UPDATE: I guess Steve decided to remove his story which I thought was interesting. Anyway, here's some information for all newbies!!

    TO: All Newbies

You are prime targets for those who have programs that work if you do the work. But unless they, themselves personally use the SAME thing they are telling you to buy from them - forget about it.

People DO what they believe. That means they sell certain products because they believe those will make THEM the most profit. You will get no help and the road will be long and hard. . . and that's if you even make it up that hill alone! It happens but not very often...too much work for too long.

People may be crazy but they're not stupid and that's why they get mad and quit. Lazy has nothing to do with working for nothing. Who keeps working for nothing month after month, getting no help? Someone who isn't lazy? Or someone with rocks in their head?

Look for someone who promotes a product because they believe it will help YOU, make YOU successful, save YOU time and money. Do you really care how much money the guy earns on the product he's selling? Hell to the N O.

Maybe later when you realize how much help that person has given you, then you hope he made enough money so you thank him by promoting him to others who need help and if YOU make some money in the process, so be it. btw there is really no "if" because you WILL make money if you're promoting someone's product for that reason.

Just today, I ran into a Warrior by the name of "ALEXA SMITH" and when you see her profile picture - I would imagine she gets a lot of people noticing her!! You know what I saw? Someone who knows how to leverage what she's got instead of being afraid of what the odd person might say!!

Here's a proven fact too: The ads that get the MOST clicks on Facebook are the ones that show . . . . like this one!! Perfect Size 125x125 and that ad gets lots of clicks too!! It's for FREE Videos - no strings attached and your email address won't be attacked by hourly offers to make you push-button rich either.

Anyway, do a search for "ALEXA SMITH" and then click on her signature at the bottom. I have no idea what the cost might be but her information for newbies might be what you need. This video may help too - it's FREE!

I've got lots of free stuff you can try - too much to list. PM me if you're interested. I'm not an affiliate marketer...I'm more like a scout and a professional fun-haver.

      thanks for this
      i am indeed a newbie
and i just had to give up looking on this WF for a week cos i got so demoralised by people jus trying to sell me
if i see another WSO promising me i will make a killing i likely to scream
i joined cos i want to sell good content on personal and spiritual development
which is where i been the last 20 years
but i completely new to this internet marketing business
      and finding it rather overwhelming
looking for a way to market
that is authentic and in integrity with what i am about
sick of advertising or marketing emails that tell me
i must do such and such
or this is the 'essential course' for the awakening woman

i seem to be awakening very well without it
      thank you

so thanks once again for some down to earth truth telling

I'm also just starting out, have only been in the internet marketing game for an excess of three or four months. I embarrassingly have only just joined the forum and still don't know how to start a thread , so i just searched for "newbie" and this came up looking like a good place to ask.. just after some advice..

        1. what would be the best way to start out, to just come a custom to making money online, whether it be something from network marketing to something like click bank?

and 2. would it be worth "taking the plunge" with one of those expensive coaching programs? or would i be better off starting small before I go spending big money like that?

ps. HOW DO I START A THREAD LIKE THIS ONE?! do i need a certain amount of posts, i looked in FAQ but the buttons they said to click i cannot find!

        Cheers in advance!!!

That link goes to straight to the OTO with 250 MRR REbooks, Websites, Blogs, Templates, etc... from about 2004 - last year but for $10 bucks who cares. Some of them are still being sold at $17ea $37ea. or more.

          http://dgtrek.com/250

NO it's NOT me selling anything - I'm just living up to my name that's all. Tom (ProTargetBlaster) sent that link to me yesterday with a message that said he thought that guy was crazy but, here's the link anyway.

That's a good question, "Where do I start?" That depends on what you LIKE to do because what you LIKE is always what you WANT because that's what you're GOOD at doing.

What happens when people give up what they want for money? You will never be good at what you don't like. . . because you won't do it enough to get better at it. People don't realize money is NOT a reason. It's always a result. Remember what money is and you'll always do what you want because you know results = money.

btw - Spend $10 bucks now and you won't have to buy anything else for a long time - save your money for a good quality coaching program with real professionals when you're ready.

Amazon Web Services Get 1 year free for all new S3 (Simple Storage) accounts. Online business websites are 1/2 off this month - I just need to find that coupon code again.

ps. HOW DO I START A THREAD LIKE THIS ONE?! do i need a certain amount of posts, i looked in FAQ but the buttons they said to click i cannot find!
Go Back up one level and look at the top left and it says NEW THREAD Hmmm, does that mean difficult things are easier for you than simple stuff!!??

            hi guys,

thanks for that link- really great to have this kind of support here at WF!

i'm also relatively new to the WF. browsed around for a little while, and finally decided to jump in both feet. I agree, lot's of products for newbies and i've bought a few things here and there over the last few months.. all great stuff though which helped me pick up things faster- so im thankful that people are putting things out there- free or not- at least i have an option to get through the process faster. (though it does get expensive if ur not making anything happen..)

here's a little bit more about me: i have a product design degree and after working in automotive and medical for 8 years i decided to leave the cubicle forever and promised myself to NEVER go back to a J.O.B.!!!

initially I partnered up with a buddy who has gotten decent results doing seo stuff and initially we were headed towards consulting- but im more interested in learning how to generate leads, ad campaigns and creating mailing lists. that to me is pretty exciting stuff.

on a side note, Ive been involved in personal development/leadership classes and started assisting in trainings- a life changer for me. also really fun stuff..

so it's been a few months now since ive left the job (9). and im starting to feel stretched.. (especially with some serious plumbing issues which definitely made a dent in my savings.. ugh)

so time to make good sh*t happen!!

            dave

      HERES MY "STORY"
First post on the forum, a little about myself: Name is Steve I first got my interest in IM from watching a friend at school my freshman year in college, he was making roughly $1000.00/month. At the age of 18 that was life changing money(still kind of is lol) But anyway, I asked him to show me how he did and he responded by saying He couldn't, that it was something hard to teach and little did I know he was more than right. Fast forward a bit and I've been scammed by "google profits"(i think that was the name), tried my hand at cashcrate(paid surveys), fooled around with GDI(MLM) gave Chris Farrel's program a shot but could not afford to keep it going and tried a course about affiliate marketing and spent my time doing nothing like 95% who fail to get started online. But it was a blessing and a curse as I have learned alot just by hangin and lurking on forums like these and this one included. But i have finally joined and like any other "newbie" I am just looking for direction. My mindset is finally improving i KNOW this can work BUT ONLY IF I WORK. It's seen over and over throughout life that systems work but people fail and I'm not just talking about IM. But thats my little rant and rave for now and a little about me. Thanks for listening and I appreciate anyone who takes the time out to help and even anyone who stops just to say hey. Hope to enjoy my stay here and learn how to finally put this IM "thing" to work for me.

      -God Bless.
      Steve

That's strange? Didn't you edit your first post and write: "woops need to delete that?"

Ed Dale is pretty good too. So is Jim Cochrum, famous for the only book on ebay you'll ever need. I think it's been updated 8 times over the years. And if you really want some juicy news with some shock value, then go to Internet Marketing Sins: An Open Letter to All Internet Marketers

My all-time favorite book by Sylvie Fortin who waited until she was firmly established as Mrs. Michael Fortin before writing that 3 part tell-all series complete with video.

Once you get a good business going, save up about $10K-$15K and let the Fortin's take you the rest of the way! They are professional marketers and won't attempt anything that isn't going to work.

    Hi

I can recommend Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge.. it can be a bit of a roller coaster but worth it 1. for the community of people you'll meet and 2. to test your perseverance and motivation!
