Need way more specifics about what you are trying to do. What is your business? What kind of content do you publish? Do you sell anything or do you just want ad income?

Not sure what exactly you mean. But, in case you use any free platform such as blogger, there is always a risk of your blog being taken down without a clue.

I feel both are helpful but posed with a choice I'd go with a blog.

Blogs are content central for visitors: 1 stop shopping for people who want to learn more about you. Videos, podcasts, articles and reviews, all can be uploaded to your blog quickly. Websites are more static in nature.

I use both Joomla! websites and WordPress blogs. My recommendation is that you use a WordPress blog to generate your Adsense and affiliate income.

Having said this, your blog or website is a direct portrayal of yourself. If you have a nice looking blog which offers valuable content to your niche market, then you will gain followers who will revisit your blog, click your Adsense links, and purchase your offers.

Therefore, it is important that you both plan the layout of your blog so that it reflects your personal brand image, as well as your niche. This goes for both design and content.

One recommendation that I do have regarding the design of your WordPress blog is that you take a look at "headwaythemes (dot) com. They offer some of the most robust WordPress designs and layouts on the market.

    Hopefully this helps.

      7eclair,

Like some other people have mentioned, it all depends on what you're shooting for.

AdSense and Affiliate as your main source of income? A blog is pretty easy. I am an Affiliate Marketer. I use WordPress for everything.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "How many pages is alouted by Google" but if you're asking "How many pages are allowed by Google for a webmaster" the answer is infinity.

You can have the largest website on the planet. Assuming you aren't doing anything against Google's algorithm, you will get indexed and Google will get around to indexing all the pages you want it to index.

      Does that help?

      Cheers,
      Nick

Hi Nick. A new website with 25.000 pages gets banned from Google because of duplication and search engine spiders finds very difficult to read the website.
Previous Google used to aloud their clients to createup to 25,000 pages for their websites.

A blog can have unlimited articles and thats why I am asking this question.

P.S. I am not talking for how much listings you can index.

          Hey 7eclair,

Think about this from Google's perspective and you can usually figure out the answers to your own questions.

A website which pops up suddenly that has 25,000 pages is a terrible way to promote and rank a site. That much content is a bit ridiculous and the ONLY way it would look natural is if the content grew over time from different IP's and the actual content was unique.

What kind of website are you making where you need 25,000 pages? An Affiliate blog needs like...one page in order to turn profit. I think it'd be better to have 25,000 affiliate blogs instead of one site that has 25,000 pages.

          Cheers,
          Nick

I understand Nick, but I wanted to take a better icon from people who are website owners or bloggers, to tell me their opinion, cause I don't believe that websites are stupid way I would never create 25.000 pages but why not 500 hundred? Anyway I would like to hear more about.

            Thank you.

              7eclair,

500 would be fine. Again, so long as you aren't doing anything shady or anything that looks like you're trying to dupe the search engines, you are in the clear. If you have an awesome idea for a website and it turns out to be 500 pages, awesome! Don't forget the SEO.

It's kind of hard to compare a website with a blog because technically a blog is a TYPE of website.

You can buy a domain name and load the blog directly into it. You have the benefit of your own domain...but it is easy to use like a blog.

A website would require you to actually write a website or find some other way of creating the pages.

From my personal experience, a blog is much easier to use, much easier to optimize with SEO, much easier to update and manage the content, and it's still dynamic enough to allow you to make multiple income streams.

You could have affiliate blogs, adsense blogs, blogs meant to build email lists, etc.

There are a lot of cool ways to go about it, but to directly give you my opinion of "Website VS Blog" I would say blog for easiness and dynamic capability.

              I hope that helps!

              Cheers to your success,
              Nick

For adsense income, blogging would be good. However, you must have an independent blog website. Don't use blogger or whatever. If you want to do affiliate marketing, the best would be building a list. It all depends on how you want to do internet marketing. Just that you have got to have the focus.

It depends. Your website might look a little like a blog. A blog can create more of a platform to engage with other people in the same niche.

As a beginner, a blog will be better for you because a website will have static pages and you ,may not be capable of providing fresh content that will enable it remain ranked.

But with a blog, you may be surprised that your visitor will begin to add content for you depending on the subject and how interactive you want it to be.

For me,nothing is more profitable than minisites.

it really depends on what you're using a website or blog for. Are you using a website to brand a business? Do you want to blog because you have something you want to sure to the rest of the world? If you make you're website, what content do you have to offer that'll be long lasting?

These are just a few things to consider really. Trust me, there's lots more!
