off the couch to do something about it. It may even mean sacrificing your favorite tv shows or sleep, but this is the price of success.

    Even the athletes and celebrities who earn millions of dollars (that many of the dreamers identify with) work hard at what they do. Actors often spend 16 hours on a set 5 days a week - how many of us actually work at any kind of a job that requires that level of commitment? Professional athletes wake up at the crack of dawn and have grueling practice sessions for hours on end - how many of us have to do that?

    The issue here is that people love dreaming about the outcome, and this is the easy part. They don't want to think about or reflect on the hard work and sacrifices that are required to get there.

    Just as a few others have said... For me it comes down to one word and that is "action". Yes, there are many pieces to have in place as well but all will be pointless if there is no action.

    At the risk of being controversial... That is my main bug bear with the Law of Attraction approach... too many people rely on thought alone rather than the very important ending to the word 'attrACTION'.

    Happy 2011 everyone!

    Success is one of those things that just about everybody wants, but not nearly as many people do what it takes to achieve. It’s the expensive sports car, island home, or supermodel body that never goes any further than the thought that originated the idea.

    It’s the reason why so many people search for a “secret to success”; they want it, but they’re afraid of what it might take to get there. They’re looking for an easy path; a magic pill that will solve all their problems along the way and give them what they want with minimal effort.

    Well, I’ve got news for you.

    There is no magic pill. There is no easy path. There is no secret to success.

    You have to work, and you have to work hard.

    The sooner you can accept that, the sooner you can start walking the path to success.

    There is a simple reason that hard work is a requirement to success: Balance.

    Successful people live better because they work smarter. They seek out what they want and go for it.
