Time management tools

Hi, I am lost at what to use as a time management. The computer calendars are okay, but I am also away from the computer, and do not have a fancy phone, it does have a calendar but it is the small phones .

I have been also looking at a 24 hour planner but cannot find one that is nice. peprhaps that I can do online and then print to take with me, but then of I need to change need to reprint.
At the end I end up not using it.
I need something that it is easy to change, with kids plans can change often,.

I would love to hear what you use and see if I can find any ideas for myself.

Thank you
Andrea

I think if you prioritize and put first the most important things to do first and then the rest, you will have time for a lot of thing, but you need to stick with the plan

There is some software called "The Action Machine" that is really good. Just do quick search for it. Very cheap. At the end of the day you can print out what you did for the day to see who much "real" time you spend on your online efforts.

Lately I've just been using a blank spiral bound, college-ruled notebook. On Monday I write down what I want to accomplish for the week, each morning I write down what I want to accomplish for the day - and if I don't make it I roll the task over to the next day/week.

It's that simple. If you make it too complicated you can waste time and procrastinate by getting organized. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable, but get to work!

      Cheers,
      Stephen

        I like your approach Stephen.

I particularly align with the fact that if you make it too complicated, you can seriously waste some time!

Since you'll be away from the computer a fair amount, I don't think software is necessary or even helpful in your case.

What I'd recommend is something old school that can be used both at and away from the computer. A simple notebook is required, and a physical egg timer of some sort. The instructions for this method (the Pomodoro technique) can be found free here -

I lok at all teh options and I like Stephen suggestion of the notebook and the Pomodoro method is also quite useful. I started with a notebook butwill ocnsidering doing the POmodoro also since I like the use of a timer.

From what I looked at other methods suggested here yes, you can use some of tehm for project management like the Time Doctor or the Remmeber the mik. This was my impression but I di dnot spend much time looking at it .
