Am I missing something?

I have been into IM field for last 3 years.
Now I dont know what to call myself besides lazy, but I haven't even reached a mark of 200$ per month, let alone leave 1K mark.
Now I see the posts by newbies making 1000$ in 10 days or making their first 500$ in a month.
I always wonder what all have I missed in these years?
I am 25 and strongly in need to get settled because it hurts to take money from your parents at this age.
I need to concentrate on one plan.
But whenever I see all the success stories I take pity on myself.
So thought I will share it here because I seriously want to know what I have been missing in earning bucks online.
Warriors... I need that warrior mindset.

You are not alone. I have been in IM for 5 years. first two years i earn nothing. You can promote high ticket product to reach >1k/month. You can purchase some IM course to learn from Expert.

I think it depends on the training you have.

I just completed my third month and am making a profit...growing steadily.

To clarify, that is money EARNED, not paid out. A lot of my earnings are affiliate commissions which takes time to receive.

I was suffering from information overload, (still struggle slightly with it) until I got a good coach and mentor who taught me to get focused and stay on track to the task/project at hand.

    Hope to encourage you.

I want to tell you that you aren't alone.

One truth is that in any one success story, there are 5 others that didn't succeed and such are not usually talked about.

What the successful few do and always do is to find a service or product they can offer to people in exchange for money.

As a beginner, will it not be right for you to look inside and see if you have some hidden talent you are yet to fully harness for profit taking?

Being in IM for 3 years is enough for you to have gotten some basic knowledge of the workings of the IM industry.

I think you may also be a victim of information overload.

Pick out just one or two IM methods and try to master all that you should about them and focus on making them work.

If you still don' get results, then look for a mentor who will readily hold you by the hand and put your through.

Success is closer to you than you might be thinking at the moment.

      All the best!

Well what are you doing, what are your goals, what have you already tried?

I believe success can be achieved by anybody. The site in your signature, probably makes the same amount as one of my skin care sites, that I spend less than 10 minutes a week maintaining. How many do you have, how much are you currently making with it and how much traffic comes from search engines?

If you learn some SEO and basic marketing, especially if you offer a service, you can expect to start a thread telling people how you made $1,000 in a month, once you implement a few basic things.

Thank you for your support warriors.
Yes I am suffering from information overload.
Also it is getting difficult for me stick to one thing at a time.
I visit WF for some knowledge of promotion and SEO of my websites and end up reading the success threads, yes it is true behind every success story there are 5 unsuccessful ones but I think it's been 3 years and I am at such an age I can not afford to be unsuccessful.. hehe..

Keep the reply(s) coming, thank you!!

I've finely got focused after 2 years of information overload... I'm going to tell you exactly what I've seen in the past and what I've done recently. I'll help you in 4 steps.

Get a keyword rich domain (if you don't have one). Don't pay an arm and a leg for it. Just add info at the end (Or some other minor change) if the one you want is taken.

Put up a website with at least 3 posts or articles as well as up to three things your trying to sell/market... the more the better on quality content (I just used wordpress for my first time recently and LOVED IT... after some hassle..).

Build a List (You don't even have to pay monthly for a fancy service while you build it if you're willing to do some extra work).

Drive organic traffic to site from google. Get links from:
Blog comments, profile links, guest posting, etc (the more higher quality links, the better... don't think about it too hard).

That was four steps. After that, continuously look to improve that one website until you perfect it. After that, rinse and repeat. Just focus on what I just said, or any other ONE strategy you learned in the past (Which mostly likely goes into detail of what I just said). Stop Reading. Just do it! What have you got to loose except a hosting fee and a yearly domain cost?

      Keep on it!

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I recommend taking a nuts & bolts approach to your successes so far, analyzing what has worked in order to make the money you're making and what hasn't worked. The fact that you're earning money is a positive; we just need to put some more zeroes behind that. :-) The two biggest areas I'd consider are your traffic and conversions. You didn't mention if you're earning that $200/month with affiliate commissions, Adsense sites, offline consulting (raise your rates!), CPA or something else...? Do you have one site or multiple sites?

Also, don't give up right when you're on the verge of something great. There might be one or two tweaks that add a zero to your month.

Do yourself a favor and go actually buy a site with some revenue that is proven and positive. If you don't have the capital, start small and start saving. You have to have money to make money man. Its tough to make money out of nothing but hard work in an overpopulated field of many people trying to do the same

Be careful about believing everything you read regarding how much income people are making. There is a lot of hype going on and newbies are buying into it - I know from experience.

Find someone in the area of your interest who others will verify is successful AND trustworthy, and follow his or her teaching. They may even be willing to mentor you.

Be careful about following this person and that person just because they throw a bunch of hype your way. Also, don't buy into every course, ebook or program that comes along - much of that is hype and rehashed versions of someone else's work.

I can't even begin to tell you how much money I've spent over the last two years only to find out the one person I should have followed, I did not. Ouch!

Good luck to you - I wish you the best in your online career.

No disrespect, but the level of English language is awful from many Warriors. If you are going to sell to English speakers then I would advise you to brush up on those English Language skills. Honestly, this is one of the main problems that I see.
