Meditate Your Way To Success

If you're like most people, you separate your business and your personal life. You go to work or run a business, come home to your family and friends, and then relax. The moments of joy in your life are probably not associated with your business, and when they are, it's an unusual occurrence.

Meditation for business success may seem cheesy or too new-age for many people to venture into it, but if you are open-minded and willing to try it, you can benefit enormously from it.

Practicing meditation helps improve your ability to relax and calm down, center you and ground you, give you a renewed sense of purpose, and more. Some studies have even found that long-term meditation can help increase your IQ and more.

The first step in career success is finding a career that satisfies your needs. If you don't already know what career will make you happy, meditation will help you find it. The practice helps you get in touch with your inner self and gives you the peace of mind and healthy attitude that will encourage you to acknowledge how you really feel about a particular career choice.

Once you have chosen a career or line of business, meditation can help you improve your mental clarity and focus, so that you can obtain the highest height.

After you have your ideal business, meditation gives you a way to live perfectly in every moment. Even when you are stressed or overwhelmed, you can use the techniques you learn in meditation to help yourself stay calm and grounded.

If these career success benefits sound like something worth practicing meditation to obtain, you can start it today! The great thing about meditation is that you don't need to get any fancy equipment or take lessons to do well. You can teach yourself and practice any time you want to.

To start meditating, find a calm and quiet place where you won't be interrupted. (Once you are experienced enough, you can meditate in even noisy environments, but for the beginner, a calm environment is best.) Then sit in a comfortable, relaxed pose and close your eyes. Allow yourself to become in tune with your thoughts and breathing, regulating them. When you have a thought, acknowledge it and then let it go as you try to get a clear mind. Your breathing should be at a regular pace - for example, breathe in for four beats and then breathe out for four beats. Set a length of time to do this - fifteen minutes is a good length of time to start with, as it won't take up too much time but will allow you to find a peaceful spot in your mind without being disturbed too soon.

Once you have practiced meditation, you will notice the benefits as you calm down. You can consciously use it in your everyday work life, too. If you get too stressed, just breathe regularly and strive to attain that same grounded, calm feeling that you get when meditating.
Meditation can be a great way to enhance your success if you're willing to give it a try!

Thanks for the great article, liveforeverfoods. I'm a Buddhist and I also practice meditation regularly. It gives me the ability to be present and relax, especially in the difficult situation.

I do agree to what ever you said in this thread, we also do meditation, yoga, it has become a part of our daily life like you brush your teeth or take a bath or eat food in the same way without missing we do it. We are into Art Of Living and it is not connected to any religion or cast , they teach us breathing exercise. People live their life without knowing they are breathing they recognize only when a good smell or a bad smell comes or when oxygen is less but here we come to know that we are breathing full day, it does not only helps to improve your IQ or in your business it also helps to improve your health, you may be suffering from any disease it will be cured and you will get more and more strength.People working in the office feel tired after coming back to home, here if you do this you will still feel fresh and will be able to enjoy with your family. and we have experienced these things in our life, you will definitely forget about your worries and learn to enjoy every bit of your life and be in present moment.

(Your breathing should be at a regular pace - for example, breathe in for four beats and then breathe out for four beats)
According to me it should be breathe in for four beats and then breath out for 6 beats, breathing out should be longer then breathing in.

I read your whole article at your web site at liveforeverfoods and I can understand your focus is on foods to stop or reverse old-age,and unless I missed it, did you write about proteins or was it vegetable proteins? After intense research, I found that stopping or even reversing old age highly depends on human growth hormone levels or HGH released by our pituary gland and declines as we age. 3 things will sky rocket your HGH levels and generate brand new healthy cells:

    1) Protein (not animal kind which contains Fat)
    2) Exercise (especially resistance)
    3) Sleep (Deep phase)

I would think you are already aware of this, but for the record.

As for meditation, I am not involved enough. Still, Great post!

When I meditate daily, I can accept my feelings with greater ease.

When I don't, I resist my feelings. This leads to suffering and the root of this suffering is non-acceptance because I'm not consistently practicing meditation.

Great reminder. Glad that I meditated for about 40 minutes today

"Let the meditating mind expand, like the face of the waxing moon." Atisa Dipankara Shrijnana (980-1054)

You can meditate your way to all kinds of success, whether it's a personal or business kind of success you are after.

A regular meditation practice will definitely allow your mind to organize and stabilize itself, and this will allow you to gain peace, happiness, clarity, and tranquility.

    Enjoy your peace of mind

Clearing your mind helps to erase the negative emotions and feelings that cripple your focus and enthusiasm. I meditate daily, as well as pray. It's a fantastic practice, especially when times in your life are tough, and even more-so if you tend to worry too much about things.

Finding time is the hard thing. When you work full time and commute etc, and then have a lotta other things you need to do -- I guess its a matter of priorities - right? I find it hard to let go and focus enough too. Thing is - those that do it swear by it. I think I'll have to try. Is five minutes enough to start? (not joking)!

      Google "One Minute Meditation" and
"Ten Zen Seconds" if a min is to long for you.

If you can't spare 10 seconds of daily practice,
      try " One Moment Meditation".

With practice you will soon be up to 20 minutes
      once or twice daily.

Also... Tai Chi is a great moving meditation!

      Cheers,
      Steve
