What is your structure?

We all consciously know what we want in or out of life. The problem for most people is that what they want and what they believe they can have are two totally different things. Today, take a few minutes by yourself and look at how your life is, dig deep. The way your life appears on the surface is that way due to the deep rooted structure of your being. If you really want significant changes in your life you have to go to the base of the structure, because a fresh coat of paint does not correct cracks in the foundation.

Ask yourself:

What am I getting?
Why do I believe this is how my life should be ?
What major changes do I need to make to have the life I deserve?

To Your Success,
Mike

No one can answer the questions that Mike poses except by going deep within and finding the answers for ourselves. What I desire and want to achieve may be far different than what some one else desires and wants to achieve. It's a process of self-discovery.

I disagree .You need this questions to show what is going on in your life .
What you are getting is really what you believe yourself . Results don't lie .
Your results show you how you are really doing.

if you got stretch marks all over your body , chances are your body is telling that you are putting too much in and not taking enough out .

You have to look at what you believe because that is what is creating the results you see in your life .If you are believe you have to finish your plate , you are putting too much in and it is a matter of time before you see stretch marks .

Although i hate jogging almost every morning , i can't argue with the results it is producing .I have lost 10 kg in 3 weeks because i kept at it .

You have to examine your thoughts with open questions . Otherwise you repeat your mistakes and things never change . Do you want your life to be like this forever ?

Only you can choose what to believe . Only you can choose what you accept as true

A good thought executed must produce good results

A bad thought executed will produce horrible results

What results are you currently getting ? Examine the thoughts creating it

I have accepted even though i particular do not enjoy jogging for an hour everyday , the results of good fit body is undeniable

jogging everyday must be a good thought because of what is producing

Examine your thought today with open questions . No thought is living in your head rent-free.

it is creating something in your life .

Soon enough you would act it out and the results will show in your life

So, like mikecsy says Ask yourself:

      What am I getting?

Why do I believe this is how my life should be ?

What major changes do I need to make to have the life I deserve?

A great book to helped me ask the right questions is Ken Fosters "Ask and You Will Succeed"

I reccommend it any day !!!

Questions are very powerful and can change your life .

What Mike is teaching is real-world stuff, not theoretical at all.

Specifically, he is encouraging you to dig deep and do some self-discovery, which isn't theory, but does require some soul searching. Napoleon Hill says the very same thing in Think and Grow Rich in the chapter on Persistence. He even outlines how to snap out of mental inertia.

But you're right on this point sara, it isn't easy. That's why getting in touch with what you're getting and what major changes you need to make to have the life you truly deserve are so important.

Recognizing your points of mental inertia can help you develop your own personal program for achieving success.

      Mike's questions are excellent.

      Ask yourself:

      What am I getting?
Why do I believe this is how my life should be ?
What major changes do I need to make to have the life I deserve?
If you haven't read Think and Grow Rich, you may want to. I found it tremendously valuable for helping me identify what it was that I deeply desired from life and then, best of all, it gave me a 13 step plan for how to set goals and develop the necessary persistence to reach all of those goals.

I totally do agree with you mike because what gives strength to any building or a structure is not the walls or the rooftops but the foundation. If the foundation of any building is weak or faulty then the entire building is prone to disasters such as should there occur an earth quake the whole building would come tumbling down because the foundation or the base was very weak.
Also in the natural, what for example determines the kind ( how good or bad )the fruits of a tree are going to be is not so much the branches or the leaves but it is the the roots. If the roots of the tree be whole/healthy such that they are able to obtain and draw water and the nutrients that the tree requires from the soil then and only then can we guarantee healthy fruits from that particular tree.Yea it is granted that if we should work on our bases/foundations of our lives thoroughly the rest of our lives our dreams, ambitions, plans they would all behave.

Those are very good questions to ask. What is also important is to create action steps to follow that will get you to where you want to go.

Awesome thread! Our beliefs are literally the patterns that create our reality. And a belief is just a thought we keep thinking. I LOVE tweaking my beliefs and choosing WHAT to believe. I learned to only believe what feels good in my gut and it served me very well. Btw I dance 3 times a week and never jog and my body is healthier than anybody I know :p Might want to look into your beliefs. Do you believe stuff like: I have to work hard in order to keep up with the decline of my body? I believe stuff like: My body stays fit and healthy, young and alive forever. We can believe ANYTHING we desire. Just choose to think & believe what feels best. "I allow myself to experience all the abundance & success I can" is a good one for IM Uh, another one that feels good is: "Money flows to me like water flows downstream." "I attract abundance because I feel abundant" I could go on^^ This rocks!

Thanks mike. But I guess its easier said than done. To put my point across, I would it not the one thing in my life that I work for. I get out of my cozy bed in the morning with a lot of things to do and also change the world for better, in some or the other, in my capacity. I love my parents, love my kids, my husband, my car, nature, animals and so on.. But whatever I do is eventually for my own satisfaction. Selfish isn't it?? But tats true. Positive self deception is the word mike.

Thanks for all the great responses, it may seem like a great theory but that is our ego trying to convince us that we don't have the ability to change the way our lives are. The scary part is examining your structure however once we become aware of the fact that our lives are exactly what we created we become uncomfortable in the knowledge that we must change the underlying thoughts and beliefs long before our lives change.

Real food for thought! Thank-you for the great post.

Amazing how taking the first step of any process is always the scariest. Especially when we know we have to evaluate whether how we have been building the foundation of our lives up to this point has been beneficial for our entire beings and lives as a whole.

We often dread having to admit that we could have done things a better way to establish the foundation more firmly. It is however crucial to evaluate this foundation and keep adjusting wherever necessary to avoid stagnating as this will lead to many other frustrations and obstacles.

The mind is one of the most powerful tools every created and it can shape our lives and final outcomes more effectively than mere actions can. Especially when these two are not in sync. For me the greatest thing you can do for yourself as a person is to constantly ensure that your mind, body and actions are truly in sync. When these three things are in harmony, positive energy and success has a far greater chance of flowing through your life.

I am reading a truly inspiring book: "What you say is what you get!" by Don Gossett. This book has made me realise all the more how important it is for your mind, body and actions to have the same common goal in order to overcome the obstacles in life and live the life you were truly meant to live.
