That's what Richard Branson said. What do you think about what he said?

Knowing how to handle and run a business is pretty much the same for the business aspect, so yes I agree. If you can keep track of your assets and expenses and handle the cash flow they you should be able to run any business.

Well may be that's right. But maintaining the best quality among them all is not a easy task.i believe in perfection.perfectly doing one thing is more important than handling a lots of task.So I don't prefer a huge traffic which less down the quality.

Richard Branson can't handle 20 businesses.

If you have enough money to pay people to handle those businesses, while you invest your money and play armchair quarterback, that is a differing situation entirely.

When you are the salesman, the accountant, the IT person, the marketer, and on and on and on, it's very hard to devote yourself to more than one baby.

that is why Branson can handle more than 300 businesses. he is the brain, the heart of them, and trusts others to do the rest. If you feel that you need to do everything by yourself, you are not leveraging properly. Your brain power is wasted.
I was in a similar situation myself.

Running business is difficult especially if you don't have knowledge and expertise in this field. I agree with your point, if you can run 1 and it becomes successful then there is a possibility that you can do it in 20 of doing just what you did.

      HI there,

I'm Kind of new to warrior, but not knew to business. I currently run a very successful small business, and am trying to build up my second. I have a degree in writing and in marketing, which helped out tremendously when writing copy, designing my web site and driving traffic. SEO wasn't something that was taught when i was in school, however i have learned how valuable it has become, hence the start of the new business. If I can successfully promote a brick in mortar business, I thought well hey, I know how to write and market, maybe I can help others promote themselves. Within a weeks time I had more writing assignments than I could handle from fellow warriors, and in order to please everyone who gave me a chance, my brother (business partner) and I wrote for 16 hours a day. The bottom line is there is a key to becoming successful, its called working hard. Learn from your mistakes and you're more than halfway there. Do it once, you most certainly can do it again!

It is true in principle, but I think coming from somebody like that, there's an inherent understanding that you know enough to know where you lack in skill to uphold the upmost quality. This is when you bring in somebody else who does. So, back to yes, if you manage your time, assets, people, needs and solutions properly, it doesn't matter what business you are in. My last business was construction contracting. It's not much different than developing websites networks and software.

Perhaps Branson has the point, but the turning point is the budget and your capability of hiring multiple employee.
