Diddy and Lil Wayne talk about success

IMO what Lil Wayne says is the truth, that simple.

I think you need to listen to this, forget about where they at now, think about where they come from. All the way from the bottom, constantly all the way to the top.

One of the best Lil Wayne quotes I've ever heard is:
"[Rapping] is what I do the best, so why would I do anything other than that?"

Kinda brings the whole "do what you love and the money will follow" concept to mind

Excellent video. If you DO listen to these guys rap, it's all about entrepreneurship, not shooting people and being stupid. That's a huge misconception. That's why rap is popular lately and getting increasingly "worse" depending on how you look at it. Nas was wise, articulate, rapped about much different stuff than Lil Wayne, who is just rapping about grinding and being a businessman, essentially. Great stuff thanks for the post. Lot to learn here.

That's 100% right, these guys are out there and creating a brand for themselves - it definately is all about entrepreneurship!

There are probably a million other rappers out there and for alot of people, rap/hip hop or the creation of any other music is alot of people's way out of their current situation towards something better... Lil Wayne is someone who has one of the greatest work ethics since 2pac and is really teaching people from all walks of life several lessons. Its not easy to make it in their world, but he certainly has - keep it up and thanks for the video!

It's been said above, but for me two statements really hit home for me. The first one is you get out of life what you put into it. To be honest, my results up til this point have been ok and not ABSOLUTELY FRICKIN AWESOME. It's because I haven't put the effort into anything to be able to get great results out of anything.

I guess the second statement for me is I'm only 25, I'm too young to sleep. Where would we be if we leveraged our time to the fullest extent? This is my year to do just that.

See...that was right on the money.

Do what you love, and it won't seem
like work, AND, the money will follow.

    Awesome post...

    Peace and Love

I don't like to listen to rap either, but I can't deny their dedication to success. However, they must not know that the reason why we're on the computer is because of our dedication to what we do and our determination to succeed. We all take breaks from work every once in a while to eliminate under age obesity.

I didn't post that video to make you get away from the computer, but because of the stuff wayne said before that comment, which I too actually didn't understand until you pointed that out - but english is not my first language so... (good excuse, ain't it ).

anyway if they knew that's our job wayne would have said something else

Ahhh, I know. No offense taken. He doesn't know what we do. He was probably thinking about kids who play on the computer all day instead of being dedicated to our craft like his is.

Like him, I'm sure that there are a lot of us who take our lap tops with us wherever we go. Mainly, me.

What he said has lots of truth, they both know exactly what they're talking about.

Actually the entire video has messages of truth.

      Dont take it personally

Russell Simmons and Chris Morrow wrote a book on this topic last year. Its called, Do You!: 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success. The 12 laws are given in the "look inside" feature on Amazon. I love the willingness to mentor those coming up in their field.
I wonder if there is a "Warrior Forum" for aspiring rappers? Hmmmm!
