Alfonso - you just made my day!
      beautifully said.

I feel very much the same. I rarely lose motivation, simply because I know that my body and mind know what is best for me, and that I know where I am going. With the whole amazing possibilities and inner strength I posses- and this aspect is the same for all of us...but so often people forget about their true nature- being unstoppable!

get a good goal- something that is worth spending your time on, that you love doing, and go!

Awesome, iranklocalmarketing! Family is really important! I just realized that just now when I was riding home. Even though they're negative and don't share the same beliefs, family is family. In fact, consider it a challenge to maintain being positive despite family members throwing negativity on you. Once they're done and you stood your ground (maintaining composure and positivity), you'll get stronger and your positive state of mind will get firmer.

        It's really amazing!

Motivation goes hand in hand with personal development. We should be constantly working on bettering ourselves. Start out with reading at least 10 pages a day of a good motivation book like, The Magic Of Thinking Big.

I motivate myself by having pictures of what I will have near me so I can see them every day. This keeps me excited and keeps me motivated to work towards my goals.

I think the exact line goes something like this, "They say motivation doesn't last. Well neither does bathing. That's why we do it everyday."

Motivation is a matter of subjective thinking in each individual.

If you have a successful life, your motivations are of one kind.

If you have had a disastrous life, motivations are other things.

And, if you are in the middle, motivations could be different from the above two.

Adversity has taken a great token in my life.

I have to constantly keep doing things to keep physically, emotionally and mentally up straight. It is a challenge, it is very difficult.

Somethings I know I will never overcome, so I have had to learn to live with that agony.

Other things I might get to improve for the betterment and wellness of my community, friends, neighbors, family and for myself.

Set realistic goals, unrealistic ones discourage and frustrates people, trying to gain the impossible.

Newbies: 95% every year quit online marketing because they don't have the guts to keep going even on adversity. Many arrive at this fighting arena with unrealistic goals, many of them the input of scammers promising heaven in hell.

Get rich quick schemes are the greatest unmotivators that exist.

You have to write down what you want out of life and know that you must strive towards it. Like the movie: Get Rich or Die Trying

In all areas of your life strive for betterment, not perfection.

In reality, you really have to push yourself up and kick yourself to keep going.

It isn't easy if you have low energy.

Ask a friend to help you, pushing you to continue.

      Get away from negative people.

Napolean Hill state it great in his book: Think and Grow Rich: specially with his Talent Tank system.

      Read it!

      Sincerely,

      Antonios

Yeah, but what about if a loved one's negative? Like for example, I had an argument with my mother just now because she believes that internet marketing is hogwash. What do you do about people like this that are close to you and you live with them???

        Thanks.

I am facing the same situation too.I just tell my loved ones that I have seen other people success. As long you are convinced that you can do it and make something out of internet marketing. They will just keep quiet.Let their negative thought and comments become your source of motivation and drive. It will push you through. That is my point of view

I dont need videos or books.I just have the confidence in myself and believe in myself.

Thats all that is needed for someone to succeed, confidence. If your doubting yourself then you might as well give up because your mind is set to that "Im not sure" state.

            So,dont worry,be happy

Motivation and inspiration are definitely necessities in any area of your life. Especially when trying to make money online for the first time. Plus, nothing will work unless you take action. I listen to Dr. Bob Proctor for getting my head in the right place, great attitude, gratitude, etc. Check out Bob Proctor's Six Minutes to Success. It'll help.

Hey dogred. I also love Bob Proctor! He's definitely one of the self-help gurus that I respect because he explains the Law of Attraction artfully. He's been studying it for more than 50 years, no wonder why. Haha.

The first method is instilling a sense of fear in yourself. Since fear is one of the strongest motivators in the human psyche, think about what you could lose if you do not complete the task that you are not motivated to do. For instance, what could happen if you do not get a yearly medical checkup? What is the worse thing that could happen if you do not mow the lawn, wash the dishes, or study for an exam?

The second method is instilling a sense of desire for yourself. I think this is because greed is one of the other great motivators in the human psyche. For instance, if you go to college, then how much more income will you earn? If you start a business, when could you retire? What do you gain if you complete a task or project?

The next method is prioritizing your tasks. List each of your responsibilities on a sheet of paper and then sort them into three categories of "Must get done", "Should be completed", and "Nice to have". If you are like me, then I think you will find that just having a prioritized list of things to do makes me motivated. Otherwise, prioritizing your tasks will give you a greater incentive to complete the more important tasks first and give you a better sense of accomplishment with respects to what is truly important.

Next, reward yourself for each goal that you complete. No matter how short term a difficult goal may have been, a little incentive is sometimes all that people need to start or finish a project that they dread doing.

Finally, develop a support system to stay motivated. This is the same logic as having a workout buddy. Those of us who have someone who count on us are much more motivated with sticking to a schedule. Or just having a spouse or best friend cheering us on is motivation enough.

    Hi Vincent!

I am one of those people that does thinks to motivate myself every single day. Reading entrepreneurial magazines, putting up motivational posters around my office (yes I have them), and my goals written down and put all over the place are some of the many things I do to stay motivated.

MOTIVATION, Its probably the single greatest factor that determines how much success I am seeing in my business at any one point

As a chronic sufferer of major depression and anxiety, I have a regular struggle with motivation. After everything I've tried, the only thing that ever seems to work is the moments when I am working toward some goal whose purpose benefits someone or something besides myself. At first that may sound counter intuitive, but once trying it, the truth becomes stunningly evident. For me, and perhaps only for me, motivation can only come from stepping outside of my own wants and needs. Maybe it'll work for you... Can't hurt to try, right?

I read once about creating a vision board and then using affirmations with it. I have only dabbled in it but I think it works pretty well. So for example if your dream is to be able to retire from your day job and do IM full time, and live in a nice house, with a nice car and take nice holidays, cut out pictures of all those things and stick them on a board in your home office. That way you will bombard your mind with these images and thoughts and will remind it what your long term goal is.

I think once you find your "why" you shouldn't need further motivation. I cringe at the thought of my why, so when I feel a lazy moment coming on I simply remember my reason for doing IM and get chills. And my why is a BIG one. My previous situation was awful. Im "afraid" of goin back to my old living conditions.

I motivate myself every time I feel bored or frustrated in many different ways:
      - read a self-improvement book.
      - read some favorite quotes from great people.
      - meet up with my friends.
      - listen to music (I prefer rock, don't know why but it lifts me up from the mess)
      - watch a film (not a horror film LOL)
      - ...

And I have to admit that words have the power to change a person's life Like it did to me not long ago

Motivation has to be supported and nurtured on a daily basis, and a lot of it comes from the environment that you consistently surround yourself with.

There are no hard and fast rules here, and what you need to do is determine if the influences you're exposing yourself to on a daily basis are conducive to your self-development and motivation.

Books and videos are not an absolute necessity, but you must be doing something on a consistent basis to keep yourself motivated. Otherwise, you're going to inevitably lose your motivation sooner or later.

One doesn't need motivation if they love what they do. Motivations comes naturally. You should try that instead Vincent!

I am self motivated by simply liking what I do, business model, technics used or product I sell... People need to stop trying to get motivated only by the "Money" aspect. So many miss the boat right there... lose interest and then quit due to lack of motivation.
