I gave the Warrior Forum 30 bucks about two years ago.

I remember excactly where I was. I was working the overnight shift at a fancy hotel in New York City. All I had to all night, besides watching rich drunk people spilling their expensive drinks on the floor. The hotel managemtn blocked Facebook and YouTube off of the front desk computers, so I had to discover the actual Internet all over again.*

The year before, I was waiting tables out in California and I had a pal named John. John was a good guy in his 40s. He had lived tough life, and had been waiting tables and acting in small little non union short films and such. John also had some crooked teeth and he was super sensitive about it. He had a hard time smiling. One day John ask me to come out with him on a cigarette break. I'll never forget that day. He told me he wasnt coming back into work ever again. I tried to convince him to stay, that he needed this job. He told me he'd been working with a pal for 3 months on the internet and that he had just received a 10,000 deposit. His hard work had finally paid off. I knew he wasn't lying because he showed me his account balance on his cell phone and he was holding back tears and telling me he was finally going to fix his teeth. We talked for a little while but I really hardly remember the details. It was all so foreign to me. All I remember hearing him say was "click bank."*

So fast forward back to New York, over a year after that moment. I had not had Johns new number and didn't know his last name so we just fell out of touch. I was standing behind this computer and just had an epiphany. In order to be on the other side of this desk. I simply needed to make cash. I was willing to work hard, obviously I was on my feet at 3 am and struggling for a ****ty 500 bucks a week in NYC. I thought back to that moment I had with John and just typed the words click bank into google and immediately saw a whole new world. Through speaking with some people in the scene I heard about the Warrior Forum and immediately wanted to cut through all the bs and get right down to it. I spent the money to join the War Room. I figured it would give me access to some "special" info and programs.

To make what can be a very long story short, that was a couple years ago and in between then and now my family had been going through a lot of extremely tough and dark times, I had bounced around from job to job. I even spent 6 months in Texas selling home security systems door to door. I ended up taking all of the knowledge I had learned and at 23 years old, last October 2010 I launched my own company where I do loans for businesses. I live happily Brooklyn NY and am doing pretty decent money wise.*

But that 30 bucks...

I end my work day at about 5 or 6pm. Which means theres a whole block of time I can spend on IM. I need to crush it. That's where you come in. Now that my nerves have finally calmed down and I can actually focus. It's time to tackle the keyboard and start making some great money online. I've researched people like Amish Shah, Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Zac Johnson. It's all good but its almost like they are just promoting eachothers expensive products and email blasting and getting everyone excited about the IM dream.*I need to know who's seriously making money. I'm asking you all of help. Please embrace me into your community. I have some ideas for money making stuff, including a joint venture where you can get leads to my business loan website and ill pay you a commission for the loans I close. But I want to learn it all. I wanna make money selling your stuff too!*

I'm a true underdog. Been working since I'm 12. And I'm hungry. I want to buy my mom a house and take her out of section 8 and welfare. I want to give a stable life to my future kids and be the father I never had.*

So hello Warriors.*
I look forward to learning with you.
If you have any knowledge or info to throw my way, just reply or pm me.*

Thank You So Much For Reading.*
I appreciate it more than you know!

This a great story. Very compelling. You can probably become a copywriter.

You should go to the hotel you and your friend John worked, find out his full details and look for him. Chances are he belongs to this forum. You could find him on Facebook or Twitter.

If you can work with him personally you will go directly where money is being made so you won't fall prey to the several people trying to sell the internet marketing dream.

    That's what I would do.

      Thanks Alex,

I dont know anything about John aside from what he looks like... and that his name is John. So im pretty sure unless I meet him at a convention in the future that we are ou of eachother's lives.

That being said. I really would like to connect with people who are in this for real. Maye not those making a BILLION DOLLARS but those are are making at least 1,000 a week.

Are there any posts, systems, or products that you can throw my way?

I feel like with most of this stuff, if you give it a REAL SHOT, it'll produce some return. Its easy to make at least a few bucks here and there.

I read your story and also think you could become a copywriter.

I am not making 1000/week, but I have been at it for 3 months and making real progress. Definitely invest in a coach, not just tidbits people throw you.

I wish you all the best....you have some wonderful goals, and you'll make it.

Thanks! About the coaching thing, do you have any recommendations? I joined ppccoach at one point. It was a membership site. Or are you talking more one on one?

Youve been working for a few months now? What strategies are you using? Ppc? Articles? Seo? List building?

        List building, affiliate marketing, blogging

Mainly stick with free methods right now as I learn and get a budget for more.

You could do a membership site...many offer a Q&A call where you ask questions once a week, which can be a great value.

PM me if you want the name of who I am working with, but not sure he is taking any more students right now.

I was really moved by the story about your workmate and the way you conveyed it. It's really inspiring to here those kind of underdog stories.

Hopefully he went on to great success, and you do too.

I know there are all different kinds of milestones in IM, your first sale, first big launch etc, but I think the day I see enough money coming into my account to know that I can leave my job for good will be one of the best days of my life. Imagining that feeling is what inspires me more than anything.

Awesome story! You have the hunger and obviously have the drive to make some serious changes in your life. You found the right place for interacting in healthy discussions with people who know what they are doing.

I know that many people make lots and lots of money promoting affiliate products, but its never been for me personally. I promote products that I own or create. And it works really well for me. I am always open to new ideas for making money, but I also like to stick to the basics.

I haven't messed with clickbank too much although I know quite a bit about it. And I can tell you that lists work pretty well with affiliate promotion. Sounds like you've made a decent client contact list. And with that combined with Facebook and Twitter, you could make some serious cash. Although residual cash is more important in the long run, making some capital pretty fast is awesome too.

I wish you well and hope you are successful so that we can read some more great stories from you very soon! Good luck! Dave

Thanks! I can certainly see myself creating products of some sort later on, when i the "expert" about something. Just curious, you say that affiliate marketing wasn't really for you but you're making money selling your own products? Im assuming those products arent related to affiliate marketing then are they?

Amazing story man. There's just so many things that you can explore online as an internet marketer, and you learn best from your own experience. I wish you all the best and look around the forum. I have a similar story to yours, but I just bought a few wsos and applied some of the techniques on them my way until I started making money online as well. It feels great doing all of this and I would never change it for the world. Again, good luck to you !

Hmm.. The one wso which is mostly responsible for me making money was from this guy Mark here. I just followed what he said and it worked for me. And I'd also recommend wso's by TimG. I'm not a member for long though, so I'm sure that there are other cool wso's that are worth checking out. That's coming from my own personal experience.

        All the best to you!

Thanks for the inspiration. I do have a few ideas but because I am so busy during the day running my other business it imortant for me to be able to buy some solid info so I have a more direct plan of action.

Could not agree more. Reading those WSO titles should be the first alert on your "bull****-meter".

ahhh waiting on tables I remember those days vaguely.
Fast forwards I am making decent money online/offline with no qualifications.

Drive + a strategy is what you need. An earlier poster mentioned reading up on free stuff and I would recommend that as well. Enough on this forum to get you going towards understanding terminology and what is a business acumen for online marketing.

Hopefully that way you will hit more successes then failures

With your drive I am sure you will be successful.

I agree with Brett about being careful about spending money on products. I am not saying that all products are bad, but personally I wasted a lot of money on products while there are a ton of free products and info on this site that are much more useful.

I loved your story man. I've been in IM only since last July, looking here and there. I guess that's the only way to get to know the IM world, reading posts, understanding how things move, doing your research. You might want to take a look at Acme Phone Leads, that's a very good company that I have found just launched recently. They are pretty generous and have a long term vision, which is important.
Good luck, and if you find something really cool please let me know!

Yup, your writing is pretty good. Cut those paragraphs in to 3 parts or more to make it more readable, and you'd be doing pretty good as a copywriter.
