How often do you ACTUALLY write down your goals?

I've always been a big believer in writing your goals on paper and then referring to them often.

I've always been a big reader of books that tell me to write my goals on paper and review them often.

...and I've always written my goals down on paper and reviewed them....well kinda of often

If I were to remember every self improvement book that I've ever read that told me... one of the primary vehicles to success is to simply write your goals down EVERYDAY and review them EVERYDAY, I'd probably be someone very different than who I am now.

I'd be different because... I would of done it!

...And then I look back on the things I did accomplish up until now; the money I have made, the projects I have completed, the embarrassing failures I did find a way to bounce back from.

...And I wonder how much greater each one of these feats would of been, if I had NOT written down my goals just once a month, or every day but for only a month...and how much longer would each of them had lasted!?

And so it is with this thought that I've become determined to approach this business (the internet marketing business) with the mind-set of simply following the advise of so many great minds before me and begin to write my goals down everyday.

and my first goal to write down...

I will write down my goals everyday!

and with my rant coming to an end, I will silently step down from the soapbox and ask for someone to take my place with their answer to my question:

How often do you ACTUALLY write down your goals?

going back to my studies

Have a great night everyone.

I'm glad that I'm here, I'm learning a ton!

    very concise. I like it!

...and I've always done something similar.

just not consistently, up until now.

My goals tend to get written down at various random times - on what ever medium is available at the time - like text documents, word documents - on my iPhone and just scribbled down on bits of paper - and are strewn across various places in a kind of 'Nuclear test site' of a way ... !

One day i will collect them any put them all in a nice neat order in one place

Maybe I can set accomplishing this task as one of my goals???

I've started emailing goals and thoughts to myself. I keep the most pressing things starred in my Inbox or create a separate folder for them.

This is convenient because I can ALWAYS do this from my phone if I'm not in front of a computer.

Once in my email, if I want to build on these ideas, I just respond to myself with more thoughts, progress, setbacks, etc. Why didn't I think of this sooner?

I do write down my shopping list if it has more than five items. I also write down my goals if they are more than three. I have have learned to keep a few goals at a time and achieve them before getting new ones.

I have never wrote them down (I´m doing this internet marketing stuff for 1 1/2 weeks ...) but I think I am not so clear about my goals ... I just know that I want to make in very less time very much money ( $ 500 a day or so ...) I think it´s gonna be a big challenge ...

I don't write them down as much as I should. Reading post and books about goal setting gets me going again, but once I get that goal accomplished or sometimes miss hitting it I neglect to reset the goal or write down another. It's something I am working on though.

I've definitely lost touch with this part of my business, but I need to pick it back up!

Everyone says writing down goals on a daily basis is helpful, so maybe I should jump back on it :-p

    Hi ALL,

My laptop is broken and I managed to log on today to ask about goal writing and cant believe this post is up

I have a few questions that I hope you all can clarify for me

    1) All say to write goals, and to write them as an affirmations, but some say with a date and some say without..what do you think and why? I mean wont the subconscious mind then wait until that date for the goal to be fullfilled/completed?

    2) Why are we told to write a goal, i mean, brian tracy says even if you write it and leave it and never look at it again you will amaze yourself that your goal has been reached, well thats rubbish it never happened for me, and yet once I write a goal procrastination falls in and i dont do anything with that paper, so what are you supposed to do?

    3) I know some say to write the goals often, well what many times a day? and why?

    4) What if you write the list of goals as an affirmation, and re-write it many times a day is that enough?

    thank you
