I wanted to motivate you all by encouraging you that you can do it. What is it that you want in life? If you put your mind to it, you can do it. Here are some steps you can use to get the results that you want.

1. Identify your goal
2. Identify your potential obstacles
3. Establish the risks and rewards of reaching your goal
4. Put a potential plan in place ( be flexible )
5. Ask those you trust for advice ( and listen to it )
6. Go for it and never give up

One side note: Be sure that your goal is reachable. For instance, don't make a goal to overtake Microsoft. Don't try to come up with the next great Facebook competitor. Find something you are really good at and have had victories with. That's what you should do. If you stick with what you know, you will be successful.

Finally, find resources online and read, read, read as much as you can. Remember, you can do it!
#success is achievable #you can do it

    @Brian,

    Great post

Just to add on. I definitely agree with your side note. Too many people think that we are building the next Amazon, Ebay, Facebook, or Google and it's not that they are "false hopes", it's just that, you should focus on small goals before focusing on the big prize.

If you have an idea, go with it. Put forth the effort and actually try. But aim for a small goal first. Maybe even saying, okay I'm going to try and get 1 customer a week. Or 1 sale a day. Or 100 visitors a day. And once you reach that goal, set your next goal until you are happy with the results

This a a great plan. One should take time to plan and once you start on the project, there is on giving up!

Mann... I just want to say boy did you guys hit the nail on the head on this one.

I'm talking about the side note. You see I have this friend in LA, and we talk about 3 times a week to discuss Internet Marketing .... and the like. He's also into Network Marketing as well. (Not my cup of Tea), but it's OK for those are into it.

Anyway, I wish that I could help him... because he suddenly came out with this crazy goal to make somewhere around $120,000.00 by Febuary of 2012. I'm he means it.

He's never even made $5,000 on any one venture let alone a Hundred Grand. And he is really going for it. He's taking massive action, but as we talk each week and tells me what is going on. I can already see the steam coming down. But he still wants to shoot for this huge goal.

I know that it is too unrealistic, and I know that his goals should be some what smaller. But he won't listen. And I just hate to see him head down a one way street to disappointment.

I'm going to try to get him here to read you post.

    Thanks

Setting unrealistic goals is a quick way to getting discouraged. That's what happened to me when I first started. It wasn't until I brought myself down to earth, did I start making progress.

A sale of $30.00 can be an accomplishment, as long as you capitalize on it.
