Hard to believe it's already 1/2 gone to be honest. They sure weren't kidding when they said the older you get the faster it goes by. Well on the way to finishing up the goals before Xmas.

I didn't achieve my goal yet. But I've made some progress. In January, I was making 2 - 3 dollars a day with Adsense. Now, for the month of June, I've made over $530 with Adsense. I am getting there... I am getting there...

The goals I made for 2011 have dramatically changed because I have already reached them a few weeks ago in early June.

But the news goals are in place! And much higher for the second half of the year!

Thanks for the goal reminder. It's good to stop occasionally and get the lay of the land.

I brought a website from nothing to under 200,000 Alexa in nine months and it became an authority site. That's nice, but the next goal is to breach 100,000 in the next five months. That will be harder.

What metrics do you use to track your progress on a day-to-day basis?

  I'd say there is still A LOT of time left in the year, 6 months is a long time, regardless about what everyone says about 99% of people don't succeed here, etc, etc. Any normal person that puts their mind to something for 6 months and really actually tries and puts for good effort, will meet their goals and succeed, it's like murphy's law, but backwards :]

in IM i could have done more link building for existing sites. my error was trying to work on multiple projects at the same time and not expanding what I current have. my goal for the next half year is to focus on my existing sites and make them better.

Not yet, but I'm getting closer to my goal.. It's been ups and downs in trying to attain that goal but still, I am closer to it than the previous year. I mean, I can't say that it's in my reach already, but almost. There are still things to finish to be able to attain the goal.
Hard work and perseverance will help me reach that goal.

Having my goals in mind, I believe some were achieved and others are still on its way. And since, more than half of the year passed, it's always good to cheer up and have a glass of wine even for a dollar addition on my income because it's a result of hardwork.

This is also a good time to catch ourselves if we see old habits creeping in and threatening our goals. Another thing to do, is find out what's projecting to be top sellers for this upcoming holiday season; and build the sites now or step up promotions.

CNBC (Business news) has market outlook information on their website, as well as, their cable tv show. You can get information on products that are selling or not, companies and their brands, and what's expected in the future. Also, you can get ideas for emerging or hot niches and info on existing niches such as, smartphones, tablets, children's toys, etc.
