The Reason Why You're Not Making Money...

Most of us think we know the reason why certain people make money online and why others don't. It's the exact same reason why there are athletes and then there are superstars. The exact same reason why there there are guitarists and then there are rockstars. The exact same reason why the one kid's room is messy and why the other kid's always clean (considering his mother didn't do the job for him.)

It's not knowledge, goals, or even taking action. Lots of people know what they should be doing yet they still don't do it.

The absolute, main reason you're not making money boils down to self-discipline. What's self-discipline? It's the skill "to direct and regulate all the various parts of our personality so all of our psychological elements are pulling together in the same direction." In short, it's being able to do. This is different from taking action and I'll explain how in a bit.

It's important to realize:
A part of you does not want self-discipline.A part of you does not want self-discipline.
You're made of up emotions, desires, intellect, physical, fears, hopes, dreams, memories, subconscious, conscious, and whole lot of other things. You may want to get something done but it's important to realize a part of you does not want self-discipline. There's a part of you that wants you to just sit around, be lazy, and watch TV, go on surf on the web, etc.. And the thing is, this part of you knows you inside and out and knows how you use your own fears, intellect, desires, etc. against you. Just keep this in mind.

Now here is a "trick" to get you from thinking to doing:
Have you ever noticed consciously what your subconscious is saying? The self-talk that is running in the back of your mind while you do something? Well it's there and it's justifying why you are doing what you are doing.
To take control, you have the ability to control what you say. But what should you say? A lot of people don't know what you should say and how you say it when using self-talk. When you tell yourself what you want to do and it has to fit three categories to be effective. It has to be:
1. Positive
2. Specific
3. PRESENT-TENSE
Only when it's fits all three of these categories will your self-talk be effective.

For example. Let's say you want to write a new post to your money blog. Instead of saying 'I should write a new post to my money blog..' say "I am now writing a new post to my money blog, I am now writing a new post to my money blog, I am now writing a new post to my money blog, (repeat)" It works even better if you say this out loud to yourself because you'll get your speech and hearing parts of your body working along with you.

Just thought I might share this absolute, GOLDEN tip. PLEASE put it good use! NOWWW!

If you want to really master yourself and master self-discipline, then buy the book called Self-Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore BryantSelf-Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore Bryant . Follow it to a queue and trust me, it will be one of the best decisions in your life. I've never been this sure about something in all my life but this book is fantastic. Buy it, read it, apply it, read it again, and buy an extra copy for your loved ones. (I'm not associated with this book/author what so ever, I really just think people could truly benefit tremendously from it because I know I did.)

I do agree as self-discipline is very important in this industry.

But at the same this incorporates all 3 of the things you said it does not

I believe you need to knowledge, otherwise you are just going to go in circles even if you have the discipline. Second I feel that goals are vital as they are the primary reason you should even be disciplining yourself to do something.

And of course, most important I definitely feel that taking action is vital to success.

If a football star didn't take action, then he'd be sitting on the bench all season and wouldn't be considered a star.

Now I definitely agree on the notion that self-discipline is extremely important and I love to read books, so I am going to take that book into consideration

Thanks a lot for this post and I hope you the utmost success in your ventures

It looks like a decent book. Is there a quick sample/summary?

Also, just a little question.. How would a person who isn't self-disciplined read a book about self discipline?

A person who isn't self-disciplined would probably read a book about self-discipline because he/she knows that he/she wants to be one. Would you read a book about how to use Microsoft Excel if you already know how to use Excel? You wouldn't because it would be pointless

    Thanks.

    I'll definitely check that out!

I think it's possible to be self disciplined but in the wrong direction.

That part of ourselves that doesn't want success can have us doing
things with very little ROI time wise, so while we might be working
hard, it's the choice of work that is the problem.

I see that in me and also a close family member. I can't do anything
about him, but I can make changes in my life.

A lot of the resistance is regarding getting out of my comfort zone.

It is not easy to be happy and disiplined after some days working without any results and without the confidence that we are in the right direction, that is part of the challenge, however changing the words is helpful.

Yeah, very true. Self-discipline is one quality that you may develop that will guarantee you greater success, accomplishment and happiness in your life. As you continue to discipline yourself, you achieve more and more in life. As you achieve more things, you feel more like a winner.
