(I can't remember who posted this originally, but Thank You all the same.) Thought now may be a good time to share this with you. :-)

So true, I'm very grateful with this thread. Indeed we have a lot of things to be grateful for. Waking up every morning is one of the great things we need to be grateful.

My family (Mum, Dad, And Brothers)
      My health
      All my opportunity
      Everyone that has helped me
      Overcoming my challenges
The amazing gifts I've been given (Including musical ability)
      My life
      The beautiful World

      Thank You. :-)

Very good post... and you know what else... if you are a grateful person it makes you happier and the people around you happier.
I bet you can't stay in a bad mood and be grateful at the same time.

Absolutely. It's nice being happy and grateful for those very reasons. I enjoy sharing good emotions with people.

          Good feedback everyone.

And to answer Odahh's question, I sometimes feel “guilty” because I have so much.

However, one of the best ways to help people is to make something of yourself. For instance, when you're a successful entrepreneur, you can set up a Foundation to help people less fortunate than yourself.

(Or, as my Brother reminded me: You can help them right now, because you're wealthier.)

if your working on building an attitude of gratitude . these are a good place to start. We forget how much we have when we focus on what we do not have. As i like to point out. there is danger here . Tools like this are sometimes used to encourage guilt about how much you have. When so many others are lacking.

So be thankful that you are better off than most people in the world. But be happy we live in a world where those people are getting more and more opportunity to make their lives better. We live in amazing times . But your place in it is to want more stuff. buy buying stuff made around the world. you boost economies around the world by just a little. then provide the juice to people to earn their way out of poverty.

Be thankful for what you have and be tankful you can make the world a better place by getting more of what you want.

I agree 1000%. All too often it's easy to take for granted our blessings.

      Hey Ryan.

My pleasure. :-) Sometimes life's a wonderful game and it's cool just to be here part of it.

Awesome that you've decided to do a gratitude exercise. Some of these “techniques” are simple, but they're very powerful.

I think it has only been the past few days that i have really practiced gratitude and wonder. the combination of things i have studied came together. information from multiple sources.

My view right now. We are unlimited spiritual beings having a very limited physical experience. We are masters of limitations while in human form. This has led from me being very upset with my current limits. to being very thankful for them. without thing being as they where i wouldn't have launched on the quest to learn more the way i did.

I am grateful that i live in the time i do, at the time i do ,and where i do . More information is available to us now than was there for monks who spent a lifetime studying. We are not restricted to joining a monastary to following the spiritual path. Unlike only a few years ago most people won't laugh at you when you talk about spirituality.

Be grateful for everything that has happened in your life . IT has put you on the path of wanting better and eventual forced you to grow. Nothing happens to us that we are not strong enough to handle.

I wonder if My view of being grateful to everything that happend to you. Is even harder than taking responsibility for it all.

There are so many things to be grateful for that people take for granted.

    Grateful to breathe.
    Grateful to see.
    Grateful to hear.
    Grateful to feel.
    Grateful for being alive.
And this is just a warm up!

Some of these things are kind of simple but we'd be lost without them. (Like seeing and hearing.) Good contribution HugoG :-)

      Hey MrAngelov.

Something I learned is that after feeling down (because of "failure/setback/whatever"), you feel more grateful for everything you have when you're feeling like your old self again.

It's almost like life is helping you to grow and teaching you how to be grateful, loving, and compassionate.

      (Just an idea.)

This attitude of gratitude really does something to your brain activity. This is why so many self-development gurus (and most religions!) encourage you to do this.

Just wanted to give my thanks on this Post

I am thankful for having the health I have.
I am thankful for the air I am still able to breath.
I am thankful for the blessings that my family has received. For us to still love among our love ones. To be able to see my family get bigger and see the new generation of family members.

I love my life and I am very blessed with what I have.
I feel that if I forget or take advantage of what I was blessed with, I will lose it.

    I am very greatful

That's also what I think up to comfort myself.
    though I am not born from a rich family, my parents treat me well and lift me up to this grade;
    though I am not a boss with millions of money, I can still earn my livings with no hunger nor cold;
though I am not good looking,or that smart or that strong, I am still far away from ugly or silly or ill, and Thank God! I am still living, with family and friends.
