How to become a Personal Coach?

Hey guys,

I'm really interested in personal development and I'm thinking about whether it might be a good idea to get into personal coaching. With building affiliate sites, I somehow don't feel so great, because I don't feel like I'm bringing loads of value to the people, although I do my research and only provide content that I know is good and will help them solve their problems.

But with personal coaching I'd get direct feedback and also I'd know exactly what this persons problems are and whether or not I was able to solve them.

I think something that I'd benefit from is that I'm rather empathic. I find it rather easy to understand the decisions people make when they tell me about them. I don't mean that I could foresee the reasons or anything, I just understand it and can feel that it was right to make those decisions from their point of view. (Not a native speaker, so I'm struggling with the language a little bit )

A thing that would hinder me a bit, is that I'm a rather calm and maybe a bit of a shy person. I'm not someone who just bombards people with senseless flufftalk, I just can't do that. But I can listen well, which is probably quite a good thing, as I think that many people just need someone to talk to and hold them accountable.

So my question is: What qualities do I need to have to become a personal coach and how do I become one?

Being a Life Coach is definitely something great that you can do to help people achieve their maximum potential in life.

There are many Life Coaching certifications you can take.

But there are many Life Coaches that their only credentials they have is the results that they are getting in their life.

Good luck with your new path.

      Hi Bash,

If you may allow me. I believe it starts with the desire to help the person sincerely. I've experienced this many times when I get the chance to talk to a marketer who over-delivers and just helps you in any way he can, I can't help but admire the person.

And when you take it from the point of integrity, then there's nothing to hide and you don't need to fake it. Once people understand that you have their best interest in mind, they will listen :-)

Not to be a debby downer, but start with your friends around you, and make them see success... if you can't do that, you might need some more experience in your life. I used to want to be a life coach, joined some mentor circles etc, and everything was really good, and people loved my perspective, but ultimately I began to realize that even though I thought I had my head straight, I was still lightyears away from where I needed to be, and I actually need a life coach myself. Work in men's circles, give value and get value, don't try and make it your job and living until you have proven experience with people other than yourself.
