Motivation Perhaps - Can anyone attest to making any real money?

Hello. My name is Mansoor in this is my first time joining this awesome forum. I've referenced the forum many many times, but felt it necessary to go ahead and start posting to get a better insight into all facets of e-marketing.

A quick history of my failures(not life story) - I started doing internet marketing about 2 years ago. Upon getting introduced to affiliate marketing I have made merely $30 dollars and I think that has all come from my girlfriend basically.

So in actuality, since I pay for mostly everything when we go out, she probably just gave me my own money back(lol).

Anyway,...

I have tried a bunch of systems, including the mage system, going out finding niches that are in root of my passions which are basketball, gaming, in addition to finding super deals and just trying to do hard selling with particular great deals from affiliates,e.g... cheap-o-stay and $15 per booking..that is amazing!...

My first question to this community is, could anyone share any success stories on how they have profited within any type of e-marketing???

The only people I know who have made money from affiliate/internet/socialmedia/e-marketing are John Reese, Frank Kern, Ed Dale and others...

(but)..

They have predominately made their money by selling a lot of us on how we can make money..lol...its brilliants...

Of course you can make money online! There's hundreds of thousands of people that do, some more than others but regardless there's a ton of money to be made.

Instead of posting threads like these, I'd focus on spending time on analyzing with seems to be working for people and go after that. No need to reinvent the wheel. Just stick to what is already working and build upon that.

I certainly don't make cash along the lines of those mentioned above - but I have been earning a nice income - 35,000 on the low end to 60,000 last year.

I think many treat internet marketing like they're playing craps. They don't invest themselves into a real business. You have to get real, establish yourself and build a following - like the guys you mention above

Kelly no joke..I swear upon everything I stand for by saying...if you really make that much a year from e-marketing, then you are officially the first real worlder I have ever had the privilidge to speak to,that has reported an actual income from it...

thank you so much...I don't expect you to divulge exactly how you've done it, but are you doing some sort of consulting or anything of that nature or are you putting up links like I am and attempting to drive traffic?

I started out in IM five (maybe 6) years ago - I am now doing it full time.

There are several ups and downs. You have to FOCUS! If I would have had the focus back then that I do now -- I can't even imagine where I would be.

Real people make BIG money online all the time. I started out a year ago with just making a low 4 figure income per month. Now I have grown that and I have never been happier in my life.

I invested in lots of personal coaching and I am now reaping the benefits!

It is not some dream that is unattainable....set your goals...work for it...and you will see the results.

The longer you stay in the game...more doors keep opening.

          I wish you the best!!

yes i agree you just have to do what works and find a good sponsor who is willing to take the time to help you. find out what has worked for others and copy it with your own spin (be the brand !).
i believe helping others get what they want is the fasted way to make money online !

make friends not just customers !

take the time to learn seo social media and tools that will make the processes easy !

the warrior forum is a great resource but get good at doing one thing at a time then move on to the next thing !

and write down what you have to do next day each day as long as you do something positive each day and implement what you have learnt you cant go far wrong.

i have only been doing this 4 months but i have spent most of it learning one new thing everyday and implementing it into my marketing strategy

Well yeah thats what I'm trying to do awesome sir. Indeed, I'd like to sort of mimic or closely monitor what others are doing to be successful, but I haven't seen any realworlder's in a sense make any real sustainable money yet. SEO is everything I know...but most of us are fixated with the heavy brands.

Why would I go to a custom squeeze page, just to know about one particular product, in this case an electronic, when I can just go to bestbuy.com and get it quicker??

I know this was reported in a survey I saw a while back which was very discouraging..

I'm just looking to stay motivated..Even though my girlfriend went to my Derrick Rose fan appreciation page, and visited my affiliate link to book a hotel room for us, garnering $15 bucks for one booking was amazing!!!! I was blown away..

I don't want to come off as complaining..just wanting to learn and get assurance from a couple of you awesome guy in this strong community...maybe some of you guys that have made thousands of dollars can perhaps school me exactly on what I'm doing wrong...I just want to learn from some real worlders..

I am not a big believer in "systems" and more in finding what works for you and simply implementing ideas you pick up along the way.

I just posted about my success a couple minutes ago.

A great number of people treat IM as just a way to make money on the sides. No problem with that but to make real and sustainable income, you must treat IM as a serious business wholeheartedly. Like a business, you must put your time and money into it. Be patient and it will definitely grow.

I make a money online. I do very part time. I do not make enough yet to quit my job, but every month the income goes up. My current income online comes from adsense, amazon and fiverr. I also get the odd seo job from local companies which pay very well.

Some of the mundane things we do like social bookmarking, link building, setting up web 2.0 sites etc, are an unknown strange language to the average brick and mortar business. These people are willing to pay you to do these things for them, if your not making money "online", take the im skills you have learned and apply them to some of local stores for a profit. The benefit of local is you can physically go and meet them.

Are you suggesting put out an ad like via craigslist locally, and offer SEO related services? Does that really work?

Victor, I know someone personally who does this and he charges $300 - $600 on average. Keep in mind that the regular person/ business owner has no idea whatsoever about building websites.

You can even approach them directly. Send out small postcards asking if they're ready to take their business online. Just put your business plan together i.e. your turn around time, have templates ready for different industries, what support you will offer (any training to use the WP dashboard etc.)

You could put a simple Wordpress site together for a few small companies and they will just be happy to finally be on the internet. Trust me on this one.

        Good luck.

BTW - it takes time. You have to hang in there, believe in yourself, stay focussed and be organized. I give myself a pep talk at least 3 times a day. Definitely each morning and each night before I go to sleep. Give yourself small rewards no matter how simple. Today I spent an hour at the beach for all the work I accomplished over the weekend. Every single day I create a list of things to do for my website and anything that's not accomplished is at the top of the list for the next day.

        You can do it.

If you see something people really need and provide a quality product that addresses that need you will definitely make money.

I think selling physical goods on auction sites like ebay is one way quite a few have made their first online/offline money, I know it was my first steady income online.

The online market is a very tough nut to crack, not to mention the fact that if you only focus on making money and not on providing quality material that helps solve problems then you will never make much nor will you understand why.

For the beginner, I think you have to start with an Adsense or affiliate niche site. Do your keyword research and find a good phrase to try and rank for. You get a lot of different skills in place doing this and you can start learning to turn a buck. If you want to get rich in the next 6 months, just forget about it, IMO.

I made peanuts completely online. But what I make offline because of my online efforts is real good !

I make money through web design and SEO to
    a) My in-house events, programs, trainings and
    b) A few clients

It saves a lots of marketing revenue and keeps you alive initially and thriving later on in your business.

I believe - "If you treat online different from REAL business - You'll never make money"
