Out of all of the highly effective strategies for success, I'd say this is definitely one of them!

Don't be:
  1. Afraid to action on something
  2. Afraid to tell people exactly what you think
  3. Afraid to try ANYTHING
  4. Afraid to be intellectually challenged - learn from it
  5. Afraid to get bad feedback - You'll get plenty

This strategy alone helps me tremendously. I'll absolutely try anything. I love telling people what I think, and then letting them tell me what they think. I know that being intellectually challenged makes me seek out more knowledge to grow and even though bad feedback doesn't feel good, it's great psychological fuel.

In all of the successful people I study, the ability to withstand massive amounts of discomfort if strong in their list of Power Traits!

I'm actually afraid of 4 and 5 but your post enlightened me. Now, I am willing to get any feedback and be intellectually challenged. It makes sense. I'm just afraid deep inside of what other people would think and the shame that I will experience when I get a bad feedback.

Thank you and I'm now braver to express myself. Adios!

I use to be really shy when I was a kid and couldn’t talk in public; I’d freeze and break out in a cold sweat, and couldn’t talk. It was terrible and I was scared to death!

It’s not so bad anymore but every now and then I get a surge of fear, but I ask myself what is the worst thing that could happen and it lessens and I feel better.

As time goes by and I learn more and interact more it fades. It takes practice and repetition to tackle any skill this is just one more skill to learn.
