The one book that changed my life ...

that book is The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason .

One of the greatest books i have ever read in my entire life

It got to understand money in plain english and got me to set goals and have a good mindset

Even though i have been wanting to save money i never did .

after i read it , I made up my mind to put it to the test and find out if he indeedd is saying the truth or lieing to me .

I applied the wisdom and i saved £1000 for the first time in my life and eventually got the money to grow . that was over 4 years ago and things have gotten better ever since .

It is a beautiful woven story that gently teels a how a poor man transformed himslef from the abject poverty to become the richest man in babylon

An amazing would recommend it to anyone

It changed my life .. read it and apply it and watch your life get transformed

Great stuff, thanks for the recommendation Magnates. I've got 100 pages or so to finish my current book and was just wondering what I will read next. Have been meaning to read this for ages.

Long back I read a book written in a regional language, named "Koni"...where it was shown that even with sheer poverty and being victim of injustice, one can go ahead in life..........only if he/she has discipline, endurance, practice, and patience...........But it also shows that hand holding is very important.....hence we all need a good guide/ role model to go ahead in life........

        Hi,
I would like to suggest Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist'. It helps me when I was depressed from my life.

I think money is not everything, it is the inspiration which leads you to the path of success and satisfaction.

The book Loving What Is by Byron Katie changed my way of looking at things and I refer to it a great deal. It is a workbook in a way as you do some writing to help "turn around" your thoughts that hold you back.

For me it was The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck. Not about money at all, but life changing nonetheless.

Uhmm... there are quite a few books that have had an impact in my life. Maybe I should refer to the first one, and the one that has been with me over the years, even when I didn't realize about its message until recently.

The book is "The Neverending Story" by Michael Ende. (The book, not the flick).

Things is, I loved the book as a child, and as a teenager I realized that it was a fantastic parallelism with life. Now I have come to realize that not only it is a wonderful guide to life, but it also speaks about the very foundations of existentialism.

I leave you with the inscription that can be read on the back of Auryn, the symbol of the Childlike Empress: "Do What you Want".

      Remarkable to say the least.

      Ingenius.

I generally consider my self well read, and would consider the book that changed my life the book that I wrote (Or course rather) because it is exactly how I changed my life, but I wont link it here and seem spammy.

What I found was a LOT of books that I have never even heard of! What a joy to find so many new books for me to read.

I mean, if it is "the book" that shaped someone's life, how can you not read it? Who knows when gems of genius are in this list.

I've read "The Richest Man in Babylon" and it is a great book. Ten simple techniques to help you master money. Another couple of great reads are "The Greatest Salesman in the World" and "The Greatest Salesman in the World--The End of the Story".
