A little trick I use to make me much more productive...

Hi there fellow warrior forum members,

I am sure that this forum is loaded with tricks and techniques to get your mindset right in order to "make" it in the internet marketing world. I myself have already read dozens of them in the Mind Warriors section and I can only recommend that to anyone just starting out or anyone who feels like the world is literally falling down on them!

In the very beginning my biggest fear was that I am not gonna be able to achieve the goal of making a decent income online.

Seriously, it all seemed to me like a whole different universe the very first time I visited the warrior forum and went through the "Special Offers" section. Trust me on this... it can be one of the most horrible experiences ever when seeing hundreds of other people make easy money with almost no effort whatsoever and "brag" about their income by showing clickbank income reports and the like.

It almost kicked me out of the game...

(I think I will soon write a post about my story until the present date with more detail for those who are interested in reading it)

Anyways, I just wanted to share with you one trick that I use every day to jolt me into doing more productive stuff...

Honestly, I use many neat techniques to help me focus on what I have to do, especially focusing on stuff I absolutely hate to do like "writing articles"... I know that outsourcing is an option but I wanted to generate income by myself first and then use the profits for outsourcing purposes!

The methods I use are these:

-
Setting a desktop picture that motivates me
-
Setting a desktop picture that scares me (like a picture of a homeless person) J
-
Hanging up pictures of successful fellas all over the place
-
Reading my goals and plans every morning and night
-
Watching the video made by napoleon hill to keep a positive mental attitude and implementing what he says in it...
-
Watching motivational videos ()
-
Closing my eyes whenever I felt exhausted and start dreaming of how life would be if I would achieve financial freedom
-
Listening to my recordings of "how I will succeed no matter what happens"

Well, I will admit that most of these methods are VERY VERY helpful but they kinda bore me quickly and my mind starts looking for new stuff. But here is what I used to keep me going on and on for a long period of time without even thinking about taking a break...

Last summer during vacation in Alexandria (Egypt), I saw a guy selling replicas of many "rolex" models and one specific model caught my eye and I instantly bought it... it was quite cheap and the quality sucks but I really liked the color and all and didn´t think a long time before purchasing it. It was like "impulsive" buying if you ask me.

Fast forward to the point where the struggles began with internet marketing and me looking for ways to keep me motivated! One day I looked into one of my drawers and recognized that watch lying around and decided to pick it up and have a look at it.

I put it on my wrist and started watching a training course on how to set up a video squeeze page...

I just could not stop staring at that watch and associating it to a lifestyle I have always dreamt of. Every time I felt overwhelmed from there on, I just take a decent look at that watch and it ignites some strange fire within me.... Like a burning desire to continue and not thinking about failing:rolleyes:.

I know that many of you might think I am awkward but I really felt like sharing it with you guys and hoping from some comments if you have any other tips and tricks you personally use!

Thx for reading the post

Love your tips, thank you! I'm always looking for things to keep me motivated, especially visual things as you suggested. Up on my wall I have my goals written (my 'life balance') and what I plan to achieve that week. Above my computer are motivational quotes and in the morning I listen to some songs that motivate me. Need to make myself a vision board.

Thanks for sharing. I'm in a period of low motivation right now (but it won't last long!) and this really helped. I agree with all your methods -- I know not everything works for everyone; each person has to find precisely what works for them -- and then DO IT. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Great story man just never give up and you'll get there. One of my mentors told me that first comes then dream, then the struggle, then victory in that order. The bigger the dream the bigger the struggle. As long as you know theres going to be tough times and obstacles you'll be ready for them. My favorite website for motivation is mycomeup.com check it out sometime... goodluck !
