Be sure!

You totally are an expert, in your own way.

You have to condition your mind to believe that, and then your work will reflect that.

At the same time, you must actually study your niche and be a "high information person" to have enough data to feel adept in your area.

Now a days, you don't have to wait for some certificate to tell you you're an expert, you position yourself as such.

Because we rely on SOCIAL PROOF to confirm the validity of something, a good way to use this is to put yourself out there A LOT with videos, posts and sometimes even controversy, to get people talking about you.

When people KNOW WHO YOU ARE, that's enough social proof right there.

Most experts get a ton of bad feedback and haters. This is how you know you're on the right track. It has been said that if you're extremely effective at something, 95% of people will criticize you for it.

You are the expert. Believe it and make it real.

    I agree. Who wants to follow someone who's not sure of themself? Not me.

    But when you brim with confidence and real world information it becomes like a magnetic force that's hard to resist.

    It's funny you know, in France there are many people posting youtube videos of them talking, claiming they are experts in a field but their voice is shaking, they look unsure and like begging for people to trust them because they obviously can't have that certainty within themselves. (Well I've come across some videos like that in English too but it's like more well-spread in France... lol) I'm not judging them or anything, just observing. And we can definitely say that confidence truly changes everything. I'm working on that.

      Good point you all have. Mindset is a big part of having your own business online. Get rid of "stinking thinking" and think "I'm the man, and I can" (ladies too)

      When I find myself starting to get negative, I stop and actually talk to myself, and tell myself everything I just thought was a lie, and that I'd better shape up. I always feel better after that. I know, I know, sounds a little crazy, but hey, most of in this business are a little on the crazy side!

    Isn't this the truth RC.

    Others sense your belief in yourself. You can't trick the universe. Your innermost feelings are mirrored on the outside. Everybody picks up on these feelings on a subconscious level.

    Believe you are an expert. You don't have to say it; show it.

      This is exactly right... I was just thinking but how do you really develop that belief????
      I think the answer is taking one project at a time to completion.

      For example... I say I build houses because I do part of the work and see that it all gets done to completion. The other day I was explaining to the customer what needed done and how, and she said... "Sounds like you know what to do so do it"
      In reality... the electrician and the carpenter will do most of it because I don't know how... but I do know what it needs to look like in the end and I have completed other house before so I can be the confident expert without knowing how to do it all.
      Hope what I am thinking is clear in my words here. HA.
