    A lot.

I've turned down friendships. I've lost connection with old
family members. I spent lots, and lots of money to try and
experiment with new strategies, methods, and ideas...

and it's payed off in more ways you can imagine.

The sacrifices were worth it because I didn't damage my
personal life so much to the point where I have "no one"
and it's beyond repair -- but it was tough nonetheless.

I say "was" because, after 4-5 years that sacrifice slowed
down considerably. I'm making more money than I could
possibly imagine and, ironically, it has nothing to do with
    internet marketing.

My life is simpler because of my decision to go into Direct
Mail Marketing. Scaling is at least 10x easier to do. It's a
consistent business and the changes are few - if any.

It only took 3 years for me to "discover" it. Another year
to DO something with it. And although I'm still on a cool
journey, I can honestly say the TOUGHEST part has come
too pass but the challenges of now DEALING with more
    money has yet to come.

It's all a journey. And I embrace it. And to johny, don't
    give up hope.

Some people it takes as long as 1 year to have their
breakthrough, for others (like me) it can take up to 4
    years.

Don't be closed minded to other opportunities that will
come your way, but don't be so quick to buy into every
    new shiny object, too.

Learn to be discerning AND follow your gut instinct. It's
what I've done, and it'll work in your favor.

Have you succeeded if you give up important personal relationships? I personally define success as neither all financial, nor all social, its about creating a balance and having a quality of life that I enjoy without struggling financially.

If you manage your time well and get tasks done in specified time limits and not buy every product you see and stick to one task at a time you don't need to sacrifice much, maybe 2-3 hours every night for the next month until you will see some reasonable results.

Success is not in never failing but in rising every time we fall, I don't need to sacrifice something, what I want is to do the best I can and never quit until I achieve my goals.

Well I'm very new to this market here. But I can say that I know what sacrifice means. I mean i have a great Job and done so far a very good career, and there was a lot of sacrifice. Now I'm doing a course at the moment after my work. For my online Business, and there is sacrifice to. Thanks good my Wife supports me and she understand me!!! Because if you want to have success in your life. You need to do something for it. Especially at the beginning of your Journey, this is the fact. Yes you may have to spend less time with your friends. But believe me, than you actually know who are your real friends!! If they are your real friends they will support you and understand you!! It's very easy no Pain no Gain!!!

I sacrificed for my kids. I quit traveling and spending money on myself, for kids. I spent the last 24 years sacrificing much of myself for my kids. They are grown now and pretty much self sufficient and tend not to commit crimes. So I guess I was successful?

You know what though? I would not trade any of those self perceived sacrifices for the joys that replaced them. It was quite an adventure, raising two boys on my own. It was part of my life that I lived daily and each day was successful. It was really pretty cool. I highly recommend it.

    But we are talking monetarily......
Let me make a suggestion as a sworn in old goat, aside from caring for a sick relative, don't sacrifice anything in your life. That would be foolish. You only get one chance at this. If you do not do what you desire, now, then when will you? When you are too old and tired to want to do anything besides lounge? Perhaps when you are in heaven? Some people enjoy appearing to sacrifice, ask Mother Teresa. You don't have to be one of them. Enjoy the "entire ride", while you can, no negative sacrifices. I saw 100 hour work weeks in my past. I loved every minute of them, even though I suffered greatly at times.

I'll tell you what I think of success, concentrate on it too hard and it will kill "you". Perhaps not physically, but I have seen some of the nicest, smartest, good souled people turned into a**holes overnight because of money and "success". They couldn't handle it. It wasn't what they needed to make them happy. It was the fight getting there that they loved.

If you want to be happy, then you should not have to think of sacrifices and guilt. Those perceived sacrifices are things that just were not meant to be in our lives. No regrets, no looking back. Business is a major part of our adventure. An intermingling of who we are and everything that we do. Sacrifice? There is no such word when it comes to success, we just don't do some things as often.. but then again, at times, we get to do things more often.

Sacrifice is for me hard to define in my mind. I think there are people who are prepared to sacrifice everything they have, including their health, without knowing sometimes. I guess if one have some heavy ambition then they are prepared to do all what it takes to get there. Even doing illegal things

For me, I am not prepared to sacrifice everything such as my marriage or health or going to jail to succeed in anything. Not worth it. I think that is the reason I am not on the Forbes list. A man got to know his limitations.

Success is so important to me that I sacrifice whatever I have to.

I sacrifice having a social life. Last weekend was the first time I hung out with friends in I don't even know when.

I sacrifice time that could be spent with family. Pursuing the dream has me investing large amounts of time away from the. it looks like pretty soon I will be able to invest more and more time with them.

I sacrifice my time. Going against the norm and building a business of my own has not been particularly easy.

I sacrifice money. My wife would love if the money invested in my business was spent on other things.

WRONG! You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT, be truly successful unless you do something you truly like.

How much am I willing to sacrifice...

That is probably one of the most important questions we warriors have to ask ourselves. How much are you willing to put aside in order to get what you want? How BAD you want what you say you desire?

I want freedom. I want to live in my own place, not being maintained by absolutely anyone, and live under my own terms. I don't feel that passionate about it all the time, but it is definitively what I desire most in this stage of my life. For me, the most important thing in life, ever, is freedom.

What have I sacrificed? Social life. I don't have a social life. I don't see my few friends anymore, and I don't have a girlfriend. My ONLY kind-of-social interaction during the week (without counting relatives) is going to the hobby store to play Magic The Gathering on Saturdays. And... I'm ok with it

What I want to sacrifice? Entertainment. Sometimes I catch myself watching TV. Most of the times I catch myself watching videos on Youtube, browsing images on DeviantArt, doing mindless surfing, or looking for information that I don't really need. I'm glad I don't have Facebook and don't use Messenger or Twitter... and even then, it's not enough.

Entertainment and the instant gratification is gives is completely destructive... just like alcohol and drugs. And I know that unless I sacrifice it, I will not even make my first sale.

I also want to cut out sleeping hours to 7 hours a night. Duhhrr, I know, that sounds like nothing, but I don't want to compromise my health. Some people think they are tough and strong by just sleeping 4 hours a night, but they are only killing themselves. However, sleeping 9+ hours a day isn't that healthy either...

I'm willing to sacrifice Entertainment and instant gratification until I achieve what I desire? Yes I am... but just like trying to quit drinking or smoking... it is VERY easy to fall back.

What I'm not willing to sacrifice is exercising and healthy eating. Health is always first; if you don't have a healthy body, you will not have energy to complete the tasks you need to complete. I'm also not sacrificing my Magic Saturdays; they are necessary for my mental health.

Every day I realize more and more than only those that want success bad enough, and are willing to make great sacrifices and shed tears of blood for what they desire and believe in are the ones that make it.

I once heard a saying that went something like this: the most successful people on this Earth also suffered the most. I guess that statement will mean different things for different entrepreneurs. Success will always remain in the eyes of the beholder and it can come in many different shapes, forms, and sizes.

I was thinking MY SANITY as a jest.

I was on the 9-5 rat race a couple of years back, and i sacrifice my friends in order to have a new life and freedom. I left my old job and decided to become IM and create my own small business... never looked back. I still see them ocassionaly. Some of them are still on the 9-5 world, a few left for more greener pastures.
