What keeps you going?

I think it will be inspirational to hear success stories from time to time, especially from warriors who have made it.

Have you ever gave your all - time, effort, money - only to receive a paltry sum in return? Did you quit your job and get people - some closest to you - throwing discouraging words your way? Have you ever felt like throwing in the towel?

What keeps you going?

What keeps your fire burning despite the harshest winds?

Well I got some discouragements from my family members from time to time but they stopped when my first check arrived.

It wasn't a big sum but a few hundred dollars was good enough to get me motivated and move on with this business. I started blogging and learning from those who have succeeded and I have seen my own blog grow quite a bit. You start to gain readership, make friends and get your name into the community. People start buying ads from you... Thats where you get the strength to move on!

Surprisingly I've never received any discouragement from anyone. I'm lucky that my family and friends were all very supportive. They believed in me and I believed in myself.

I give up my job before because I see opportunities online. When Paypal decide to include my country to accept payment it become a big factor to really put my effort to do business alone. Also, I'm a family man and I need to support my family. My family is my source of courage to deal with up and down economy.

I really believe in my self that I can do it that is why I still stand whatever problems that comes. With the support of my wife and believe in me when I started, I started to come up with great ideas. Literally focus on my own problem and cope it gives me another business opportunity. Even there are big job opportunities, I still rejected them and focus on thinking strategies to build my online business. Sometimes life tease you that being emplyed means monthly income but the truth is, it's just a temporary solution to monthly expenses. I'm also fortunate that I know programming and some technical stuff plus partial business management and sales that is why I know how to handle business problems. I just don't give up.

There was TONS of negativity, anxiety, depression, violance, ignorance... took me years of working very hard at shutting off the "negative tape" in my head, but I did it and I know life can be beautiful, so I keep going!

Great Question. I think the most prominent thing that keeps me going is my faith. I do believe that there is a force that's all powerful and all knowing that if we are tuned in will guide our activities. I also believe that the pictures we are creating on the inside will determine what shows up on the outside. So I have choosen to select the internal pictures as my source of reference. Actually This is my real world.

The most important thing which keeps me going is me. For one reason or another I haven't had much support from other people.

However I've always believed in what I'm doing and that's the most important thing for me. Even if the whole World disagreed with me I'd keep striving on because I know what I'm doing is a good thing. Many people are ignorant. Many people are jealous. Many people won't listen to you because of stereotypes. Many people will hear one thing and assume something completely false.

But at the end of the day, if you know who you are and what you're all about, and if what you're doing is something more important than yourself, you can take all that in your stride and leave something great behind before you die.

What keeps me going is the feeling that I'm so close to breaking through that if I give up now I would be throwing everything away. They say most people give up when they are right around the corner from success. I guess you could call it blind faith and knowing that if you do something long enough you begin to make your own good luck!

Like everyone else said, by believing in my self. No one thought I could do what I have achieved, but my motivation was proving them wrong and I did just that. Now in proving to them that I could do it, they now support me

It was no easy ride though, took a lot of time and hard work.

By sticking to what I wanted I achieved it, eventually.

I don't wanna sound pompous but discouraging words or demoralizing attitude doesn't effect me in my professional life. I think except for the people who are really close to you, other people are not worth paying attention to as far as motivation is concerned. I have found that more than half of the time people react on the basis of the unresolved emotions in their heart like jealousy, insecurity or a bad experience they had in the past.

At the end of the day, every person is different and we should make our own path. But if you have people who depend on you for financial support, then I think their opinion should matter too.

the universe works in mysterious ways, the bigger your goal the harder you will be tested. if what you want is to become something much greater than most people ever expected from you, than you will get there only after you have been tested by them all.

Yes, my partner when I decided, after being sacked from a job I really disliked, was extremely antagonistic about my starting in IM. In fact, he went so far as to not speak to me for days, when he did speak it wasn't pleasant (cannot print what he would say *censored* plus too negative to want to go into.

Friends where not overally supportive either, though some were 'well meaning' but felt it was just the 'lucky' chosen few, who made it in IM.

I followed my dream, shut my ears, literally with headphones at times, to my partners nastiness and kept working, focused and allowed nothing to stop me or stand in my way.

I agree with the Rich Villian, the Universe is mysterious, my goal is very big and I have been well and truly tested in all areas. Both personally and on the technical side of IM. But I have faced all the challenges, stayed positive and made it through a stronger and more determined person.

I love what I do and I think that is the 'secret' to achieving success. Being able to stay on course no matter what. I would say to anyone 'follow your passion' that will keep you on course.

This stuff works. Everyday someone is bursting through the bubble of mediocrity to financial freedom. Whenever I start to get frustrated or disappointed with my results, something positive always seems to happen, as if to provide an indicator of what could be if I don't quit.

It may come in the form of an unexpected sale or comment on any one of my blogs. Sometimes it may come from an unexpected email correspondence or an ebook that I've decided to read for the third or fourth time, but it always comes.

The number one motivating factor is to take care of my family. Fighting for table scraps in the corporate world is not living, especially when it can all be taken away from you in an instant. I don't mean to sound conceited or bragadocious, but I know I can do this and when my business takes a step forward, that's all the proof I need.

If you know you can do this, then I know you can do this. So just keep trucking, cause that's all it takes. A little bit of movement towards your goal each day and before you know it, it will seem like the struggle was a million years ago.

    Hello Omari Taylor Here,

To be successful online you need a big "Why!" The reason you're doing what you're doing and will be able to press on through any obstacles.

What has kept me going until I starting making money online is my goal buy my dream home and car. An really once the ball starts rolling thing really start to happen. As long as you continue to stay consistent and persistent. One thing that people do is once they get some results they slow down or go on vacation. Don't do that. When you get results keep pushing and marketing even more.

    Best Wishes to Everyone.

You can do it! Keep your head up and remember those that TRULY love you will support you when you're up and when you're down.

Someone who really loves and cares for you will support you all the way to the top, even if you're making nothing, even if you've lost thousands of dollars.

A real friend family member or partner will tell you to revise your strategy if you're not making money but they won't tell you you to quit.

Anyone who does doesn't deserve your love.

You are a warrior! A champion for going after your dreams and persevering despite the negative feedback from others. You are going to make it so just keep going.

Try to surround yourself with people who do believe in you, you are as enthusiastic about internet marketing as you are. Connect with people the way you are now and also on a more personal level.

That should help ease the load quite a bit, if you have someone else you can talk to who is in our industry it can get you through that initial hump that we all had to go through.

Just remember that we all have a strong need to belong in our dominating social environments and that we will do practically anything-subconciously of course! To fit in with the groups that we are a part of!

So make sure you spend time connecting with people in our industry, find some in your area if you can, or in your country at least.

    That can keep you going!

Also try reading motivational content, attend free internet marketing training or if your group holds sessions attend those, we have training three times a week if you need it.

Also you could try watching a you tube video on something like how to succeed in mlm or internet marketing, get out there the way you are now, and reach out to people who have been there and made it to the other side. They will help you through;-)

You'll get there, persevere it will all be worth it

      What keeps me going...

-The horrendously poor public schools that keep us all back

The more I read from Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, D Kennedy, etc, you start realizing how pathetic public education is. It cripples people. Like an aluminum can being crushed, thats basically what happens to your brain after 12 years of government school (propaganda) brainwashing. Part of the motivation of success for me is proving school wrong

Whether that's good motivation or bad, I dont know. I had terrible influences in highschool. It wasnt that long ago. Graduated highschool in 1996. But I still remember little things...like a biology teacher I had. Like in 10th grade, he would do magic tricks for us. And he'd cynically say...oh, if it was so easy to be an entertainer or to be David Copperfield, I'd be on a beach with girls feeding me grapes in bikinis. Stuff like that. Suffice to say, they weren't passing out Tony Robbins books, or anything like that in school.

Many successful teachers do the opposite of what they teach in school (any wonder they're successful?). Instead of short 50 minute classes with bells ringing, you get "immersion" weekends, learning something. Or instead of teaching everything in isolation, as random facts and statistics, you learn big ideas and models. And you learn that everything is connected to everything else.

And everything has gotten so dumbed down now...in the media, on tv, etc...I think success is just overcoming the tidal wave of stupidity that comes at you everyday. Why let others dictate your life.

Also realizing how little most people do. You see the top of the mountain with Tony Robbins, or any other guru. And you realize most are at the bottom. Many big mountains still to climb.
