Learn To Say Thank You To Those That Support You.

Regardless of how little their favours might be, always learn to say thank you to those that support you one way or the other. When you do this, favours will always come across your way, for one simple reason, those that you show appreciation to will always be happy anytime they think about you and the more people have happy thoughts towards you, the more you will find yourself in situations that will make you happy.

Even if you tell them "Thank You" and they dismiss it with a wave of the hand, never cease to tell them thank you whenever they show you some kindness. When you do this consistently, you will always receive mercy and kindness from those around you, even from complete strangers.

Never cease to say thank you to those that support you, when you do this, you are building your own success.

Keep Striving, Keep Believing, Never Give-Up. Winners Don't Quit, and Quitters Don't Win.

Excellent advice. As a manager during my 9-5 job I can say this is very true. Always show appreciation for a good days work. Yes, they get paid to do their job but making sure they feel appreciated will help drive them to do their best possible work!

Agreed. Saying thanks simply lets the users know that you appreciate the work/help that has been done.

Thank you over the years have become more like a cliche. It has lost its meaning and is more like a formality to be fulfilled. Whereas this little word has the power to bring a smile on a face pouring tears. It's the greatest thing you can do to make a person happy. If said by the heart.

I love the word "appreciate" - I think it is often more powerful even than "thank you" It speaks deeper to the soul- perhaps because it is a lesser used word. It's one of my favourites.

    Thanks for a great post!
Most people don't understand this simple fact of having appreciation and saying "Thank You".
I believe the world works like a boomerang. What goes around, comes around. If you are appreciative and thankful for what you have and other peoples help, you will get the same in return.
    Life is too short unfortunately..

    Thanks!!!

Definitely. This reminds me of that fortune cookie I posted a few days ago.

"Nothing costs so little, nor goes so far as courtesy"

I really do wish I had people who supported me. I say this so that anyone who does can sit back and crack a smile that they do have it in their life. Savour it, guys. It really helps if you have it. It's hard going it alone.

Yes Dante, it is difficult to go it alone and it's even harder to go amidst opposition. This is where our belief in ourselves - our purpose, our abilities and our innate value becomes so important.

It is important for every person to have several places to be able to go to feel supported. If it is internet marketing you are talking about - then it seems that this is one place you can get support and feedback! :-)

Also, it's a great practice to say what you are grateful to and thank that every day. You may not always be able to thank somebody in person, but I find that my whole attitude is in a really great place when I spend a minute or two each morning thinking of a few things from the last day that I'm really grateful for. The universe loves it when we say thanks because it shows we are appreciative--and so it send more for us to appreciate our way!

Thanks for the reminder and it's great to see it discussed in a marketing forum!

I also strongly believe in the power of a smile. It can change someone's mood, which in turn can change their life and the decisions they make!

In March l I decided to write one handwritten letter each month to thank someone for their influence in my life. It's a humbling process for me as well as a great motivator for them. They were surprised that I would take the time and so glad to know they had made a difference - Most people don't realise what an impact they have on others.

"Thank you" is a simple and effective way to show our appreciation.

    Here is a great quote:

" The only people with whom you should try to get even are those who have helped you." ~John E. Southard (It's from the Quote Garden site.)

    Keep Smiling!

Thank you all for your inputs on this really important topic! Such important words - thank you, or I appreciate your.. perhaps these words are mumbled each day, and people just tune them out because they are overused, but here is something to add. Sincerity, true honest to goodness sincerity. When either of these words come from the heart and are truly meant, it does come across whether in person or via the written word. Customers know when you are giving them a sound byte vs. when it is sincerely meant. That can make all the difference. It is time to rev up Customer Service, and put the customer first.

Another thing I learned along the same lines is that when someone offers to help you with something not to say "No." Of course, this has it's limits, but I'm talking about things like when you are in the self-checkout line and a clerk comes to pack your bags for you.

I used to say "No, that's okay, I'll do it :-)" I was trying to be nice to them and make their day easier. But that "No, I'll do it" can often convey that you aren't worth the favor. Not only does this cause others to think that you aren't worth it... but subconsciously you start to believe it, too.

So remember that you are worth the favor, and to say thanks when others recognize that, too!

Thanks for this post. Good reminder to us all.
Thank you is two of the most under rated words on the planet. Surprising how many doors it will open.

Most people remember to say thank you to people whose helped them with major things. But what about the waitress who brought your order at the restaurant, the maid that cleaned your room at the hotel, or the mechanic that fixed your car.

Most people don't do this, so do you think they'd remember you and give you extra special service and attention next time you come in? ...You bet. Try it, and watch the extra special service you get.

    Good post!

Taking it one step further than saying 'thank you' is leaving or sending the person a thank you note.

In this day and age with the small amount of times people put pen to paper, a thank you note can make an incredible impact on someone.

Not to play saying thank you down... But how many times does a person get thanked and quickly brush it off? Hundreds. How many times does a person receive a thank you note? Probably only yours, if you send one
