The secret of making money which can also be called the short cut to riches was revealed by Napoleon Hill and W.Clement stone. The short cut to riches is framed up in a six lettered phrase which is:Work with PMA and grow rich. The PMA means 'positive mental attitude' You can get this info from their book titled 'success through a positive mental attitude'

    Mental only is not enough.
    You have to add "Action"

That can only mean having a positive mind in both thoughts and actions if one must get rich and enjoy the fun that comes with it in the long-run. though that does not mean that getting rich has a short-cut but doing the right thing at right time brings riches closer to one at a shorter period especially with right mental attitude

I'll never understand why people on here assume that just because someone talks about being in the right mindset to achieve a goal, that they must not be about taking action. Even the most ignorant person knows that action is required, but the most ignorant person doesn't know that there's a state of mind that has to be in-line with that action.

Completely agree--everytime someone says "positive mental attitude!" there are always fifty "that's bogus, you have to take action" replies. I don't get it.

Obviously you have to do SOMETHING, but guess what? If your head is not in the right space it doesn't really matter.

Yes you definately need a positive mental attitude. But just wishing and hoping with a positive mental attitude is not nearly enough. You also need to take decisive action.

It's great to visualize success and stay positive about it. But if you do all this in the comfines of your bedroom, you'll never succeed. Get out in the world and make a difference. Give of yourself unselfishly - get involved - and take action (you'll know when). I have to keep reminding myself of these things but they do work.

And most importantly don't complain or cast blame on other people or situations. You are ultimately responsible for your success ... or failure.

Hard work doesn't have to mean a lot of work. There is nothing wrong with a shortcut. As a matter of fact the smartest and most successful business owners in the world got to where they are because they figured out shortcuts without cutting down on quality.

And remember, while trying to make the things more "advenced", you are actually trying to make them harder to understand. Keep it simple.

couldn't agree more . Hard work and consistency is would help you get there

However , if all you do is work hard and be consistent you would not necessarily be rich

You probably noticed people in jobs work HARD and they are consistent in their 9 to 5 routine but they are NOT rich

If you want to wind up rich

        1. You must keep at least 10 % of what you earn as savings
        2. Your savings must earn you income
        3. The income from your savings must also earn you income
        4. You must increase your earning ability so you can save
        , invest and grow more

In other words ,it is not enough to work HARD and be consistent , you must also WORK SMART and be consistent

Short cuts are the bait that have led many a would be success story down a primrose path to failure. There are NO shortcuts! There is only Hard Work backed up by a solid business plan and people with the resolve to make it happen.

You've said it well Scott! A lot of people sign up for quick-rich opportunities because they are too lazy to do research and not interested in exerting real effort. In the end, what seems to be a Great opportunity to be rich turns out to be a scam!

  • Short cut is an interesting word. I find that the shortest path/cut is to define specific actions towards that goal and take those actions. Then, every couple of days or so I evaluate if the actions I am taking are taking me in the right direction. That way I can get there faster than if I spend too much time, thinking.

The word shortcut is false. It sets you up for disappointments. I have found no shortcuts, but keep trying because I want to get ahead. And riches is also an exaggeration for most of us.

I agree that positive mindset is very important in any success story. It stimulates you to plan properly and act properly towards your success. It is useless having the right skills without the correct positive mindset and vice versa.

I always say that the right mindset is the initial stimulus that transforms an idea or dream into reality. It gives you the determination to achieve and act accordingly.

Be positive even if you fail. Tomorrow is another day and keep moving on.

At the end of 2008 I lost most of fortune with the collapse of the markets. But my determination and mindset did not floor me down. I stood up and started rebuilding again.

    Thanks for sharing.

There are no short cuts to riches. Setting a PMA is our guide on what should be our outlook in life. A positive attitude serve as the bases on our perception of life that everything we do, we have to look at the brighter side. And one of the most important ingredients to riches is to stay focus with your goal and also, implement your dream or your plan into action. We can't attain that riches just sitting at our couch, we have to work for it. In short, you should put that goal to action for you to achieve that goal.

Keep a positive outlook in life.

I would like to hear from someone who has had a PMA every day, without a fail, for 6 months and failed to be successful.

The truth is that "reality" is not what it appears to be. The idea that action is required is the illusion.

Hints for this are everywhere, dating back thousands of years.

    Take Mathew 17 (I think 17:20)

    ---
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

    ---

Because you do not believe this, it will not be true for you.

Because you believe you must take action, you must take action.

Overcoming life long beliefs, on the deepest level, is harder for most people than anything. Years of programming have given you your beliefs.

So, if you truly believe you must take action, they you must.

If you know that this is all an illusion, and that it is being created by consciousness, then you can create whatever path you so desire.

You should learn to love working for things, because that way they end up being worth so much more, and they definitely last a lot longer.

Clichés - sigh. Why all the hate on shortcuts?

Of course there are shortcuts to success. Especially in IM!

Wouldn't building and working on your own website for three years to the point where it's successful enough so you can leave your job be a total shortcut compared to going to work for the rest of you life and retiring on a pension? A massive shortcut.

What about the guy who invents a wordpress plug-in that saves you hours and sometimes days of frustration and sell it to you for $10? A Massive shortcut.

Or, what about spending time on here reading some articles on communicating with your list so they like you? That will not only save you time to know that but will make you money as well. Both massive shortcuts.

Shortcuts get you somewhere faster (don't they?) than you would without knowing (or buying them). The IM world is full of shortcuts and in fact I think that's all there is on here. Thousands of little shortcuts.

I am on here searching and finding excellent shortcuts and I want as many as I can get so that I know I earned my wealth by searching for and finding as many shortcuts as I can to achive my goal. Why take the long way around?

Going to community college to learn how to make a cabinet is a tremendous shortcut if you actually want to learn how to make a good cabinet.

Seeking and finding effective shortcuts is smart.
