AfFORmations (not a typo!)

Tishwash just hinted at a brilliant secret in another thread - I wonder if I'm the last to know???

Obviously affirmations are positive statements meant to create change in your life, like "I'm rich" "I'm skinnny" or "I'm happy."

The problem with affirmations is sometimes your subconscious goes, "Yeah, right! You're not rich, you're not skinny and you're not happy!" And that's why they often don't work.

Afformations are questions that bypass the critical mind and go straight into the "that must be true" file in your head.

So instead of saying, "I'm rich," you ask yourself, "Why do I always have so much money?"

Instead of saying, "I'm skinny" or "I'm losing weight," you ask, "Why is it so easy for me to lose weight?"

And instead of saying, "I'm happy," you ask yourself, "Why am I always so happy?"

You don't have to try to answer these questions; just give them to yourself and let your mind go to work. This way we focus on what we DO want instead of what we don't want.

Brilliant!!!

I saw this the other day, too, and think it is a fantastic spin on conventional affirmations. Questions have always been an extremely powerful way to open up our minds to new ways of thinking. (At least "open-ended" questions.)

While I still believe in the power of conventional affirmations, but most of us WILL experience some initial "push-back" from our minds telling us that what we're saying isn't really true. Using questions or "afformations" is an excellent way to use the same principle without this inner struggle.

I'm definitely going to start using this strategy.

"Why do these methods always produce such powerful and tangible results."

(hint: ... I just did it. LOL)

    With Kind Regards,

    Tim

I've been using this for the past 2 days now, and I find myself making a statement and then remembering it's supposed to be a question! lol

But then I reword it to a question and ask it to myself 2 or 3 times, which has me wondering - do you suppose you're just supposed to say it once and let your subconsious work on it from there, or should you say it more than once?

Some that I've been using are,
Why is everything falling into place for me?
      Why am I so happy?
      Why am I so rich?
Why do I enjoy so much success?
Why is it so easy for me to get my work done quickly?

Do you have afformations you can share?
(Wait, that's not another afformation, that's a question for you ;-)

Noah St. John here, the inventor of Afformations.

This is my first post on WarriorForum. I'm delighted you are enjoying Afformations and seeing the benefits already.

To answer dawnday's question, you should repeat your Afformations as much as possible during the day, because that will change the neural pathways in your brain from disempowering beliefs to empowering ones.

I also wanted to offer you all a gift, which is a free iAfform Audio at

        iAfform.com

iAfform Audios change your subconscious thought patterns while you're busy doing other things. You can have them playing while you work, eat, exercise, drive - even while you sleep. I'm listening to mine while I write you this.

Hope this helps you, too. Let me know how I can add value to the Afformations discussion.

        Keep afforming,
        ~Noah St. John

I learned about this concept recently myself.

It's a super creative way to change your vibration. Asking why moves your energy up as it causes you to look for the good in things.

Thanks for sharing this. I was reading in another thread someone who was using this method and I didn't know what she meant by it until now.

I can see the power in this method. Really great stuff. Going to revise my morning routine now to include these afformations.

Thanks, Noah. I picked up the success package on your website and am ordering your book as well. (The first three chapters that you gave away for free were great!)

I just started listening a few days ago and can already tell a difference in my thoughts and attitudes. This is a brilliant program. I will definitely keep you posted on the results.

I am trying afformations from the past few days. I have even made a program which flashes these afformations for me on screen while I am busy doing some other work. The program is working in background currently. If anyone wants it then I have shared this program with warriors free. Read details here - http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...e-program.html

It's amazing how affirmation techniques are advancing and how you're using technology to raise the bar. I downloaded your afformation program and it's playing in the background on my computer while I type this.

Do you or will you be offering this program focusing on specific issues or habits one wants to gain or eliminate, for example ...

      Afformations for:

      Increasing Creativity?
      Stopping Procrastination?
      Increasing Wealth?
      Eliminating Negative Thinking?
      Boosting Self-Esteem?

Or other popular habits of the day people want to experience or get rid of?

Yes, I plan to do that. The program I created is just a basic one for starters. Even I am getting my feet wet in this new area. Maybe the afformations in the program are not the best, but it is a start. I hope to improve further from here.

Along the way I need the support and feedback of other people to help me improve the quality of afformations and the program. For this reason, I don't mind sharing this program free of cost with as many people as possible.

At the same time, I suggest that you only play the afformation program for a particular habit or goal for few days exclusively as it is not effective to bombard the mind with dozens of afformations on different topics. So, for this week focus on productivity afformations and when you are satisfied with the results you got, move on to next thing.

Keep in mind that this is just my humble opinion and recommendation and I want to know what Noah thinks about this.
